Said to be under new management as 'Eagles Landing'. A large, spacious venue for Class 'A' down to tenters. Clean and groomed, the new owner/managers are very friendly and helpful. 50 amp sites seem to be limited and out site was large enough but without shading. The situation of the property on the lake is perfectly beautiful. First row of sites by the gate are also beside the roadway with resultant traffic noise. Concrete pads but gravel roads. We would stay again. - Vdsavell
May 2015 - $10.00
We found this to be a very pleasant park for our style of motor home travel. Open grassy areas fringed with trees skirted several large ponds and a huge lake. While Bears Den appears to be an older park, we were informed it is under new ownership, and "sprucing up" work was going on all around us. We stayed for two nights before the summer season got rolling, so the park had very few campers in residence. The pool area was quite torn up for repairs, but a lot of painting and electrical work elsewhere in the park was progressing nicely. A long row of pine trees had recently been planted to provide a visual barrier to the close highway. Cable TV service was good. Marker flags indicated that new cable lines had just been laid prior to our arrival. Internet was only available at the clubhouse, but our own Verizon service worked fine. We recommend they add another entrance lane for the park so folks checking in do not block campers returning to their sites. We would love to return someday to check out future upgrades. - The Borgs
Oct 2014 - $10.00
Rate is RPI. Site in the front of the Campground are concrete with pads. It has security gate. We had a nice wide spot & it was long enough for big rigs. We were close to the road & did hear traffic noise but it wasn't bad. There are sites by the lake that are Gravel & grass. Utilities good. No wifi at site but they are working on that. Very friendly people staff. If in the area we would stay again. - jcpjane

We stayed 2 nights. The Park was clean the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great view of the lake. The Park was quiet at night the other campers were friendly. We would definitely stay here again. They had a real nice place for my dog in the back and they could even go swimming in the lake and run off leash. I like that I know some people don't. The Park was clean and seemed well maintained. - Joenorton1
Jul 2017 - $27.00
Very nice RV park on the shore Neosho River which looks like an lake. Sites are mostly pull-throughs turns while adequate were tight enough that they asked to disconnect toad before escorting you to your site. No road noise. All services worked well. WiFi was slow but there were several access points in the park. - Trailbuddy
Jun 2017 - $25.00
The park was very well kept, clean, good city water, and electric was good even though our hookup had a broken outlet. Nothing bad to prevent us from using the 50 amp. Didn't like the dusty gravel roads , but that's part of camping sometimes. Many camp workers out everyday taking care of the place. It has a LOT of full timers; got the feeling we were the only "campers". No biggy, just not many friendly people . I like to just wave and have it returned. The loop we stayed in, #77-125 was pretty vacant. Just fine with us. Full timers stay in the other part. More shade there. #111 to #125 are full sun... We stayed in #90, it was beautiful! Right on the lake, morning shade, afternoon sun. Wasps were bad, but we went back to town (close) and bought a can of wasp spray. Again, part of camping. Got to watch the flock of geese every day in the cove right there. As said before, the Wi-Fi does NOT work. No cable but the antenna channels were good. We got about 35 channels on our antenna. Overall, we will probably stay again, if we can get our spot (you get picky the older you get :) ). We like it was clean and well kept. And very close to town if you need something. If this loop was busy, sites would be very close. With our 32' 5th wheel, our pickup would have been out in the road, but #91 was recently washed out in the flood, so they let us park there. NO PARKING in vacant spaces! - DaneDad76

Would love to stay here in a cabin some day, but the RV sites are a little scary. Roads are too narrow, and the park is not well maintained. However, the cabin area looked clean, and they do have a pool. Will never stay here in an RV again. - GrandLakeCamper091
Oct 2013 - $20.00
We thought this was very nice park, granted the sites were a little close but we had room to open the awning. There are only 6 sites open for rent, but we enjoyed our stay and will go back. The staff were nice and helpful, they had already started decorating for the holidays and it was very pretty. We camped for 3 nights. - User3253
Jun 2011 - $20.00
This park has only 6 spots for nightly rental. All others are semi- permanent. It is more of a trailer park/cabin facility. Very, very tight to get into. Not big rig friendly. The boat launch ramp is an incline railway that you tie your trailer to and lower with a winch into the water. We used a neighbor park ramp. We will not return, as there are many better parks on the lake. - cpeters

I have traveled all over. This is one of the best places I've stayed at. It's not right by the lake but very close to the Marina. The staff are very friendly, the area is kept up well. All the drives are cement. I stayed here 4 to 5 times in 2017. A great place to bring your camper, your boat and is close to the casino or night clubs during the summer months. - Stingme
May 2017 - $26.00
This is a new park (about 2 years). They are still adding facilities to the park - such as a new pool. They have a playground, a dog park. Each site has grass and a picnic table. The park was easy to get in and out. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our only issue (which is the reason for the rating) was that the beautiful concrete sites were all slanted toward the office. This wonderful for water drainage, but we had to use blocks in order to try to level our motor home. The only way to get it completely level was to take our front tires off the ground which we did not do. The other issue was that the sewer connection was at the front of the site. As a result we did not hook it up. Personally, I think this is a great facility for 5th Wheels and trailers - not so much for full sized RV's. The next time we are in the Grove area, we will look for an RV park that may not be as nice, but has level sites for RV's. - GregandNancy
Apr 2017 - $25.00
As a previous reviewer stated, the sites are all concrete, but not level. Neither side to side, or front to back. Guess they did this for drainage. While we were there it poured cats and dogs and it sure did drain. So, bring your blocks and levelers. Trees that have been planted within the park will take a few years to be useful for shade. Very nice pool area and playground for the kids. We were there with an Escapees rally and were treated like royalty. - Keith52

Oct 2017 - $30.00
This park is a real gem. It is advertised as an "over 50" campground, but grandkids' visits are welcomed. The owners are polite, gregarious and helpful. The campground has excellent water, and is situated on the shore of Grand Lake of the Cherokees. Full service and well maintained. We will come back to this park. - jamesboardman
Mar 2016 - $25.00
I don't usually sleep without ear plugs when we are camping. But, this campground is so quiet, ear plugs were not necessary! Slept the best I had in two weeks on the road. The owners, Erv and Kathy, are just the nicest people and are very helpful. Flowers and birds were abundant in the park. Full hookups meant we didn't need to use the campground showers (which could use updating). The view of Grand Lake is beautiful, plus Bernice State Park is right next to this campground. There is a paved path through the State Park, as well as a couple of bird watching blinds. We will definitely be back! We camped here in a travel trailer. - HuskerMama
Sep 2015 - $30.00
Older style park, very quiet with lovely views of the Lake. About 5 miles off the Highway and centrally located to nearby towns and Monkey Island. The owners are just delightful and nothing is too much trouble. There is no laundry but an excellent Laundromat 1 mile down the road. We did not use the bathrooms. Gravel sites with grass. Good wi-fi. Ensure you pull up before entering the park so that you can be met by the owner and directed to your site. Only a few others were using the park while we were there. Stayed in 38ft motorhome with tow. - OzFrosty

Found this via GPS and reached owner by phone to reserve a spot. The park is remote, it was late and we just decided to tough it out and stay after finding this. Not even a building for restrooms; the only residents there were those who might not have had anyplace else to go. Park has a 'For Sale' sign and apparently hasn't had any maintenance or grounds-keeping for several years. We used our own water supply as what came out of the tap at the campsite smelled and looked very bad. - cmclark

Very nice campground on the lake. Sites would be very close together for a state park if full. Nature Center and walking trail at campground. Fire rings at several sites are small rocks in a circle so not sure if "legal" or not. Right on highway so a bit of noise. All sites are back in. A few smaller sites are right on the lake. No attendant or camp host at this time of year so picked site and paid the iron box. Garmin GPS and Apple maps had different directions. iPhone map app was closer to I44 than Garmin RV route. - NanciRV
May 2014 - $20.00
These are all back in sites, if lots of other campers are there it may be difficult to back in a bigger rig. The site was very level with lots of nice shade trees. There were some bugs by water's edge but, not many in our campsite. The park was quiet and clean. We would stay here again. - Pamela & Gerald
Nov 2013 - $10.00
Update to this park. They have added very nice 50 amp towers. The towers are similar to marina towers. Still no sewer hookups but still great views and quiet. - timbo1

