Where can you camp in a quiet spot next to a lake for free! The sites appear at first look to have power, but the electricity to the sites has been disconnected. Sites are pull through and identified by a table and a trash can. Since there was not a sign for the campground I contacted city hall to make sure the campground was still open. They said there was no charge, but warned me that the gate to the campground was locked at 10pm every night. It was very relaxing. We were the only campers, and even daytime use of the park was limited to a few joggers, and a little league practice. The park is a couple miles South of town on Lake Road. We camped at Nichols Lake City Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo
