20 Parks near Marietta, Oklahoma
May 2013 - $25.00
This park was conveniently located to I35 for a 1-night stopover. The road into the park was very dusty. My site was long and wide, and it had 50 amp service. The WiFi was very slow. The overall appearance of the place is a bit shabby, but the staff was friendly. I would not want to stay here long, but given the reasonable rate, I considered it a fair value. - Phaeton40AH
Sep 2012 - $27.00
Host was very accommodating and friendly. Offered Good Sam discount, price was reasonable. Park is very "rough" with gravel/caliche (dusty), very run down, sharp turns. Was very suitable for a short, overnight stay, but nothing more. - Jeepster01
Oct 2010 - $30.00
Could not connect to Wi-Fi because the server would not allow high speed due to a minimal contract. Therefore we could not connect. The sewer hookups are so high off the ground that the water can't get from your tank. The park is small with tight corners. We could not take the site they first gave us because we could not make the corner and the trees were too low. Personnel were friendly and helped as much as they could. - rose222222
Oct 2014 - $23.00
Excellent paved roads, Concrete pads, beautiful lakeside camping or selecuded spots if you desire. Clean, quiet, very friendly staff. Trees could use a little trimming but otherwise a really nice park and would definitely stay here again! Rate reflects senior discount. - Gloria S.
Mar 2012 - $12.00
Lake Murray has great campgrounds. We love how each space is level and has lots of grass. Some sites have more trees than others. - Bravenutt
Jun 2008 - $15.00
This is one campground of several campgrounds located at Lake Murray State Park, the oldest and largest state park in Oklahoma. This campground as well as others in this park are heavily used and take no reservations. If you don't arrive early on Friday for the weekend during the summer you probably will not get an RV site. Holiday weekends apparently are completely full several days before the holiday. Approximately one-half of the sites have full hookups, with concrete pads and are pull thrus. Some are located along the lake shore. The remainder of the sites are back-in which would be difficult for big rigs to get into. This park was very crowded and I only saw one bathouse/restroom for this campground. It also has a boat launch. The dump station is not easily accessible for big rigs; fortunately there are other dump stations in the park that are somewhat more accessible and available to use. Camp hosts and park personnel were friendly and helpful. This park also has a golf course. We would probably stay here again if passing through. I would have rated this park higher if the campground had been spread over a greater area, the back-in sites were easier to back into and the park accepted reservations. The rate was for a 30 amp service hookup. - Ramtex
Dec 2016 - $32.00
See the last review. All I can add is this is a great RV Park and exceeded our expectations. Costs $5 more if you want by the bathrooms or dog run but that didn't bother us. Bathrooms and showers are excellent, and dog run is large. I hesitated to make reservations here only because there weren't many reviews but don't let that stop you, this is a new RV Park with all new facilities. Highly recommend it, only here overnight on our way to Arizona, but wish we had a reason to stay here longer! Staff is great. I can't give you any info on the wifi as we didn't use it. We did hear a train but that didn't bother us. They have a game room, pool, nice laundry facilities. Nearby is Lake Murray, horseback riding, golf course, and several restaurants. - Jane and Mike
Nov 2016 - $35.00
This a great rv park, top notch. Very friendly on site managers that we visited with several times and they helped in any way. Layout of park is great, asphalt roads with concrete pads with patio area. There are not many trees there yet, as this park just opened a couple of months ago.
Spotless bathrooms, very nicely done tile work. Has game room which is fun, pool, play set for kids with basket ball and other things as well.
Very easy to get to, off I-35 exit #24. Spent 4 nights there and did not want to leave, are planning to return in near future.
There are some trains nearby, but did not bother us.
Make this park a stop when in area or passing thru. - 1rver
Dec 2016 - $20.00
We stayed at Lake Murray State Park, Elephant Rock campground in December 2016. Were in site 27. Our site was a pull through with full hookups. Shady site. Ours was in the non-reservable section of Elephant Rock Campground. Some sites are reservable and some have lake views. Beautiful area with much to see. Grocery and Walmart in Ardmore, OK. We will definitely return. - drfife
Dec 2016 - $30.00
We will definitely return to this campground. We camped in space 30 which is a premium space right next to the lake. Great level concrete pad with plenty of space for our 40ft 5er and tow vehicle. Nearly every space in this campground, including the standard sites have water, electric and sewer, but space 30 has no sewer due to its proximity to the water. I guess the location makes up for the lack of sewer connection and still qualifies as "premium". It is a fantastic campsite. Had good AT&T wireless and data service here along with good TV antenna reception. We got all of the big networks. It's a fairly quick trip back into Ardmore if you need anything. - Sigohigo
Apr 2016 - $26.00
Wanted to get away for a few days from Dallas Texas. Very nice RV Park... - TXRVKing2013
Dec 2015 - $7.00
Resorts of Distinction discount but paid $2 for pull thru, $3 fifty amp, and $1 for WIFI. Roads to site are asphalt and sites level with hard crushed rock. Staff is super friendly and helpful with free coffee in the morning. Some very long pull thru sites (enough for 38 fifth wheek, truck, and motorcycle trailer) and easy on and off access from I-35. - fulltimehusker
Nov 2015 - $2.00
It has good showers and clean restrooms and a very nice laundry. Sites are level with newly paved roads. Staff was friendly.
Railroad noise was frequent and loud. Interstate highway noise was negligible. I would camp here again in a pinch but there are better options nearby.