Great layout of asphalt driveways and concrete/asphalt pads among beautiful mature trees!!! This park sits on the top of a hill/knoll and has the lake on three sides! No WiFi, poor OTA TV....but a great park to enjoy the outdoors, lake and on-site swimming pool. Older toilet /shower facilities need updating....but are clean. Wonderful camp host! - Timberwolf1
Jul 2015 - $20.00
Nice little state park. All paved roads and pads. Only set back is they don't have full hook ups. We only stayed one nights, so that was not such a big deal for us. The restrooms are adequate and clean, but could use some updating. They have a large lake for fishing and they do have a fishing dock where the kids were catching some bluegills. There is a very nice clean and large pool that you can use if staying there, and there is no cost to use it. The park is clean and is a nice place to stay. It is not very well marked from any roads, but we had no problem finding it. - bcamperman
Sep 2012 - $23.00
Very nice park. Very clean and quiet. We were in a motorhome.. Would have gave a 10, but no sewer hookups. Park staff helpful. All roads paved. Lots of 30A hookups, very few 50A. Pads reasonably level. Off the path but worth it. Some low hanging trees coming too park from main road in town (State Park Rd.). They have after hour checkin, via deposit envelope into park pay box. Basically serve yourself park. Find a spot then deposit envelope within one hour of parking. Restrooms very nice. Grounds very well cared for. - grandlake1

Nov 2015 - $25.00
This RV park is a retirement community of mostly mobile homes but they also have 25 RV sites available for long term stays. The park is under new management and the permanent residents seem to be happy with the change. The grounds are kept immaculate with no junky trailers. We stayed here for two months in the summer and it was HOT but we were able to cool off in the lake since there is a swimming area. I hear the fishing is great although we did not do any fishing. We had to squeeze into our lot between some very close trees but once we were in it was nice. The some of the RV sites in the park are quite a challenge to get into which is probably why they only cater to long term campers but generally, most of the lots are pretty roomy. The residents are all very friendly and we enjoyed our stay. If they offered Wi-Fi and/or cable I'd have given this park an excellent rating. - Gypsy Cat

This is an older Coast-to-Coast park that needs updating. We were able to get a site overlooking Grand Lake since there were very few people in the campground. The park roads are narrow and our big rig hit a few limbs coming & going through the park. Our site was unlevel and we had to use leveling blocks on our front wheels. The full hookups worked well and the park's WiFi service was slow but usable most of the time (we had to reconnect several times while we were there). Most of the sites are underneath trees, so getting a satellite connection would be difficult in the summertime. We had a great view of the lake. Our AT&T service worked well in the park. A number of the sites have only 30 amp service (we got one with 50 amp). - Co-Mike
Jul 2015 - $10.00
We have traveled from Washington state to Oklahoma to visit with family. We chose to stay here because it was one of Coast to Coast /RPI membership We were not satisfied. We have a large motor home and the roads were steep . The campground was not equipped for large RV. The place is in need of repairs. - Dee51
Jun 2015 - $10.00
Very friendly facility. Welcome was wonderful. Very large long sites. We came through during tornado weather. First warning we have experienced. Everyone kept us calm. Nice little store in welcome center. Gave us the option to use our points or pay $10. This is a Good Sam, RPI, Coast to Coast, Passport America and many other ways to discount. Facilities are older but well maintained. Lots of fishing facilities. Showers were older but clean with HOT water. Nice laundry, $1.50 wash and $1.25 dry. Propane service on site. Good free Wi-Fi. about a third of sites are owned privately. Two pools, one outside one inside. They accept mail for visitors. The only negative was that we had last year's insulation from water pipes laying around our site. - DigMyPast
