Honeymooned here during Spring Break. Park was full, but quiet. Love it. No water hookup at this time of year. Weather was cool and windy. We camped at Brush Creek Park COE in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Nice park, we stayed in the outer circle with no sewer. The park was quite and well kept. Only problem we noticed was the excessive traffic to and from the observation area, above the park. Most of the traffic was older cars with young drivers who were alone, most only stayed a few minutes, not sure what they were observing at midnight. We camped at Brush Creek Park COE in a Motorhome.

For my first ever travel trailer camping experience, I couldn't have found a more beautiful park to stay. The park volunteer was very friendly and offered help if I encountered any problems. It was a wonderful and now I am an rv addict. Thanks so much. We camped at Brush Creek Park COE in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Dollar General was just beyond overpass on 412 at Prue Road. Walmart is about 3 miles east on 412. The park is close enough to Sand Springs for easy access, but far enough away to feel secluded.

Overall Rating:

This is a small Corps of Engineers park just below the Keystone Lake Dam. There are two loops -- the outer one is water and electric and the inner one has full hookups. We had full hookups over the July 4 weekend and our rate reflects the Golden Age discount. Unlike most COE campgrounds the gate is not locked at night. The bathrooms are new and clean and can be locked, but they are not air conditioned and the windows are shut so there is no air circulation. Most of the people camping here had boats for fishing and water recreation. Our campsite had not been cleaned up and there were cigarette butts everywhere, but the grass was mowed regularly. We would camp here again. We camped at Brush Creek Park COE in a Travel Trailer.

Nice quiet place, lovely view of the river, long level sites. Our cell phone doesn't work here and a satellite dish is a must if you want to watch TV. We stay here every spring and fall while traveling south, and have never had any problems. No stores close by, but only a few blocks from a freeway with easy access. We camped at Brush Creek Park COE in a Motorhome.

Over all we had a good stay here. You will need a water pressure reducer. We went through 3 water pressure reducers before we found what we needed. The Park Host has (poorly behaved) grandkids. Ticks are kind of bad, so be sure to check yourself. I give it a 10 rating if the grand kids are not visiting. But if they are here, I give it a 7 or below. We camped at Brush Creek Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: September, 2009 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

This park is located just below the dam along the Arkansas River. All sites are level and most are long enough to accommodate big rigs. Sites are back-in but angled for easy back-in. Sites are not too close together. Although the signs said 14 day maximum stay, most of the campers appeared to be long-term. There were 100 lb. and 250 lb. propane tanks at two of the sites and clutter and junk at other sites that were typical of long-term campers. There is construction going on at the dam and just across the dam on highway 151 and I suspect that some or most of the campers are construction workers. We camped at Brush Creek Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Site 20 best view next to dam of Keystone Lake. Bathrooms need TLC - no entry doors, bugs galore. Some overhanging branches, need care in parking and slide use. Price listed is before Senior Pass 50% discount. Quiet place. We camped at Brush Creek Park COE in a Motorhome.