Rate for ROD is $0 but they add $2 per day for 30 amp. - Morpauwe
Oct 2015 - $18.00
Good power, good water many sand spurs everywhere. RPI members beware of rate. $13.00 base RPI rate includes utilities but then they add $5.00 for 50 amp and $2.00 if you want a pull-through. 30 amp is $3.00. So for a RPI member it is at least $16.00 for a 30 amp site and $18.00 for a 50 amp site. I did complain to RPI. - rjsupersonic
Dec 2016 - $30.00
Easy access from I-35; some road noise, but it didn't bother us with the RV windows closed. Clean park with long, mostly level sites, concrete or gravel with concrete pads. Several roomy sites in front of park for short-term campers; we camped in Site #48. Gravel interior roads were fairly rough. Pretty little lake, and plenty of room to walk my dogs. We would stay here again. - FranM
Nov 2016 - $30.00
Overnight stay. Got site 42. Don't accept site 41,42,43,or 44 for full rate. After I parked and got set-up I noticed several sites nearby that had concrete pad for parking. Sites 41 - 44 are gravel very unlevel front to back. I had to place blocks under front tires so that wheels were not off the ground. - Tom 573
Sep 2016 - $31.00
Gravel sites and roads. Long sites with grass, some with concrete pads. A lake with kayaks and water slides. Interior roads have some ruts, but easily drive-able. The main road to the park is fairly narrow. - ta96silver
Nov 2016 - $40.00
Very nice park convenient to the interstate. We arrived late in the dark and rain, and there were well-lit signs that guided us to the RV park. We turned into the campground too soon, though, and had a little trouble finding the registration office (which is open until 11pm so we were still able to check-in easily). The sites are well spaced and level side-to-side (we had to un-hitch to get level front-to-back). There is a very nice concrete sidewalk around the outside of the park for walking dogs. As others have mentioned, their pull-through sites are actually two sites with connections on each side, so you can pull in from either direction. We will definitely stay here again if we are passing through the area. - barrettjl
Oct 2016 - $34.00
This is a very neat and clean park. It is close to the world's largest casino, which we visited. It is immense, and fun to see. The only issue I had with the park was that we drove a very short distance to get here, and we could not get an early check-in. Kinda drove me crazy because there were plenty of empty spots. When I returned in the afternoon I was informed that there were only back-ins available. I gave the lady a look, then she remembered that I had been there earlier and voila, a pull through materialized. I think they try to leave as many spots open as they can and have back to backs that double for pull through sites and she didn't want to give it up. Even though there were plenty open overnight. Anyhow, the first night is free if you get a players card and they honor it even if you are staying only one night! Not bad. We did that and then stayed one more day anyway... Had fun. Golf course next door - pretty pricey but pretty. - Tiny Beast
Oct 2016 - $20.00
We have been here several times in the past 5 or 6 years and, once again, were not as impressed as many other reviewers. Depending on how you count the sites (pull through sites can be used as 2 back-to-back sites) the sites are about 50/50 between pull through and back in. Others have described the extremely long, cement sites that, when the park isn't full, can be entered from either end and used as one site even though they were designed as back-to-back sites. Our site was NOT level. There is NO cable or antenna TV but most sites are satellite friendly. The Wi-Fi was pathetic. Right after checking in, I connected on about 3 P.M. By the time I was finished setting up, the connection was lost never to be connected the rest of the day. The next morning, I got on about 8:30 AM. and checked the day's weather. Once I did that the connection was again lost. This level of internet service for a big park at a big casino is NOT acceptable. There are two separate bathhouse/laundry buildings. The laundries have 5 washers and 8 dryers each. Each machine is only a buck, but it took $2 to dry a load. Each bathroom has only 2 sinks, stalls, urinals, and showers. That is not enough for a park this size even if all the sites were FHU. In fact, there are 7 tent sites in the north eastern corner of the park. The staff I dealt with seemed a bit clueless concerning some things about the park. There is a pool, a playground, and an in/outdoor pavilion. This park could be a 9 but the lack of cable, pathetic internet, and non-level sites lowers my ranking. Also, there was NO sign of any recycling. - Jerry S
Feb 2011 - $29.00
Lake Murray ATV Park is part of the State Park system and does not take reservations - first come first serve. This campground you can ride your ATV from the campground to the 1000+ acres of riding and trails. Located on the lake, you can ride down to the lake and go for a swim when it gets hot. The sites have fire rings, picnic tables, cooking grilles, and paved pads. There is no riding at night which makes it quiet after dark. They just built a new playground for kids that is awesome. The bathrooms are clean and the showers require quarters. We have been coming here for years and have met a lot of nice folks. - Kodiakc5500
Jul 2013 - $20.00
Military camp so there are a lot of things to do if you like water sports . Sits on Lake Texhoma and is not the easiest to get to. Is not on base but 125 miles north. Most sites are side by side with some pull throughs. Some of the sites are very close together overall; however, it is a good place and will go back again - Chuckl
Oct 2013 - $25.00
It is not Big Rig friendly unless you want to unhitch your toad and scrape your coach. I spent the day on a ladder waxing out the tree limb scrunches from a park where the lady said..."oh no problem you can get in and out of here , there is plenty of room. Learned never to trust those words. The road and curve were way too narrow which caused us to have to hug the side with the low hanging limbs. All I could do was hold my breath as the limbs scraped the whole side...but luckily it was more dirt than actual scratch. We got around and pulled right out the exit on the other side. - RoadAngel
Apr 2010 - $25.00
Campground is relatively new. The rest room's and shower's were very clean. The check in crew were very friendly and helpful. Work still needs to be done on interior roads and at the campsite right out from the office. Drop off to get to the exit road was such your back end might scrape. I backed out. Traffic noise is very noticeable. - billy s
Jan 2010 - $32.00
A very nice campground. The store was well-equipped and staffed by very nice people. Even with the tornado warnings, we would stay here again. - kraftykurl
