We camped here two nights. Yes, the park is older and some of the concrete pads are cracked. However, the park was very clean and well maintained. If we could, we would definitely return. We left the morning of May 5. On the evening of May 6, the Roadrunner RV Park took a direct hit of a tornado. You have probably seen pictures on the news.
Note From RVPR admin: Park owners report that they are currently repairing damage caused by recent storms and anticipate being re-opened this season. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice folks, nice park. Most, but not all, pads have new concrete. Hookups good. Note this is essentially a parking lot, but quiet, easy access from interstate and to attractions in OKC. Long term residents around the perimeter; pull-throughs in the middle good for big rigs towing. That said, please call first; campground hit by tornado on 5/6/15 and all rigs there damaged or destroyed; do not know current operating status. Would definitely stay there again. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $31.00
The staff and fellow campers were very friendly. The restrooms were old but well-maintained. Campground is nothing fancy, but perfectly suitable. Great location for getting around OKC and OU. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $32.00
Older park just off I-35 South of I-40. Easy access to highway. Our site was very low in the front. I had to use blocks under front stabilizers and ended up with front tires about 12" off the ground. Very tight turns and sites.
Registration clerk could not tell me about severe weather conditions in the area.
I told office about our unlevel site. He commented that it was an old RV park and site slabs, which are cracked, cannot be leveled. He did tell us where the tornado shelter was on property. We will not stay here again. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
Pilot/Flying J are close by as are restaurants and Walmart.
Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $28.00
Convenient, clean, well-managed, good wifi.
We stayed there 4 days (visiting family for Thanksgiving) and will definitely stay there the next time we are in the area or even "just passing thru" for the night. Park is very convenient to I-35 but located down a slope/behind other buildings that muffle the highway noise. I did hear the trains that passed thru early in the morning, but I hear those anytime I'm in the area - even inside a house. WiFi was excellent! We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $31.00
This is a nice park for an overnighter. You get paved roads and cement parking pads. There is green grass between the sites. You can hear the highway but it was just a constant dull background noise that didn't bother us. Our concrete slab and the one next to it are all broken up and need to be replaced. I would return if we are in the area again. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $31.00
This park made a nice, convenient one-night stopover as I was traveling up I-35. Park grounds are tidy and my site was easy to get in and out of pulling a toad. Site had a bit of a downhill run to it, but did not create a leveling issue. Staff was very friendly. Restroom looked a bit tired and had only one toilet in the men's area. Would definitely consider this park again. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.
Nice clean park, really good WiFi, cable TV, close to interstate, but not noisy. We stayed here on our way to Nevada and on the way back. Easy access to get in and out. We enjoyed staying here. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Our rate reflects a GS discount. This park is a gem! Paved roads within the park, cement slabs on all sites, and beautifully maintained grass at each site and through out the park. A great and organized staff to check you in. Laundry facilities are great. $1 to wash and $1 to dry. Cable and WiFi included. Lots of restaurants and shopping in the area. A great stay for Oklahoma City. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $28.00
Next to freeway, so noise. Roads are paved with cement sites. Some pads are very broken or uneven. Grass between sites. Power and cell good. Water pressure low, screen on water hose was totally covered with sand after only 4 days. Would probably stay here again. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $28.00
Clean, ok for an overnight. Road noise, trains too, but we slept in spite of it. Very tight sites, no picnic table. We probably would not stay here again. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $33.00
We still like this campground for an overnight pull thru stop even though some of the badly broken site slabs need to be replaced and trees located on some sites need to be trimmed back to allow adequate space for slide outs. We did not disconnect our car but had an extension hose to reach the sewer dump. Several washers and dryers were available for us to get our laundry finished in the shortest amount of time possible. We will stay here again and hope the owners will be more sensitive to tree growth over the slab area. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.
This is a nice park very clean and well maintained. The price reflects monthly rate.It is located right off of I-35 with easy access. We were there when the devastating tornado hit Moore. I was irritated to say the least that we were not made aware that the park had a storm cellar until the sirens were going off. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: April, 2013 - $29.00
This is a clean, quiet, and small park. It is fine for a night or two. The laundry is old, smells musty, and needs cleaning. The owner and staff are very nice. There is some highway noise, but it is not noticeable. There is good access from Hwy 35 and 40. It definitely needs upgrading and the sites that are have broken concrete, needs to be fixed. Sites are long and wide enough to be comfortable. There is grass between sites, which is nice. I don't have strong feelings as to nice or not nice. It's just another RV Park for passing a night. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: January, 2013 - $28.00
I can tell this is an older park (concrete slabs are breaking up) but the amenities I sought are all here: close to downtown Oklahoma City, easy in and out, clean restrooms & showers, good Wi-Fi and cable service. The reception was excellent. Even though the highway and train tracks were very close, we slept soundly. The more permanent RVs were around the perimeter which left the pull throughs for me...nice. Our rate was with a small Good Sam discount. We camped at Roadrunner RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
