The price indicated is in Canadian $ with tax and the KOA member discount for a large, fairly level gravel site equipped with 50amp electricity, water, cable TV and sewer that all worked well. Wi-Fi is available at each site but is painfully slow and often to the point of being unable to open a website or email. The premium site also had a brick patio, very solid table and chairs (made of recycled plastics) and a barbecue with propane. Both prior to and during our twelve-night stay the campground was subjected to several heavy downpours of rain. This causes the roads to flood in several places and the grass verges to become very soft which in turn, makes them vulnerable to getting chewed up by vehicles and trailers. This is a very popular CG for families and the pool always looked to be very busy - and for that reason we didn't use it ourselves. The bathrooms are cleaned daily but unfortunately some of the people staying at the CG use that as an excuse for not treating them, as they would like to find them. Not the fault of KOA but rather the people who abuse them. It would be nice to see the KOA staff check on bathroom supplies at the end of the day though. Several times, after the office had closed and the staff left, I found there to be no hand towels or toilet paper. There is some road noise from the nearby Hwy 400 but due to the proximity and easy access to and from the Hwy, this is only to be expected. Although he sites are long and pretty wide, there is only one sewer drop which meant that for my 40' fifth wheel RV, we had to use an extension hose in addition to the regular hose. The staff is courteous and professional but to my surprise there was no escort to the site. On a couple of occasions, just before the arrival of a storm, staff came around to warn of potential high winds. There is a gated entry that requires an access code, provided when you check in. Washers and dryers are both $2 (Cdn) per load. We camped at Toronto-North KOA/Cookstown in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Tangers Outlet Mall less than 5 minutes away and the KOA provide a shuttle to this. Costco and a large Wal-Mart on the southern tip of Barrie. Cheapest diesel is available in Barrie. Downtown Toronto about an hours drive (outside of the rush hour) south. Cottage country about 90 minutes NW. Innisfil Creek GC next door to KOA.

Opted for a premium site as we wanted a patio - site was gravel and level but very water logged due to recent rains. Our site was one of the few without a tree and this meant we had no shade at all during the afternoons due to the angle of the pad. Premium site offered a patio which was very narrow and not helped by the fact that next doors sewer pipe is very close to the patio. We camped on a busy weekend and didn't get to access the pool due to the number of children also camping - seemed very popular and had lots of chairs to relax on. Wifi was available but extremely poor - not even enough bandwidth to check emails. Cable TV offers a few channels should you wish to use it. Bathrooms in park are really limited for the number of sites; 1 set at the office and one near tenting sites. Staff cleaned them daily but they were quickly left in a mess by campers - could do with extra rounds by staff to ensure toilet paper and paper towels are available all day in them. I didn't use the showers - they are small cubicles and very busy. Guests cost $5 per visit and must be checked in at the office. We camped at Toronto-North KOA/Cookstown in a Fifth Wheel.

Close to the Tanger outlets and the camp run a free shuttle to them if you ask. Groceries can be purchased in Cookstown but larger stores at Barrie include Costco and Walmart.

Nice KOA park. Great for big rigs. WiFi is very slow. We reserved a 50 amp full service sight and they put us on a 30 amp site. Even thou it was wired with a 50 amp plug and breaker, it didn't work. When we called the office they said "oh, that's a 30 amp site". For one night we put up with it. We camped at Toronto-North KOA/Cookstown in a Motorhome.

Great level large sites. Nice maple trees for shade or sunny lots. Very clean and well maintained. The office staff were extremely helpful. Awesome campground. The WiFi was not great but apparently they were working on it. We camped at Toronto-North KOA/Cookstown in a Fifth Wheel.

Well located just off the #400 motorway North of Toronto. Easy checking in and find it a typical KOA with lots of activities for kids. Roads are gravel and in our section are plenty wide for big rig access. The site is a level gravel pull through about 70' in length. Services are well located and good quality. They have trees between sites, but no problem getting access to the satellites. Site separation is good, with well maintained grass lawns between sites. They have a reasonably sized and fenced dog area, but they also have huge grass areas where you can actually run the dogs. We will return if back in this area. We camped at Toronto-North KOA/Cookstown in a Fifth Wheel.

Great Park ...clean, well attended by staff and super friendly. Large lots, open with some sites along the side with shade but mostly open. We camped at Toronto-North KOA/Cookstown in a Fifth Wheel.

Not a great KOA. Poor shade on sites, poorly trained reception staff, very close to a busy highway. We camped at Toronto-North KOA/Cookstown in a Motorhome.

The staff was friendly and helpful placing us in a large back in site. The site was huge, as on the one side the neighbor was near but not close, while on the other the neighbors were far away. We could have put up 5 or 6 10x10 canopies but since we just have the one, that is what we put up. The hook ups were close and easy to set up. There was a fire ban so we were not able to have a fire. I will note there are two buildings with bathrooms, the main lodge had more than enough showers and stalls but the other building has one mens and one womens along with one handicap. There were only two showers and only one had a lock. This is a problem, for when the main lodge was being cleaned you were limited on choices. The town of nearby Cookstown has everything you need. We would stay here again. We camped at Toronto-North KOA/Cookstown in a Travel Trailer.

Not enough trees -- sites angled so they get afternoon (hottest sun), dog park not yet completed (just grass and a hut), no water there for dogs, no shade for either dogs or humans, entrance is way to narrow for the new wider RVs, WiFi is useless -- its using 802.11 b - a 15 year old tech - and kicks you off as soon as someone new logs on... that's IF you can log on, noisy by a major hwy (400)... , only 2 pedestrian garbage cans in the park - both by the dog park - so if you're walking the dog you'll likely have to carry the effluent bag all the way back to your RV. We camped at Toronto-North KOA/Cookstown in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a family owned/run park, the service is outstanding. The park is extremely well kept and the people are friendly and accommodating. We had a premium site (I don't know if they call it that, but it was nice) with full hook ups and cable. They have free Wi-Fi that works well. For people that are interested, there is an outlet mall about 1/4 of a mile from the park. We have stayed here before and will return anytime we are in the area. We camped at Toronto-North KOA/Cookstown in a Motorhome.

It is close to highway 400 and easy to find. It is extremely well maintained, by friendly staff. Our pull - through lot was plenty big and there was lots of space around us. My son and I played catch in front of our rig. We didn't take advantage of the activities available, but while we were there they had a horseshoe tournament and a movie night for kids. They also have mini-golf. A bit pricy - but KOA's tend to be. Some road noise can be heard from the highway but it did not keep us awake. We camped 2 nights - went skydiving and shopping nearby. We would stay there again. We camped at Toronto-North KOA/Cookstown in a Fifth Wheel.

Great campground..could use a few more trees. No shade sites if that's what you wanted. Easy access from the 400 highway. Great owners. Would certainly be back next year for a longer stay. We camped at Toronto-North KOA/Cookstown in a Motorhome.
