We visited Strayhorn Landing after the season when it is "manned". We had a beautiful site up high overlooking the lake. Even though it was fall, the weather was great too. The site was plenty long for our 43' motorhome and room to park the Jeep in front.
The water connections were shared between two sites; we had a Y-splitter so used it so we could both have access to water. We camped at Strayhorn Landing COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Shop before you come - it is a drive to "town". We spent the whole 4 days just at the campground - it was beautiful and peaceful.

Overall Rating:

Campground on a peninsula overlooking Lake Tenkiller. Easy access to water. Sites are basic with water and electric. Some sites share water spigots. Fully tree lined asphalt access road and sites. Sites level with hookups correctly laid out for back-in parking. Strayhorn Marina close by as well as swimming beach, boat ramp for campers use, and no real strict parking so can have your boat or jet ski up near the RV. Restrooms with no a/c, but clean. Campground gate closes nightly 10:00 PM for security. Online reservation is the easiest way to secure a site. Reserved and first come sites available. No dog park. We camped at Strayhorn Landing COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in the off season, but it was still relatively crowded. They have a nice split of reservable and non-reservable sites, but in the summer I don't know if I would take the chance of driving in without a reservation. The non-reservable sites probably have better lake views (especially sunrise/sunset views, but some of them share water so be aware of that. The park was well mowed and as clean as can be expected for a lake campground (in our experience, many lake campers and boaters in this area are not great at cleaning up after themselves). We stayed at site 6 which was perfectly level and had a little shade but not much privacy. Tenkiller Lake is less muddy and red than a lot of Oklahoma lakes and there is quite a bit to do in the area. As always in Oklahoma, watch out for ticks! We will stay again, for sure. We camped at Strayhorn Landing COE in a Travel Trailer.
