Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $9.00
Nicely maintained and scenic campground located on Sardis Lake. The camp sites do require some leveling. Restrooms are dated but clean. Potato Hills offers a very relaxing atmosphere with great views. The campground seems peaceful with your fellow campers relaxing or doing some serious fishing. Also, the park is close to other attractions including the Talimena Drive, one of Oklahoma's best road trips. We will return. We camped at Potato Hills Central COE in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: June, 2006 - $15.00
Sardis Lake (Corps of Engineer Park) The campground was very well kept, the Bathrooms were a little dated but clean. The view over the lake with the mountains as a backdrop was gorgeous, especially at sunset. The nearest Walmart is 50mi away, but in Clayton (5mi) there is a Dollar Store and fairly large Supermarket/Deli-Cafe/Hardware Store/Fuel Station called the Country Store. The sites are gravel with some sites sharing water (will need 100'hose). 90% of the campsites are waterfront on Sardis Lake. We stayed here for 6 days and this girl that cannot be this far from a Walmart survived and didn't want to leave. The park rangers were very nice and helpful. Robbers Cave State Park is about 30mi. Very peaceful, shaded and quiet park... Very good for an R&R Stay... Will return very soon... We camped at Potato Hills Central COE in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
