As someone said, it is 3 to 4 miles south of I-40. But very easy to get to and find. The hard part is finding where the campgrounds are. They are in two different places. If you follow the signs, the first ones you come to are in the front paved parking lot. There are full hookups along a raised strip, where you back up to them. If you continued to follow the signs, they take you past the main building (where the main office is; and where you pay for your site) to the back part of the fairgrounds. Here you will find most of the camp sites. Utilities are along side of each site and easy to utilize. We picked site #313 which backed up to the rodeo arena and was level. There are brick bath houses in each area of the campground. We were here only one night and would definitely stay again when passing through the area. We camped at Heart Of Oklahoma Expo Center in a Motorhome.

We often use Fairgrounds for overnight stops as they provide an inexpensive safe place. This Fairgrounds was no different. It is located about five miles off of I-40 with easy access. Sites were somewhat uneven but we were able to find a mostly level site which was long enough for our 39 ft fifth wheel and tow vehicle which did not require us to unhook. There were multiple restroom facilities on the different loops of the campground. There are small patches of grass between each site so that spacing would be close if the park was full. At this time of year there were probably 10 units in a 400 space Park. There was no price structure posted near the lock box to deposit your nightly rate so we had to guess. The envelope provided was a plain white envelope so we just entered our basic information on the outside. We did not see any employee during our overnight stay. The utility tower was easy to access. The water coming out of the pump was very discolored and needed to be run before attaching our filter. We had 30-plus OTA television stations and Verizon and Sprint worked well. There were big rig friendly fuel stations on the way back to the interstate. We did not see any grocery stores or restaurants. We would stay here again for a quick overnight. We camped at Heart Of Oklahoma Expo Center in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here one night to be near a dog trial in the area. The park is about 4 miles south of 1-40. It is a HUGE RV park in back of the Expo center. It was not manned at 6 pm on Saturday when we arrived, but they have a drop box in which to put your check. I knew that the sites were $25 from their website, but oddly I didn't see any signs stating the price. They have some sites in a concrete parking lot as you go in and then more sites on a gravel road behind the grandstand (there are signs directing you to them.) Those sites are gravel, most of them have full hook ups, and some are pull through. The sites are very close together (think RV park spacing) We stayed in site 366, which was level. There were less than 8 trailers there, and I am sure some of them were residents, but the park was surprisingly clean and perfectly quiet. They have bathrooms with showers and laundry scattered throughout the park as well. While it isn't a destination campground by any means, I was pleasantly surprised by the park and would certainly recommend it as a stop over or as a place to stay if for some reason you are in the area. We camped at Heart Of Oklahoma Expo Center in a Travel Trailer.

This is an RV Park. Not an RV resort and not much like a campground. It is clean and a good value. Most of the slips are pull through. They are gravel and pretty level. We were here as a part of a type specific convention and it was great for that as it has terrific facilities for meets and meals and such. We camped at Heart Of Oklahoma Expo Center in a Motorhome.

This is a hidden gem for the traveler. Expo center and Rodeo Host arena with level campsites, good Wifi, air tv, good bath houses. We arrived after 5pm and it is an apparent "Honor System". Drop box with no envelopes or instruction exception to pay $25. So, we used one if our envelopes and chose one of the available 400 empty sites. There are a couple dozen seasonals here, but a quiet campground. Will stay here again. We camped at Heart Of Oklahoma Expo Center in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Gotta believe that this is an RV park. Since it is an Expo Center, the RV part is not apparent from the street and is not the mainstream business in the off season.

We stayed here 10 nights during our RV club's convention. Our site was fairly level with good utilities. No cable but on-air TV was adequate. Space between sites was grass and the road running through the park was hard pack dirt/gravel which made it dusty. Did not use park WiFi so cannot comment. It was our observation that some areas of the park were more level than others. This is a great spot for a convention as the Expo hall is fairly modern and the staff very helpful. Nearby grocery shopping, dining and there are washers and dryers at every comfort station
throughout the park. We would stay here again, convention or not. We camped at Heart Of Oklahoma Expo Center in a Motorhome.

Eat a hamburger meal at Hamburger King or a great BBQ meal at Van's Pig stand in town. Enjoyed a delicious ice cream sundae at Braum's Ice Cream and Dairy Store (several locations in town)

We were there for a rally. We had about 100 50 amp coaches and that will put a drain on any system but they handled it fine. The facility was great. The wifi did not really work though. The Abby and museum down the road was great too. The only thing is you needed an extension to reach the sewer and it was up hill a bit. I would stay here again. Nightly rate reflects our rally rate plus a few nights. Electric is only 30a but it worked quite well for running dual ac on our Winnebago. The campground can get muddy in rainy weather, but otherwise is quite decent. A paved bicycle/walking trail runs from the Expo Center around the airport ...well used and quite handy. Access can be confusing, but once you know the route it is easily accessible from the highway and a great place to spend some peaceful nights! We stayed here for the Fleetwood Motorhome Rally, June 25 through 29. We arrived two days before the rally started, so the price I posted is what I paid for those two days. The Rally information offered 50 amp electrical service. I’m glad we arrived early, what was advertised as 50 amp was really either two 30 amp receptacles or a 30 amp and a 20 amp receptacle. Neither was adequate for power during the daytime, the temperatures were consistently over 100 ° with high humidity. Double plugging doesn’t mean a full 50 amps available in the coach. There were a limited number of these sites available. All the sections have gravel roads and pads with a nice distance between sites. The section we stayed in was pull though sites that also had sewer and water. The rally staff told me the Expo center has plans to upgrade to 50 amp service. We probably will not stay here again there are nicer parks closer to Oklahoma City. We camped at Heart Of Oklahoma Expo Center in a Motorhome.

Campground is nice - well spaced and quiet. Had to stop 2 times for directions (was within a mile). Used address given in GPS - did not work. Found Expo Center easily enough, but no signs for campgrounds or office. No one was in office either that afternoon or next morning. Could find no way to pay anything! Rained during our stay and the full hook up area turned into a pond and mud hole. If it is raining stay up front and live with electric only. OK for an over night stay. We camped at Heart Of Oklahoma Expo Center in a Motorhome.

This is an update on my last post from Oct 2008. There is a tree at the end of the loop to be watched out for. I went around that loop and when I got to my end destination I had hit something on the roof and did some damage. A small hole in the rubber roof and took out two skylight covers. 284 full-hookup sites, 456 water & electric. We were with a group that was meeting on the grounds. As stated by others, sites are mostly level. Most are back-ins though there are several pull-throughs also. Roads are dirt/gravel, sites are mostly grass. We spent a pleasant week here, and enjoyed riding the asphalt walking/bicycling trail that passes through the grounds. It make a loop of approximately 6 - 7 miles around part of the airport next door to the Expo grounds. We camped at Heart Of Oklahoma Expo Center in a Motorhome.
