This site has many seasonal sites. The sites are very large and well treed so the odd derelict trailers won't bother you. The sites only have power and water and the locations seem to be very near the front of most sites which means you may need 100' of hose or cable. The roads are dirt which can be very dusty if you are near the entrance. Could be a very nice park if they spent a few dollars. - lrp374

We arrived and were welcomed by the manager. Were told to go to the recomended site and have a look around. Site was clean, wide and long, with lots of shade. This set the tone for the rest of the stay! The park was well taken care of, roads smooth, grass cut showers and bathrooms clean, lots of hot water. Park is pet friendly - cornplanter2

We camped here for one night and wished it could have been longer. Lovely wooded sites - not necessarily level but workable, with very large areas and 2 picnic tables per site. We were able to walk down to Driftwood Lake and enjoyed a trail walk in the evening. The only drawback for us was that the electric poles were in between two sites - and our 25 foot long 30 amp cord wouldn't reach! The park rangers tried to round up an extension cord for us without success, but then went above and beyond and called a local (~20 miles) store to see if they had one in stock. They could easily have shrugged their shoulders and laughed at the "campers" who NEEDED power, but they were kind and I appreciated that so much. We would definitely stay here again. - NHLeen

Lovely park just off the highway. Had a pull through site 75. Great privacy for a pull through. Nice trails to hike. - Lisa OK

Just a wonderful park and one of our favourites. Two parts to this park so you can elect what suits your family best. There are unserviced sites either on or adjacent to the Ottawa River with beautiful sand beaches and a clean restroom/shower house in the Ottawa River East or West campgrounds. There is also Brumm campground which is heavily treed and private with 30 amp electric. Almost all of the sites in Brumm are level pull throughs long enough for the longest rig and towed vehicle. The only inconvenience in Brumm is there is no separate shower house for this area so you must either use your own, unhook to drive, or face a long walk or bike ride. Potable water fill and dumping station on the way into the park. Water spigots throughout.
Absolutely all the best of Ontario camping. - Smasma

We had booked 5 nights at this resort. The sites are really not meant for big rigs. The entrance to the sites are very winding with lots of obstacles. One has to be very careful not to damage their RV. Once we on our site, we noticed that they had planted new trees right next to the road bed where you have to part your RV, after a few years you will not have room to extend your slides. I also noted the very poor power supply, starting at 108 volts, and when you turned on an appliance, it dropped to 104 volts, too low to run an AC. Sewer, water and electric where only a few inches apart. Based on this trip, I would not recommend it for a 40 ft 5th wheel. We would not camp here again. - titanium5er

The camp operators have done an outstanding job with this campground. one of them met us at the gate and immediately got us settled into our campground with excellent back-in instructions. The sites are level and spacious. There are trees and shrubs between sites for privacy. The comfort station has individual bathrooms, each with its own shower. Laundry facilities are in the same building. We loved the layout of the campground with a very large common area that leads down to and includes the beach on the Ottawa River. Other operators would have packed in as many campsites as possible close to the water, but the camp operators chose to keep it more park-like and maximized the common area. The end result is a lovely resort. We thought that if we ever become seasonal rentals, this place would top the list. There are motor boats available to rent, and were allowed to use the canoes and kayaks for no charge. We had planned to stay just one night, but extended our stay because we found it so lovely here and hope to return. - DaveAndJoyce

Love this place! We have stayed here many times over the last 4 years and each time it just gets better!!! The owners are fabulous!!!! If there is anything you need they'll do their bestest to help you out or point you in the right direction. There is so much for the kids to do, and their Beach is beautiful and clean with lots of muskoa chairs for relaxing. Tons of walking trails. I could go on and on do yourself and family a favour visit Morning Mist! - Laura Symes

Stayed here a couple of nights as we traveled across Canada.
Very nice grass spaces with hedges between each site.
A number of friendly seasonal guests in well kept units.
Lots to do, with a beautiful lakefront setting, Fishing Boating, Paddle Boats.

It's a little tight in spots ... highly recommended. This is a fishing / camping not GLAMPING stop. If you don't like a little dirt on your tires this is not the spot for you. - Medic73
Sep 2018 - $28.00
We were reassigned to a pull-through site instead of a back-in before we got there and were glad to have more room on busy Labour Day weekend. The staff were very nice and cooked quite a meal for the entire campground. Park guests have access to a beach and free canoes and kayaks on the Ottawa River. Many sites are seasonal; we had booked well ahead of time since it was a holiday. It was pretty quiet between 10pm and 7am. - Hikers
Jul 2018 - $50.00
This is a very basic campground. It looks like most of the campers are long term and are given a minimum of notice. Seems like it's mostly youngish workers/laborers from the people I have seen so far. I thought it was going to have a river view, but that is limited to a peek between buildings across the road from the campground. Ontario was in the midst of a heat wave and the hook-up had a lot of trouble keeping my one a/c going weakly. This campground is fine for an overnight stay. - EdinFL
Jun 2017 - $30.00
It's a small park, new owners. Very clean and friendly. Park includes wifi, spacious spots also the use of kayaks and canoes. Park owners were constantly working on improving the park. New cabins, landscaping and pool going in. Absolutely a great value. Can't wait to comeback next year. Pet friendly. - ThePullmans
