Check-in was efficient and the chap led us to our site (B1). The roads are sand/gravel, well maintained, although narrow for big rigs.

Our site was long (70'), sand base with services well located. Water quality is good, but pressure low. Electrical power is stated at 30 amps, but we only got 24 on a good day and anywhere from 15 to 20 on the last day. After tripping the breaker numerous times, I called the office to report a bad breaker, but was told it was the lines. Basically they advertise 30 amps, but the infrastructure cannot deliver. Wi-fi was excellent, both signal strength and bandwidth.

This is bear country, but the garbage is an open trailer covered by a temporary enclosure that is covered on 3 sides, but open on the front. Located next to the garbage was a dump station, as about ½ the campground doesn't have sewer, so they drive holding tanks over to the dump station, which stunk, every time I walked the dogs. Apparently coaches on the non-sewer side dump gray water directly onto a small pit in the ground.

Campground rules, well we didn't receive any, and based on our experience they either don't exist or the management refuses to enforce them. Some of the seasonal sites are well maintained, but sadly most are unkempt, with multiple vehicles, ATV's, bikes and kids toys strewn all over the place. Obviously no limit on the number of vehicles permitted at a site. Noise is constant:

• kids screaming and shouting until midnight,

• • ATV's and motorbikes driven by children, who didn't look old enough to drive, at speeds well in excess of posted speed limits. No adult supervision apparent.

• party on Saturday night with loud music until 03:30

• party on Sunday until about midnight, with excessive base.

The owners obviously don't enforce dogs being on leash, or picking up after them.

If you're looking for a park that is noisy, unkempt and has poor services, then this is the place for you, otherwise, you might want to try another option. We camped at Cameron's Beach Trailer Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $30.00

This is a great place for kids: toddlers and other have the beach; preteens can fish, bike around the campground and socialize; teens and later with ATVs have many off-road trails outside the park. For adults, the only bike trip available is a 7 kilometer trip around Big Nellie Lake. Most occupants are seasonals. Smoky campfires at night can irritate the allergic. Wi-Fi is sturdy but a bit slow (1 mps). The park is heavily wooded, limiting satellite TV use. Management is very attentive. Vehicle washing with piped-in lake water is permitted. We camped at Cameron's Beach Trailer Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The nearby town of Iroquois Falls has no large stores. A few kilometers north, Cochrane has smallish grocery stores, drugstores and a couple of modest restaurants.

Nice park with mostly seasonal sites. Some have been there for a long time as the owners are third generation. Area is quite sandy with a very nice beach. Overnight sites seem closest to the beach. They offer 1 hour free internet. Has a chip place at the entrance that is supposed to be very good. We weren't able to try it as a storm knocked out power the evening we were here. Would stay here again. Rate includes CAA discount. We camped at Cameron's Beach Trailer Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a nice park just off highway 11, with good signage and roads. It's mostly seasonal sites, but has partial and full service overnight sites too. Very quiet, no highway noise and only 1 train per day going past. Wi-Fi is $5/day, but there is good cellular coverage for those people with an air card. Large sandy beach, boat launch, snack bar and boat rentals available. I stayed here a week and would definitely return. We camped at Cameron's Beach Trailer Park in a Travel Trailer.

Other than the fact that we could not get a satellite connection, this campground was very good. The owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We would stay here again. We camped at Cameron's Beach Trailer Park in a Fifth Wheel.
