Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

The Park is 90% seasonal. There is a beautiful pool and water play area at front for those that like pools. The roads to overnight spots are thru tight lanes of seasonal site. We had to exit our truck and ask locals to move their golf carts etc to get thru. Seasonal sites are run down and messy. No shade on overnight sites - there are young trees planted - 1 on each site at front but they would take 10-20 years to be shade. There are trees / bushes behind overnight sites that block satellite signal but are too sparse for privacy. Lots of mosquitos in that border. Other side of those bushes is more seasonal sites. Check in is a odd 3 hours window only (1-4 pm at peak season). This is really inconvenient - after hours check in has to be previously arranged and if your racing nearby its next to impossible to know when you can leave to move to this park. Also site was not level as promised. Tap for water (and cable - we didn't try because we didn't have an adaptor - there is a co-ax male end of cable exiting the ground at the tap?) is at very back of site - meaning you need a 40 ft plus hose for water or park at the back section of the site (our rig's rear window was in the bushes). The sewer is also fairly far back so you need a long sewer hose if you want to park at a reasonable distance from the bushes. Sites are wide and deep in this section - there around 6 sites in a row here with an field across. Back in only. Wi-fi internet is a joke - you connect but never get any speed to even google a restaurant. Out of 3 days of trying I managed to get online successfully for 20 min at 6am on Tuesday only. On a small note the gate keypad is so low you have to exit your vehicle if its taller than a mini cooper to enter the code. The Fire ring had garbage in it when we arrived. There is a fry shack near pool. Won't Return. We camped at Klondyke Trailer Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Local things are antiquing on Sundays, pinery provincial park and beach, grand bend beach, grand bend motorplex raceway. best's restaurant is SLOW (40 min for fish n chips and a hot dog) but their ice cream is good. Aunt Gussies is also slow but their food is excellent. Pizza delight has good pizza.
