12 Parks near Crowder, Oklahoma
Sep 2016 - $20.00
Spent a week here, parked next to Lake Eufaula with 50 amp service, good water, great AT&T Internet/phone, Tulsa tv stations on the air. Owner helped us get to our site, pick it out and even offered to take me to town when my truck axle broke (causing us to be here a week). This used to be a COE campground, but the current owner is making improvements. Very quiet - almost no road noise and you can barely hear the train a mile away (not one train has blown a horn/whistle). We have a large toy hauler and it fit perfectly. Owner comes by weekly (more often if you need him to) and drains your black tank (at no extra charge) and they encourage you to dump gray water out on the grass. - Don Self
Aug 2013 - $23.00
We stayed here for 1 night passing through. The lake is beautiful but we will not stay here again due to the lack of restroom facilities. The restrooms did not have doors on the stalls in the women's and were very dirty. Had to walk around several large spider webs just to get in door and also had many dirt dabber nests inside the stalls. The restroom lights were not able to be turned on in the early morning hours so a flashlight was the only light. If you camp in one of the lakefront sites the restrooms are about a 10-15 minute walk with no outdoor lights between. If you intend to use the campgrounds restrooms do not stay here, it is downright scary! - User3145
Sep 2012 - $20.00
Staff was friendly and very helpful. This being the off-season, I pretty much had the park to myself. Lots of good hiking areas, paved roads for biking, and swimming in the lake. Many mature trees for shade. The bathroom could use an update and some repairs, but since I spend a very small percentage of my time in the bathroom it was not an issue. Many good restaurants in Eufala and McAlester. - rdrunner
May 2011 - $20.00
Located up a steep hill on a narrow road. Only sight of life was a pit bull dog behind a glass door with a sign, "Beware of Dog". We looked around and nobody came to help us so we left. We found it in the Oklahoma tourist book. It is at the same exit as the Crowder Family Campground but off to the west. Looked like everyone was a permanent resident. - junkmale56
Sep 2016 - $24.00
I stayed in the Turkey Flat campground. Its was renovated a few years ago and is still in very good shape. One thing I found bit confusing was their numbering scheme. Sites with the same amenities are consecutively numbered, i.e.: 10 & 11 both have full hookups. Consecutive does not, however, mean adjacent. 10 & 11 are at opposite ends of the campground.
I don't want to be too critical of the office staff. They are friendly and try to be helpful but they seem to be a little confused about their reservation system. I've been here twice and there were questions about my reservation both times. Things were quickly straightened out but it would be a good idea to bring your receipt if you reserved and paid ahead of your arrival.
Satellite should work fine on most, but not all, sites in Turkey Flat. Other areas are more heavily wooded. - ljr
Jul 2016 - $24.00
Very nice RV park... cement pads very clean and restrooms and showers are very clean as well . Arrowhead State Park Golf course is a very good golf course close to RV park if you have a toad. Also the RV park is within walking distance to fishing.
Overall a great place to stay. - NormB
May 2016 - $24.00
We stayed in the Lake Loop Section which is not nearly as nice as Turkey Run. Due to RV issues we arrived a day late, but had called and notified them. At 5:00 on Friday afternoon our site was full of heavy machinery and downed tree branches. This despite having a reserved sign on the post. We just moved to a non-reserved site as the office couldn't reach maintenance. Lot spacing was nearby with some shade. Site surfaces were asphalt and featured a fire ring, picnic table and patio. - MThome
Oct 2011 - $28.00
Love it. Lake Eufaula is a very cool lake and we enjoyed every minute there. Great people and great food. Relaxing atmosphere. Will stay again when we are in the area. - ombsongs
Mar 2010 - $45.00
We liked this park very much. This park is definitely kid friendly and a excellent staff. Lot of activity for children. This is a great park resort. Oh yes, they also serve Starbucks coffee. It appears to be a new park and the sites were drive through with concrete pads. Some of the sites were close together, but when we were here, the park was not full. Only bad things we experienced at the park was the annoying train tracks nearby, that travel throughout the night. We would come here again - detkicker
Jun 2008 - $40.00
This is a brand new park, and some of what they advertise is not yet there, but they are not discounting anything. The pull-through sites are a gravel parking lot; no shade except for 1 old tree. At one end of the 7 spaces are some water only sites on the lake. The store is open and so is the putt putt golf. Carry everything you need as the store has all the Jellystone things but not much else. We drove through before we brought the motorhome up, and the wife said no way were we camping there. - Chuckl
Apr 2016 - $11.00
50,30 & 20amp Electric good, Sewer is a dump on the way out. Water @ 60 psi. Wi-Fi not available. AT&T Cell Phone Good 4bars. AT&T Air Card very good. Verizon 4G LTE Air Card good. Cable not available but can get Over the Air fairly good. Site #22 is outstanding. Very wide, exceptionally long and lots of room between sites. Roads to the park are good. Interior roads look bad but are asphalt and cracked but not rough. The new Restroom near the play ground is outstanding. However the older ones are pretty sad. Laundry not available. DirecTV Satellite is accessible depending how your dish is used. Most are good if your dish is on a tripod but if on the roof may be a problem depending on your site. Discount available for Golden Age and America the Beautiful for 50%. Payment by credit card online is good. About the park. A lot of it was damaged by the recent floods. The 30amp sites are mainly older sites. Water is shared between sites and is way far away so have a lot of water hose. Sites range from very small to good in length, a little small in width for the 30amp and be careful when pulling into the site. The sites that were damaged have been upgraded to 50,30,20 Amp and are asphalt with a large pad and patio. These are very good and most are now Walk in. Get one of these if you can if you have a large RV. I would absolutely stay here again especially if I can get one of the newer 50amp sites. - TXBobcat
Apr 2014 - $9.00
A faded beauty. The June 2013 review is exactly on target. I would add that on our loop the asphalt pads are crumbling so that we had to have one side of our rig on the dirt. Leveling could be a problem. Our site, E-18, a pull-through, required a very, very tight turn for our 32 ft trailer. I should have backed into the pull-through! We would come back but it is not up to the normal COE high standards. - rncordy
Jun 2013 - $9.00
Wednesday, June 12 - Eufaula Lake – Belle Starr Campground, Corps of Engineers, Eufaula, OK. The reviews have always been good for this campground, and I love the COE campgrounds, but I can see where the funding is just not there anymore. There are 115 sites with electric and some of them 50 amp and many have water hookups. The site we had was right on the lake but small with no water hookups. There was another site right to the left of us, and if any RV came in we would have been blocked from getting out but it did not happen. This is one of the biggest lakes in OK, and very windy, and it looks like it has the red clay underneath it. The nicest sites are the pull-throughs right next to the water sites C22-32, but those are first come. Reservations can be made for some of the sites. Tables to cut up your fish were at every site since this is a big fishing lake. Bath houses were not that clean, but it was in the late afternoon when we checked them out on a very hot day in the high 90’s. We followed the directions, but we missed a small sign to get to the park so it took longer to get there off of Interstate 40 than we planned. Nice park, but I don’t know if we would return since there are also 8 other COE campgrounds around this lake and some state parks. It only costs us $9 with a pass for the site. - gsnakehill
May 2016 - $30.00
Probably the worst campground we've ever stayed at. Their pull-through sites are a joke, extreme ruts and so un-level I didn't want to unhook from the truck because it would be too difficult to hook back up. Trains coming by, 1-2 per hour all night long. The lady that checked us in was nice enough, but didn't have a clue when dealing with the RV park. We could have gotten a discount but she couldn't find her discount sheet. The electric hook-ups were confusing, the people next to us were hooked up to our service. We are normally not to hard to please, but this place is a disaster. Boon-docking would have been a much wiser choice. - mfcros
May 2016 - $21.00
Well, it is great for an overnight stop. If you are a light sleeper be aware of the train approx. every 2 hours and they are not shy about laying on the horn. There is a stockyard above the park, we were not bothered by the smell even though it was a windy night. You have to check in at the motel and then drive up to the RV section, the road is gravel and deeply rutted when we visited so get there before dark to navigate safely. The restroom was clean but did not have any paper products. The showers were clean but the door did not lock. Sites were hard to get level, but only stayed overnight. - Sharpe7tex
Sep 2015 - $23.00
First site had reversed polarity so we moved, but we were uneasy about the electric. Very friendly at office. They seem to be making improvements. Cute town. Ok for overniting. - Wanda-Al
Sep 2016 - $39.00
What a cute, clean and fun RV park on Lake Eufaula in Oklahoma. Spent Labor Day 2016 here and made a last minute reservation. Betty at the front desk was fantastic and most helpful. They have a whole section for people with horses and horse trailers as well. Its 10 minutes to the nearest WalMart and town. The sites are large, cement and spaced nicely between each other. Very, Very nice park, would definitely stay here again if in the area. Great dog park, two side by side, one for big dogs and one for little ones. - Okstatefanz
Aug 2016 - $35.00
The park has very level cement pads, good water pressure and great southern exposure. Excellent management and very friendly staff. - sfaunt
May 2016 - $35.00
Too late I remembered why I passed this place by last year. Way too much noise from 69, and a train track close enough to disturb the silence.
