Overall Rating:

Very clean campground. Our site was a pull through (adjacent to an open site), gravel and full hookups. Very fast wi-fi, strong Rogers cell signal (we have AT&T so we could use it.) Park had a pool, pond, gravel roads, easy to navigate. The park has seasonals, park models and some mobile homes. Not sure what the long term plan is for the park but for a short stay, we enjoyed it. We camped at Golden Pond RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Recommend the Labatt's Brewery tour ($12 ea) in London. No grocery close by so be sure to stock up before settling in.

Overall Rating:

Saved 25% on the monthly rate as date of stay was mid September to mid October. Pool, paddle boats, store etc all closed, thus the reduced rate. Our site was a short back-in but as not too many there, they allowed us to park our car on site behind, otherwise it would have been a real challenge to get the tow vehicle on site. Staff was excellent and helpful but beware, they have a "visitors resort fee" of $5/day which they never told me about at booking. It may be fine when all is open but when most of resort is closed, a bad policy. Our daughter was coming out 2-3x/week for dinner and after some discussion never charged her but in high season, they said they would even though she wasn't using anything of theirs other than a spot of dirt for her car. This is the nicest one close to London ON that we have found. We camped at Golden Pond RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We were travelling around looking for a park to make our permanent seasonal. We stayed one week. We talked to quite a few seasonal campers and what we found out was obsurd. The owner treats his seasonal campers who pay prime rates very poorly. Although the grounds themselves are very clean and tidy that is about all that is good. The store is actually only open on the weekends and most of the time they are out of the specials they advertise. The pool doesn't open till July and closes promptly after the labour day weekend. There are no through the week activities what so ever. The internet is a joke, they control the bandwidth and it took 25 minutes for me to get in my text emails. He has asked many seasonal people who have been there for years to leave because their trailers are too old. The truth is he wants this to be a mobile home park not a rv park...I say park because "Resort" is not really accurate. The owners are completely selfish, ignorant people and I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! RVers Beware. We camped at Golden Pond RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

We are seasonal campers here. Our site is treed with green space. Campground is very clean and tidy. This is what sold us on a seasonal site. Washrooms are updated and kept clean. There is laundry facilities on site, which is convenient. Pool is small but otherwise pretty nice. Hydro is expensive, he charges 22 cents per kilowatt hour. Campers are close together and often people walk through our site. The owner nickle and dimes you to death. Our children are often bored, they do not offer many activities for kids. The people here that stay are great. Cannot say that of the owner. We have many problems with hydro, neighbors as well. The water smells, we have a water filter that does help. Our recent experience Canada Day long weekend has to be the worst ever. Had family out to stay on our site. Night passes are listed at 10/ person per night. Had a party of 7, 3 adults, 4 children. As they came to our site we were told no tents allowed on permanent sites, this is camping. Not only were they charged 17 dollars per person per night, this is supposedly a group rate charge. Cant figure out what constitutes a group He did not explain. The staff explained that we were notified in writing that the policy has changed on tents. then we get told they cannot stay on our site, unless they stayed in the trailer. I was totally appalled. We have been here for years. So they go up to the office and rent a tent site. Had to stay beside the bandstand, which by the way does not constitute a site at all. Paid 300.00 for the long weekend. He charges extra for a party more than 4 on one site. Your nightly rates include 2 children and 2 adults, anyone extra you will be charged. This will be our last season at Golden Pond Resort. For 3000.00 per season plus hydro I think that other places might offer a better bang for your buck. We camped at Golden Pond RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The store is often open, however they do not offer much. The restaurant is decent. They have specials every weekend. Mini putt is available, this is a free activity. For a charge they do offer paddle boats. Pond is nice.

Overall Rating:

Found this park just terrible. Our stay there was a complete disappointing. The owner of the property was terrible, he was completely disrespectful of women and children. Power was terrible, went out many times. The so called internet, which they charge for, was none existing. Store was bad, not a good place. Found them to be very discriminating people. Nothing to do. Children were bored. Campground is a money grab. Worst camping trip of our family's life. We camped at Golden Pond RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This park was not far from the main roads but it was clearly not a park which was up-to-date in modern terms. The WIFI was not acceptable and the TV reception via cable was barely adequate. The majority of the residents in this park were full timers but it was clean and adequate. We camped at Golden Pond RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Expensive for what you get plus $3 extra for Wi-Fi. It was okay for overnight. The access was difficult - would look else where next time. The park was designed for people to spend the summer and not for overnighters like us. Office was nice. We camped at Golden Pond RV Resort in a Motorhome.

They are listed as Big Rig campground, but are not. We were guided to our site after being told to disconnect and drive through entire campground in order to enter the site from the wrong direction as trees blocked entry. This caused the power, water to be on the passenger side of coach. Had to back out of site. 30 amp tripped off while using microwave. Sewer hookups were on both sides of RV and within 6-10 inches of the wheels. Ground very uneven and muddy. Could not level coach as site so uneven that stairs would have hit the ground. Many trees with low hanging branches. Many permanent trailers and modular homes. Road to park was dirt/gravel. Inside roads were the same. We camped at Golden Pond RV Resort in a Motorhome.
