3 Parks near Blind River, Ontario
Apr 2012 - $30.00
This is small campground associated with a motel that opened before the season had started for us. The owner went out of his way to provide water for us as it was too early to turn the water on for each individual site due to freeze up potential. It was a beautiful level site. Luxuriant grassy setting. - normsoo
Aug 2016 - $38.00
Sites were not very even and were gravel with a lot of grass growing through. When we leveled our 39 foot motorhome the front end was so low that the steps would not open fully. Since we were only staying 1 night we did not bother trying to add pads and re-leveling. When we were ready to leave in the morning it looked like it would be difficult to get out of our pull-through site as the trailer next door had stayed hooked to its tow vehicle and it looked like it would be tight squeeze to get past the vehicle and the post marking the site across the very narrow road. Luckily the trailer across from us pulled out and we were able to cut through their site. We were able to get satellite TV and our Verizon was strong. Campground was OK for spending the night while passing through. - Ramblin On
Aug 2016 - $43.00
Very nice park on hwy 17. Lots of seasonal campers but the sites were all well maintained and the park was quiet. Nice playground and pool and a good dog walk area. The lady in the office was very friendly and they have a well equipped store for supplies. Road noise was not an issue. There is a train that goes past twice a day. We would stay here again. - 69636
Jul 2016 - $38.00
Very nice campground right on Highway 17. Nice friendly easy checkin. Security gates at entrance. Gravel roads and grass/gravel pads with lots of grass between pads. Easy access with large, long, spacious pull thrus. There are two sections to the park - the back section is seasonal and the front section is short term. The sections are separated by the pool and large playground. The wi-fi was fast but a little difficult to sign in at startup and did cut out a couple of times.
NEGATIVES: Lots of highway noise that did lighten up after dark. We had to sleep with windows closed and a small fan on for white noise. The water pressure was quite low.
This was a great overnight stay and we would definitely stay again. - lyzzards
Aug 2016 - $30.00
Small park with many seasonals. But very nice. On the lake and very pretty. Trees, landscaping, and seasonal homes were pretty new, well maintained and neat. Very quiet. Space was full hookup, pull thru, and quite spacious. Very convenient off the highway, but far enough that there was no highway noise. I would definitely stay here again. - DYK 640
Jun 2014 - $36.00
This campground turned out to be a pleasant surprise as it wasn't originally our first choice to stay at in the area. Situated at the end of the road well away from the main highway the only noise was from the wind. Due to tight turns it is not suitable for big rigs. Our site was a gravel pull-through with a table and fire ring. I had to do major levelling due to a downslope in the front end of the pad. Water and electric hookups well located, but sewer at our site (#35)was 12 inches above grade making it very difficult to drain our tanks. No cable TV, but found two channels from USA on the antenna. Wi-Fi was a hotspot located in the office (too far away to use at the campground). Onsite laundry with 1 washer and 1 dryer ($2 each) and a restaurant that opens in summer Friday and Saturday by reservations only. Canoes for rent was well. Down the same road is the Round Barn with antiques and gifts. We would stay here again if ever in the area. - Onemoretrail
