Typical KOA campground, which for us means positive. The staff were not as friendly as at other KOA campgrounds. They were quite gruff about the check-out time enforcement, in contrast to the flexibility we have found at most other campgrounds. The Internet access is so slow as to be almost unusable, and each device had to have its own password. We camped at Oklahoma City East KOA in a Motorhome.

Sites are dusty gravel. Some have a little bit of grass. It was hot and everyone had their AC on. I found low voltage of only 104 volts at my post. When I told the otherwise friendly camp host he shrugged it off as normal for the weather. These places are getting more and more big rigs and not upgrading the wiring. Except for the dust and low voltage it was a good stay. Far enough from the freeway to be quiet. I would stay here again. Lots of shade. Nice fire rings. Decent picnic tables. We camped at Oklahoma City East KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This a really nice KOA! We stayed here twice about 2 weeks apart. Very nice staff and facilities. The pool was great. Close to I40 but not close enough to be a problem with regards to noise. The bath house is very nice with private showers and bathroom. Most sites are pull through. Fuel is close by. We camped at Oklahoma City East KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There's a Walmart Supercenter about 15-20 minutes away. Pretty easy access to Oklahoma City.

This was a one night stand as we headed home. The park was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the WIFI was not to our standards. We do business on the road and the WIFI dropped us a lot. It was fairly quiet. and the site we were on was semi-level. Our escort told us the park was 30 years old, but did not look like it. I think their price was a little high, but considering the easy access to the Interstate, I guess it was good. We camped at Oklahoma City East KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Very nice location - a short way off highway 40 but easy to get to and far enough to have no highway noise! Grounds are immaculate, staff is courteous and helpful, dogpark is secure but a lot of dirt - would be a mess if it rains. Our only disappointment was our site had absolutely no shade and no cable, even though we requested online. So the lesson we learned was always call for reservation instead of reserving online (helpful tip from front desk staff). Otherwise we liked this park and appreciated their clean laundry room! We stayed here in a 33ft motorhome with our Mini tow! We camped at Oklahoma City East KOA in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

While we don't typically use some of the recreational features of KOA's, this park has it all and is probably the best KOA we've stayed at. Located in a beautiful treed area, the campsites are roomy and easy to access (also has some really good "big rig" sites). We didn't want to unhook our tow car and our site fit that bill perfectly. There's plenty of walking trails around (which our dog really enjoyed) and the park is in the midst of a major expansion (adding a number of additional sites + a small pond area that looks like it will be perfect for enjoying). Camp store looks like it's well stocked and they plenty of propane (which we needed). We would give this a "10" except for an unfortunate encounter with one of the "long termers" there (said he'd been there 15 years). There was no "No Pet's Allowed" signs anywhere in the park (except the Camp Store and a Few Public area) but this irate gentleman tore into us for allowing our small dog (all 20 pounds of her) to pee in "his" yard - I looked around and saw no "keep out" signs and since he was in the overall camp area, it upset me a bit - however, I apologized and went on our way. If they are going to restrict areas in the park they need to prominently display those signs! We camped at Oklahoma City East KOA in a Motorhome.

Lovely treed park. Gravel sites, but level. A little care required to position the coach to allow slides to open without hitting trees, but not a big issue, and worth it for the beauty of the site. Handy to I41, but far enough away to be quiet. Staff very helpful to site us next to friends, even though they were heavily booked. Would stay here again. Very nice park. Stayed here 4 days. Well managed and maintained. Easy off I-40 but far enough away that there was no traffic noise. Only minor leveling required. Site surface was gravel and featured a fire ring and picnic table. We camped at Oklahoma City East KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Typical KOA. Clean, well-managed. We camped in our fifth wheel in full-hookup, pull through site. It was adequate and fairly level. Behind the park are some trails that wind through the woods and are good for a short hike or to walk the dog. KOA's always seem overpriced, but they are good quality rv parks. Came in for an overnight stay. Had site B4 which was plenty long enough for our 36' and toad. Small dirt dog park, but plenty of room for dogs to walk around the park. There are obvious signs the management is upgrading. Sites are terraced so they don't feel so close together. Our satellite didn't work, but there were plenty of over the air channels. We didn't use their cable. Water pressure good, 50 A electric stable. We camped at Oklahoma City East KOA in a Motorhome.

Easy on and off I-40 and average for a typical KOA. Site was mostly dirt and gravel and just big enough for my motorhome. The bathrooms and showers were dirty at 10 a.m. and appeared to be use a lot with signs of abuse. Good cable and Wi-Fi. Would stay here again if passing thru. We had a large pull-thru site with a real patio and real patio furniture and a gas grill. Very nice. There was a small dirt dog run and a dusty dirt trail. Luckily, there were also a few grass fields. The sites near the pool were much tighter. It's easy access from the highway. We camped at Oklahoma City East KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed here on an overnight. Convenient to I 40. Staff friendly. Had ice cold watermelon at 3 o'clock. It tasted sooo good after a long warm day on the highway. Cable TV was pretty good with limited selections. We'd stay her again for an over night. We camped at Oklahoma City East KOA in a Motorhome.
