The site was level, graded and had some grass. It was adequate for a nights stay and easily accessible from I40. We would stay here again. - Altoflyfisher
Aug 2016 - $12.00
Great place for a stop over on the way to/from Texas. Our rate was for Passport America, which is good for 2 nights. There are sites with 30 amp service and sites with 50 amp service. Our site had 30 amp, so it was cheaper. Sites are good sized and most have trees. Picnic tables are lacking in this park, but there are a few. Most sites had shade trees. Dish TV worked well here as did AT&T cell phone and Verizon MiFi. We will stay here again when passing through the area. - Bobbi1948
Aug 2016 - $14.00
Great place to overnight. Be sure to ask for a site that allows satellite reception as most sites have trees on one side and/or the other.
Here are the instructions for getting in the park. Last year, the convenience store was open and that was the office for the park. This year, the store is closed for business and now the 'office' is in the restaurant adjacent the park entrance. If you call for reservations, which is advisable for this one reason, they will put your name on the site pedestal. Park, hook-up and go to the restaurant to pay or sometimes they will meet you at the site. If you are 40' or longer, I recommend you park in the second row of pull-throughs.
Careful pulling in or out of the lot as there is no driveway. You have to pick your way back onto the street off the property, especially after a hard rain or storms. - R_R PRanger
Sep 2016 - $12.00
This is a very well kept city campground in a large park with several huge graveled pull through sites and lots more grassed sites. There is no sewer at site which is the only negative. The dump station is on the access road which is quiet enough during the week to not pose a problem but may cause some problems if the park is full of people on the weekends. Our 50A pull through site had good power and water pressure. It might be interesting accessing some of the sites if the park was full but we were the only rig there when we parked for the one night. If we didn't have to be elsewhere we would have stayed longer. - KiwiRVer
Aug 2016 - $12.00
There are lots of sites in this campground. Some are on grass, others are on gravel. The newer sites with 50 amp service are on gravel and they are pull-throughs. Some of the sites on grass also have 50 amp service. You need to check the individual sites to see what type of service each has.
Warning, some of the electrical hook ups on the grass sites are not in good shape with exposed wires, etc. Also, not all sites have picnic tables. - Bobbi1948
Jun 2016 - $12.00
We stayed here two nights. 30 amp and 50 amp hookups with water. Dump station available too. Pool was open and a 2.00 charge. Camping spot was big. When you enter rv section, just stop and walk around to find a 50 amp site. Close to route 40 on and off ramps. Very quiet . - New yorker
Sep 2016 - $27.00
This is a very nice overnight stop; right off Hwy 40 but there is not a lot of highway noise. Very friendly and helpful owner who lives on the site. Cash or check only. Nice long pull thru sites, some shady trees. - alm
Aug 2016 - $26.00
This is a very small operation but it was convenient, clean, safe and quiet. NO FACILITIES although some obviously longer-term customers.
Caution: Drive in off the highway involves a rather steep gravel road which dips down and then back up. Could be a problem getting in/out if there is heavy rain/flooding as some places have had. Otherwise, OK for a night's stay. - Ilene S
Aug 2016 - $27.00
Very nice, clean, pretty little park. We stayed one night on way to OKC. Owners were extemely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stop again. - Sandy&Steve
Nov 2016 - $15.00
A very basic RV Park, good for over night stay. - From the Kites
Aug 2016 - $15.00
Just a gravel lot with full hook ups. The full hook ups were fine. Great for just an overnight stay as long as you are self sustaining with regard to bathroom, shower and ability to cook. It is worth the price with the full hook up available. - Alamo_GQ88310
Aug 2016 - $15.00
When we arrived we immediately knew we wouldn't be staying. Really, the whole town is very run down. The gravel lot that calls itself a self-serve campground was only inhabited by two other RVs that looked permanent. The electric hookups looked too old to even touch for fear of getting shocked, or shorting out our rig. The whole place gave us a bad vibe, so we checked the internet and moved on to the next state to a safe place. - CAcamping
Mar 2016 - $15.00
Very basic overnight stay. Cable was great. Level site. Sewer connection was clogged so make sure it is working before you start to dump. In spite of that, it was a good relaxing stop for the money. Sites had some shade and the site surface was gravel. - happy nomad
Oct 2014 - $0.00
This is the only park in 7 years that we drove right through and did not stop. It was just too scary. We could not see where there was any spot available anyway. We tried the other park in town but it is closed. There is a wonderful county park 7 miles north of Wellington, which I have reviewed. - johnanann
Jun 2013 - $14.00
This RV Park is just a gravel parking lot with hookups. It is far enough off of I-40 so you don't get any highway noise. The manager is friendly & helpful. The sites do not have any amenities. There are many full-timers in the park who work local construction. There are not many large pull thru sites available. It is barely OK for one nite's stay, but the price is right! If I had a new RV, I would not stay. - Michael Kibler
