1 Park near Hinton, Oklahoma
Apr 2016 - $18.00
Wonderful park in red rock canyon at bottom of VERY steep, short, winding road. Took off tow car and blocked traffic coming up as husband drove down. No room for two large vehicles to meet. When leaving did the same at top. No issues. Glad we had new brakes for the motorhome on the way down though! Main RV campground is at end. Pull through sites have 50 amp, others 30amp. All have water. There are 2 dump stations, one at top and other near main RV spots. Wonderful trails. Spacious sites. Swimming pool in season and lots of picnic sites.
We stayed 2 days while waiting out the 50 MPH wind gusts across Oklahoma. - NanciRV

Beautiful park hidden away. Quite a drive from I-40, but we truly enjoyed the experience. The steep slope on the entrance to the park is quite extreme, but we managed the curves just fine. Would not recommend any big rigs going down this slope. They have hiking, biking, and walking trails. They have a pool house and bathrooms. The bathrooms were decent, but they could have used a little cleaning. Shady spots with being in a canyon. It was a wonderful stay! Well worth the extra drive out there.
We loved this park and will be back. Cell phone service is decent, but there is no WIFI. Little town of Hinton located north of park has a few shops, but they close early. The only other town that we saw was the grocery store, neighborhood, and gas station. Wonderful memorial on far north side of town that is great to stop at. We will definitely visit again for their annual car show in late September. - Jessica1234

We absolutely loved our experience at this campground! Cannot rave about it enough :-) It's an enchanted oasis and it's very unexpected. The birdlife and the sounds are amazing! Highly recommended!!! There were a lot of bugs in the bathroom; that would be expected at a wooded campground. - Daryn Hinton