Inside the park, I have been listening to car alarms, barking dogs, screaming kids, stereos and so far four fools blasting past my rig exiting the park.
The roads were one continuous pothole. The sites were concrete, the utilities were positioned just fine and the cable was horrible. 18 lousy channels. The dump has a swimming pool and a meeting room.
One more thing, there's a bar right next to this dump that made noise until 2AM.
This morning while trying to unhook, I stepped in dog crap. - Author
Oct 2016 - $1.00
We stayed four nights. Slip was totally gravel, without table, concrete pad or shade but with lots of sand spurs. Wifi was actually reasonably good. Good cable. Restrooms and laundry were good. Storm shelter was immediately available and nice for a hiding place. Grounds were well kept. Playground in good repair. Watch out for the speed bumps. Large storage area for boats and RVs. Only glaring deficiency was presence of many pot holes, both over filled and not filled. Past the rough entry things were pretty good. The staff was friendly and helpful. They held a package that arrived before us. Great place if you have a boat. Lots of shade for longtermers. - Vdsavell
Aug 2016 - $25.00
No customer service. Prior to our stay, called three different times and never received a call back. Like most parks, WiFi service can be slow. They do offer to purchase higher speed WiFi, but you guessed it...called the front office and they didn't know how or know anything about it (was on their web site). - Diane M S
Jun 2016 - $5.00
We only stayed one night. We had trouble with one AC so left early next morning to next destination because one wouldn't work. It was a very nice park and I wish we had more time to spend there. Lots were spacious and offered some shade. Site surface was gravel. Campsite and amenities were clean. - Dkkirkland
Dec 2016 - $26.00
We stopped for an overnight and everything was in order. We almost had the park to ourselves. The washrooms were closed this time of year but we didn't need them. There are some very fine pull through "superior" sites on the lake in the lower loops that are well worth the small additional fee. - Judy Birchland
Sep 2016 - $26.00
This is a sweet park, at least off season, and is good for an overnight stop on your way across country. It is close to Route 40, was quiet, has some sights with nice water views. - Chinnebago
Sep 2016 - $26.00
The park us about 6 miles south on Hwy 150, off of I-40. We had site 93 in the Lake View Circle. We had a view of the lake in a pull thru site. Very nice, quiet. Roads were good. Site was concrete. Exactly what we like trees, water and comfortable site at a reasonable price. We had good water flow and electricity. We would return. - Thirdtime
Nov 2016 - $14.00
Sites are fairly close together but fairly level. Off the beaten path. - mrracechaser
Nov 2016 - $14.00
This is a nice little family-run RV park a couple of miles off the interstate. We seem to stay here every year on our sojourn to the west or returning to east. This is a very nice, well managed park and a good place to stay for a night or two while on the road. The hookups are modern and work well.
The area is rural and very pleasant The sites are reasonably level. We will stay here again. - hoppytoad
Oct 2016 - $20.00
Nice little park about 3 miles from I40. Friendly staff. No cable but OTA brought in 20+ channels. Strong Verizon signal. Park has wifi but I Used private Verizon. Utilities mid site but sewer connection is at a funny angle making it hard to connect. Site was not level but jacks leveled the rig. - Bobco
