Despite it's decidedly worn appearance, we loved Batman's. It is well maintained, clean, quiet... and just plain old-fashioned fun. The camp store is solidly stocked (including steaks!), the docks and boats are accessible and easy, and the whole feel of the place is just great. Yes, the internet is only accessible at one location (great!), yes the facilities are worn (nostalgic!) and yes, the roads are relatively tight for bigger rigs. It's a campground built in a by-gone era, and it feels nice to be there. We had a GREAT site--perhaps the best we've ever gotten--on the Sunset beach side of the park. Plenty of room, close beach access, and a few trees around to hang a hammock. Perfect. - Thiel

Very family friendly park on Georgian Bay of Lake Huron. Boat rental, boat ramp, beach at campground. Most sites are unusually large for a commercial campground with trees/bushes separating sites. 4 bar ATT (Rodgers) cell signal, no off air TV channels, free WiFi near office, dump station on siding as you leave park, honey wagon service available. The place impressed us as quiet for a family park, strict quiet curfew enforced and no motorized "toys" are allowed in park. We were also impressed with the stylish decks and gardens of most of the seasonal/park home sites. - readontheroad
Sep 2016 - $45.00
Site was very level with trees each side to give privacy. $45 was waterfront but sewer not available. There is a dump on the way out.
Pleasant and quiet. Internet only at clubhouse which was a walk.
All dirt roads with potholes.
Pricey for what we got. - Tworetired

Amazing location in Kilarney Provincial Park. Very remote but still has wifi and great showers. Friendly owners and great clubhouse with bags of character. - Cyclink the World

Long gravel driveway that is too narrow for two way traffic. There appeared to be as many seasonal as overnight sites. The friendly owner escorted us to our site and explained where the facilities were located. Our site was a grass back-in that even with a few bumps, I managed to find a level parking spot. Our site had lots of room as it was located by only one other site which wasn't occupied at the time. Most of the other overnight ones were much closer together. Hookups were electric and water. The electric plug had no cover, but it worked fine. Water pressure was good. There was a table and fire ring on site as well. Garbage (bin was a utility trailer with a canopy on top) and recycles were located near campground exit and the showers and washrooms were nearby. A dump station was just past the garbage bin. No OTA TV or Wi-Fi from the site. Boating and fishing seem to be the main activities here. This park is okay for a night or two, but I wouldn't stay any longer unless I had a boat. - Onemoretrail

Enormous sites, mostly level. Very pleasant hiking trails around the falls, very clean comfort station. Very convenient, just off route 17. Only beef is with the online reservation system that charges $10 for the privilege of booking online. - DaveAndJoyce

This park is beautiful. Trees everywhere, shady sites, easy roads to navigate, plenty of space between campers, and helpful staff. I didn't need to use the public washroom, but I did see people waiting outside most every time I walked by with my dog. In addition, they were cleaning the facilities right during the morning rush at 8 or 9. Most places wait until mid-day when less people need the restrooms and showers. Other than that, this park was gorgeous. Make sure to go see the waterfalls and lake. Spectacular surprise for me, anyway. - EdinFL

This is not a resort at all! A campground, no more, no less. Our rating is simple to explain: 1 is the least you can rate, then this campgrounds earns one point each for the gorgeous view over the lake and the very silence at night. Other than that it's just ridiculous what you get for your money (No discounts whatsoever). Our back in site was the most unlevel we ever stayed in, sloped from front to back and side to side. The electrical hookup (15 amp) is flimsy, the water hookup OK. No sewer, no Wi-Fi, no cable. No privacy at all, nothing between the sites. The road to the campground is a 1.5km bumpy gravel road, inside the campground it's narrow but manageable. However, if the opposite sites of yours are occupied, backing in might become a bit tricky. Our 5th wheel is 34 feet and we did just OK. We had a peak inside the washrooms but didn't have the courage to use them, so we left the place unharmed. We won't return, if you want to stay there, don't use the website's official address because your GPS will send you somewhere in the outskirts of Espanola. The problem is known by the owner but doesn't seem to care about it. From the Trans Canada Hwy take Hwy 6 through Espanola and turn right at the large "Lake Apsey Resort" sign on the right about 5 km past Espanola. - TheSchweitzers

This is wild camping, no hook ups but amazing views onto the lake. Cheap firewood delivered to your pitch and an assortment of wildlife. Completely peaceful. Pitch 7 is the best! - Duchess Ryan

Camped there for about a week in our 30ft trailer. We come to this spot every year, this was first with a trailer, before I used to tent all the time. Love the scenery and waterfront sites with beautiful view. Great place, nature, quiet and clean. Owners are VERY friendly. I will have to disagree with previous review. The reason I bought my trailer is so I can use my own trailer toilet, water from the trailer tank, sink etc. and not worry about hookups and overcrowded full service sites. The only exception, I run a hose to the water hookup. Also love the location of it, close for a walk to town, to the bar, for fish and chips, groceries, even fishing! Again, great spot, hidden jewel! - Kuba
Jun 2013 - $26.00
This park offers only unserviced sites, but in a beautiful setting. It seems to be oriented toward rigs that are too big for Killarney Provincial Park, or when campers overflow from the park. Nonetheless, some of the access roads were a bit tight for our 36 foot fifth wheel, but we made it. The setting is quite nice, on the shores of Georgian Bay within walking distance of the village of Killarney. The low rating is only because the sites are unserviced. We would probably stay here again. - wandrr
Jul 2017 - $33.00
Our site was in a new area, wasn't even on their site map, but the site was huge, we could park sideways. They have some strict rules, but I think that is more for the seasonals. We found the owners very friendly and helpful. We had noisy partiers across the road, that were singing and talking loud with music until after 1 am, but when we informed the office, the owner went straight up there and laid down the law. The park is well maintained, the wifi is good in the clubhouse. They have 2 Purple Martin Houses right at the office, beautiful birds!! - Ontarian RVers
