We stayed overnight on our way out west. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is situated close to a busy road and I-40. The noise level was loud. If you're a light sleeper this is not the place for you. Easy on and off freeway if you cut thru the truck stop parking across the street. We camped at Council Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We just stayed a week at this campground and it was great. The FREE wifi was awesome which is very important to us. The site was basic but we were there to see the city, not enjoy amenities of a park. The washrooms and showers were clean and great hot water! I also did laundry here and the machines and room were great. We arrived late without a reservation and they were very accommodating. Staff were friendly and helpful. We camped at Council Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

When you leave the park, turn left instead of right and it will take you around the block so that you come out at the lights to make an easy entrance back on the highway.

Older park, narrow gravel sites with concrete patios. Power, water, and sewer were fine. Water was below grade and the access was pretty muddy. Bathrooms were clean and adequate, including the showers. Easy access to and from the Interstate and into the city. We camped at Council Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Our first stay in an RV park...EVER. Cable and wifi superb. I work remotely and require a good internet connection. I was prepared to use my cellular hotspot, but had zero issue with the park's FREE WiFi. Despite being located right of I-40, the park was quiet and nicely located within minutes of just about anything you want. This is a "working man's" park and many/most of the residents are pipeline or oilfield employees. Everyone was friendly. We stayed in a 40' Fifth Wheel. My site was just long enough for my RV, but not long enough to also accommodate my tow vehicle. I am 62' overall, but parking sideways in front of the RV near the road was not an issue. We camped at Council Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stopped here for a night passing through to our next destination. This is not a locationIi would go to for a week's stay or a family vacation but it was ok for overnight. It is located in a commercial area by a large truck stop however it was still a very quiet spot. Trees needed trimmed and not scenic at all. The Wifi and TV had terrific reception. We camped at Council Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Although they advertise wifi & cable it is nearly nonexistent. Wifi kicks you off continually & the 21 cable channels we started out with dwindled to 17 2 months ago & lately have dwindled to 6. When I contacted the office the gentleman had no answers. They can't seem to keep up with mowing so the sandburrs are awful. The hosts & workers are friendly & at $500 per month including electric it is a good deal but amenities & nice view are limited.

They seriously need to upgrade wifi & cable or don't advertise having it. Overnight stay maybe but probably would not stay long here again. We camped at Council Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a Braums & several other eating places nearby as well as an outlet mall, Walmart & Home Depot. However if you are staying a month or more the view is bleak & there is no dog run or swimming pool. Just very basic.

Hassled us about where the trailer was parked. Hassled us about the number of people in our camper. Camp sites are tiny, grass is non existent. Grounds are dirty. Found another better place and the wouldn't refund our money because we were ten minutes past the 2 hr refund limit. Don't waste your time here. Overpriced. Park in the middle of an industrial area. Construction on Council Rd made it noisy and hard to get to with the snarled traffic.
We picked this one based on a review that said you could not hear the freeway noise. It was very prevalent in our site, which was in the back of the park.
Dont plan on staying here if you want to stay hooked up unless you are a relatively small RV and don't need or want to go anywhere. We camped at Council Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We went to Bricktown, which was cute: a smaller version of the San Antonio River Walk. It was about a 10 minute drive from the park.

There was also a nice looking bike and walking path on the outside perimeter of the park. Unfortunately it was fenced with the gate locked. No information was available in how to access it.

We only stay at this park because it's convenient to visit relatives that live near by. The park is run down and in need of some pepping up. My biggest complaint is that the water hookup is underground and very inconvenient to connect the hose.

Lot spacing is nearby with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface is gravel. We camped at Council Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here two nights on our way West on I-40. The park is easily accessible from the highway and far enough away that there is minimal road noise. The interior roads are all gravel and the sites are also gravel. Our site was level. The interior roads are potholed and need some repair. The restrooms and showers are clean, but need some maintenance. The showers are average size and the changing area is very small. The sites have nice space between them, but the water hookup is below grade in an irrigation box and not easily accessible. We have our own Wi-Fi hot spot, so didn't use the parks. There is Wi-Fi available. The TV channel selection is with antenna, unless you have satellite. You get the regular network channels and PBS. We used the laundry, but it is closed at 6 PM when the office closes, so we had limited time in the late afternoon. I'll have to note that this is the only park we've stayed in that has a storm shelter, and showed us where it was. Then again, this is Oklahoma City and right in the middle of tornado alley! This is the second time we've stayed here, but might consider another park on our next trip. We camped at Council Road RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Oklahoma City Bombing Site & Memorial are worth an extra days stay to go see. The Bricktown district is also worth touring.

We've been here for about 6 months now. The park owners have been friendly, helpful, and accommodating to any of our needs. It has lots of grass and trees to walk our pets in though goat heads are a slight issue. They've sprayed for weeds to help eliminate them. They keep the grass mowed and gravel on the driveway. It's right off I-40 and despite the traffic it's really quiet here. We've enjoyed our stay here so far without any issues. We camped at Council Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is small and old. Park offers cable and Wi-Fi at a cheap monthly rate. However, 50 amp box continuously flips off. The owner insults you and often has a bad attitude, calling you names and obviously not grateful for the RVers who are paying his bills. The female manager also struggles with the same unprofessional attitude at times. There is many reasons why this park is cheaper on a monthly basis than other parks in the area. We stayed just one night (that was enough). The park reviews (recent, July 2015) stated there were few long term residents, but that is not the case. Also, the water is in an underground water faucet with lots of spiders. The other residents were working on their vehicles and were loud into the night. For the dogs, careful of the goat head stickers in the grass, very bad. Yes, the spaces were good sized, but not a good value. We arrived after hours, the office was very nice about leaving an envelope taped to the door so we could self register. Overall-not the best park but not the worst we've stayed at.
