Nice little campground. Perfect stop for an overnight. Far enough away from the highway that we really didn't hear it. Full hookups for only $24! Sewer is a bit far from electric post. Some shaded spots which we were able to get. Easy off/on. Restaurant open Tuesday-Friday. Host was closing up for the night but we managed to catch him. Very pleasant guy! Was pretty cool seeing the old gas station and imagining that this was the stop for truckers and travelers in its day. Will stay here again when passing through! Don't let the 'abandoned' look fool you! We enjoyed our stay. It's a no frills campground but worth the stay. We didn't use the bathrooms so can't comment on them. No gas at this exit. We camped at Double D RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We LOVE this park!!!! Rating it for what it is - no frills, no crowds, no families, NO KIDS!!!!! You are not paying for extras that you don't need. PA discount makes this so affordable we couldn't pass it up. Big, level sites, good water, we had over-voltage issues the first day but the wind was gusting over 50mph so we can cut them some slack. When the winds died down, no electric issues (50 amp). Restrooms with showers are a little old but there. Self check-in/check-out, just put the envelope with your payment in the box. I wish there was a park like this in every city we visit and we would DEFINITELY stay here again and again. LOVE IT!!! We camped at Double D RV Park in a Motorhome.

Red boxes are 30 amp, yellow boxes are 50 amp. If yo make a reservation, they will write your name on a piece of paper and tape it to the electric box at your site. Otherwise, drive in and pick a site.

Overall Rating:

Very convenient stop when traveling I40 as it is located less than a 1/4 mile off the interstate at exit 1 at the Texas/Oklahoma border. Gravel, level pullthrus with grass between sites and some beautiful trees. Sites are long enough that there is no need to unhook. Red power boxes indicate 50 amp service which is $28 a night or $14 with the Passport America discount. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Double D RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a good place to stop when passing through Oklahoma. The people who run this RV park are very friendly. The campground is clean and the hookups work well. We have stayed here before and came back because it is a good, basic RV park. Plus, the Passport America Rate can't be beat. Verizon MiFi, Dish TV and AT& T cell phones all worked well here. We camped at Double D RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very basic older self service park close to I-40. They reserved us a 50 amp site and marked it with our name on a piece of paper. Very nice people to deal with over the phone but no one was available when we got there or left. Leave the money in an envelope in a drop box. 50 amp power was good as it was 107 degrees on the thermometer when we arrived and the AC's never shut off over-nite. We would stay here again when passing thru. Water and power good. Sewer hookup easy but not threaded. They did have a weight there to hold the hose down with. We camped at Double D RV Park in a Motorhome.

As others have indicated, this is a basic, no-frills park. There is grass between the gravel pull-through sites. Some trees, which give great relief to the burning summer sun, even though we gave up satellite tv. When we pulled in at 4:30 the temperature was 107, so we opted for trees, happily. No restrooms, showers or other amenities, but very easy access off I-40, a little road noise, but our a/c took care of that. I walked the dog around the mostly vacant town early in the morning, very quiet and enjoyable. We would not hesitate to stop there again. We camped at Double D RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great spot for overnight. Heading East it's the 1st Exit in OK, not the 1st exit that's still in TX. All pull thrus with 30 or 50 amp. Water and sewer if enough hose. No cable or wifi that we could get. Nice owners and on site restaurant open until 7pm. Easy in/out and good value if your expectations are not too high. Pull in, find a site and go to restaurant to register. PA discount. We will stay here again if in the area. We camped at Double D RV Park in a Motorhome.

Great place for a stop over on the way to/from Texas. Our rate was for Passport America, which is good for 2 nights. There are sites with 30 amp service and sites with 50 amp service. Our site had 30 amp, so it was cheaper. Sites are good sized and most have trees. Picnic tables are lacking in this park, but there are a few. Most sites had shade trees. Dish TV worked well here as did AT&T cell phone and Verizon MiFi. We will stay here again when passing through the area. We camped at Double D RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place to overnight. Be sure to ask for a site that allows satellite reception as most sites have trees on one side and/or the other.

Here are the instructions for getting in the park. Last year, the convenience store was open and that was the office for the park. This year, the store is closed for business and now the 'office' is in the restaurant adjacent the park entrance. If you call for reservations, which is advisable for this one reason, they will put your name on the site pedestal. Park, hook-up and go to the restaurant to pay or sometimes they will meet you at the site. If you are 40' or longer, I recommend you park in the second row of pull-throughs.

Careful pulling in or out of the lot as there is no driveway. You have to pick your way back onto the street off the property, especially after a hard rain or storms. We camped at Double D RV Park in a Motorhome.
