Our place was a pull through. Very narrow. Hardly enough space for slide outs. Not enough room for picnic table between rigs. Had to put at front of space. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Motorhome.

We have been here several times in the past. See my 10/17 review for a more detailed review of the park. As usual, this park provides an adequate overnight stay. We had one of the narrow, FHU, pull through sites in the open (good for satellite TV reception) area in front of the office. There is have cable TV and the Wi-Fi worked fine for our minimal (e-mail and web surfing) needs. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a convenient overnight stop right off of the interstate. Spaces are close. All hookups worked. The office staff was friendly. Nice restaurant & gift shop near by. If you have kids there are some activities for them, although the pool was closed when we were there. We would make a brief stop here again. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Motorhome.

The previous reviews were not positive but this KOA fit into our schedule so we decided to give it a try. Most important to our site was level black-top with room to park our road. Yes the sites were extremely close but we were only passing through and it worked for us. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Motorhome.

So, as a previous reviewer stated, you have to drive through the parking lot of a business to get to the park. As soon as you drive into the park, there is a long strip of RVs parked right in front of the office. These are the people who live there full-time, all year. So they have stuff stacked all around their RVs and it's not the most attractive first impression. The bathrooms were okay, not fabulous. The pool was nice. They use salt water in their pool, so that was an interesting change from the norm. I kind of liked it, but my husband wasn't that into it. Either way, it's clean, so that's good. The cable and Internet were okay. The cable wasn't as clear as we are used to at KOA, but it worked. The internet wasn't great, but that's kind of typical at a lot of parks. They sent us and other travelers to spots on the other side of the hill from the office/pool/playground area. These were nicely shaded and we had room between us and the nearest RV. We had a pull-through and it was easy peasy. The playground has this awesome huge jumping pillow. It's kind of like a trampoline. All of the kids I saw there liked it. My daughter loved it. I even saw quite a few adults get up there and jump around. It was cool. The playground also has several workout machines. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Motorhome.

This park is located next to a Cherokee Trading Post. You must go through the trading post parking lot to access the camp ground. We arrived after hours and pretty much had to fend for ourselves to locate an available site. The interior roads are paved and can be difficult to navigate. Sites are close together. Met with staff in the morning to ensure we had paid the proper amount for the site. Staff were friendly. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Motorhome.

Campground is clean with very readily available trashcans throughout. We did not use the bath house or laundry so cannot speak to those. There is a pond which one of the cabins appeared to sit right on. Had to look for a staff member both when checking in and out. Many construction workers there long term which I have no issue with. Those I spoke with were friendly and quite nice. It is easily located as it is RIGHT off the highway which gives you a lot of road noise. Spots are very narrow and close together; we had literally a 1/2 inch to spare when we pulled our slide out. I personally would not stay here again just because of all the road noise. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We have been here before and knew what to expect. As I detailed in my prior review, there are 3 main sections of this park for RVs: There a couple dozen W&E, back in sites in the heavily treed section of the park, a line of 19 VERY narrow, FHU sites right in front of the office, and a dozen slightly roomier FHU sites in front of those. The sites in the trees are best for smaller RVs and those who don't need FHU. Almost all of the 19 VERY narrow sites are taken by what appear to be area workers. Some of the better FHU sites were also taken by extended stay customers. We had one of the dozen "better" FHU sites. The sites also have cable TV with almost 40 channels. Unfortunately, although the picture was good, about 1/3 of the channels had NO audio at our site. By the time I realized the problem, the office was closed. Many of the sites in front of the office are satellite friendly. The Wi-Fi worked well enough for our minimal (e-mail and surfing ) needs. In addition to the bathrooms and laundry in the main building, there is a fairly modern separate bathhouse building by the end of the FHU rows, but it is still not quite adequate because of all the non-sewer sites. There are also 8 cabins/chalets plus numerous tent sites. The cabins are near the lake. There is a pool (closed for the season), bounce pillow, game room, and playground. In addition to the kids stuff, the playground area actually had several pieces of metal, adult exercise equipment that was painted colors to match the kids playground equipment. I've never seen that before. The staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful. I saw no sign of recycling. This is a decent spot to stay for an overnight if all you want/need is FHU, cable, and decent Wi-Fi. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Motorhome.

Mostly permanent trailers for what appeared to be oil field workers. Rent a small site and park your truck(s) in the roadway. Sites were very close. We lucked out and had quiet neighbors, otherwise there would have been a problem. Decent location for an overnight but a run down KOA. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Motorhome.

An overnight stay. Sites are narrow, but fortunately we didn't have anyone out our front door, but if there were, it would really be tight and cozy. Driving east on I-40, there are NO signs to indicate which exit, we were thankful we had GPS. Once we crossed over the freeway, we see the sign on the westbound lanes. You drive through a big round/about/way parking lot but there are KOA signs with arrows painted on the road (kinda weird, but it works). The person checking us in was less then friendly (not rude), just not friendly. Hookup boxes are outwardly exposed and falling apart, asphalt is breaking up (tho site was level), structurally this KOA needs some TLC. On the other hand the bathrooms/showers were big and clean (which is a plus). Cable TV in our spot didn't work, so we just connected to the empty spot next to us, but still, shouldn't they be checking/fixing these things? WiFi is working great for us in the later afternoon, so that's a good PLUS. I-40 freeway noise is very noticeable, but we're not the type that gets bothered too much by the sounds of tires, others may. Glad we're only here for one night. Probably will find another place to stay if we're ever in the area again. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We pulled in as a terrible storm was inbound. There was no one in the office, and it appeared closed, so we just grabbed a campsite with a pull-through. I found a registration box, so filled things out and left a credit card number in the mail slot. A long-term camper says the woman there often leaves by early afternoon. We barely got the electricity hooked up when the storm hit, so we didn't bother with the water using what we had onboard already. The weather was pretty scary, so I got on the rain gear to locate the storm shelter which was the new and very nice cinder block reinforced bathrooms about 50 feet away. I felt better knowing it was close by. I was really glad to have extremely narrow campsites, as two huge motorhomes pulled in on either side of us which helped block the wind a bit. Still it was a pretty sleepless night with wind and driving rain all night. Wifi didn't work at all, but we hooked up the cable during a brief lull to watch the weather. It worked pretty good. It was a good place to get off the road. Following the signs through the parking lot of the Cherokee Truck Stop was pretty easy as they were painted every few feet on the parking lot and driveway. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The previous Jan 2016 review pretty much nailed it. You have to drive thru two other parking lots to get to the campground entrance, but the route is well marked. The spaces are very close together, think "rally style" camping. This is an ok place to stay and was located at the right place during our trip to give us a park to overnight in. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Not the best CG out there, but fine for an overnight stay. Access just off I-40; a bit confusing to find (you can see it but can't seem to get there), but stay on access road right next to the Interstate to gain access. Sites tight, yes, but we didn't have anyone on either side so we didn't feel it. Lady in the office couldn't have been nicer. Bathroom new, large, clean and nice. This park is not hard to find from I-40. After turning right into the Trading Post/restaurant parking lot, simply follow the KOA signs painted on the road. The park is down the hill. We were first assigned site #68 but discovered the electric plug connection was upside down! We moved to site #63. All sites are asphalt and many have the asphalt pushing up in the middle or sides. Some have jack indentations from previous rigs. The sites are very narrow so the front driver slide may extend over your neighbor's picnic table. We would probably find another park if traveling this way again. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Motorhome.

Had to get to the camp site via a dirt road, lots of dust and ruts. The campground had lots of deep ruts and was very dusty, one of my basement doors popped open because of extreme ruts. Would not stay here again. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Motorhome.
