Couldn't wait for May so I dragged the family here for a one night so I could test all controls in travel trailer from winter storage. Hard spot to back into with my 59 foot setup. I picked a bad spot. Not all the camp sites flat. It was mud soaked from weeks of rain. Keep in mind that this is a provincial park so no water on site. You have to haul water jugs to your fresh tank filler. Which was 10 trips for me. Lucky the faucet was close and there's no threads to screw on to either. I recommend this park when it has dried out. We camped at Bronte Creek Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very close to Toronto if you need a place to stay. The sites are a good size and most have good privacy. We camped at Bronte Creek Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

We wanted a site near the greater Toronto area so we could meet up with friends and this park fit the bill. The cost seems high for electric only service, and as mentioned in other reviews, the electric post may be a long ways from where you need it to be. In our case, it was located between sites 110 and 112, therefore, for site 110, on the non-utility side of our RV, and very close to the front of the site. We ran the power cord under the bus, and parked the bus with its front right at the road, and with an extension cord, we could plug in. The tow vehicle had to be parked in the grass next to the site. The site was plenty long for our 43' bus and would have been great if we had had two extension cords or the power pedestal was closer to where we needed it. We considered pulling into the site rather than backing in, but the roads are narrow and we weren't sure we would be able to get turned around to leave if any additional sites were occupied. The roads inside the campground are gravel and have lots of potholes - maybe to be expected by end of the season.

There are beautiful wildflowers growing in the "Prairie" section at this time of year - so it is very pretty. It appears that only the Prairie and Savannah sections are open, and, since it is mid-week, less than 1/3 of the sites are occupied. We camped at Bronte Creek Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

It quite a pretty park. All personnel were friendly and helpful. In our Prarie loop, the sites were large and clean.

The electrical outlets are quite far apart. Be very cautious about which one you book. If you do not have an extension cord, you may not find a good spot. We just barely made it. We had to move from the first spot as we old have need almost 50 feet if we wanted room to park the tow.

Our sited needed to be mowed. Many were mowed, many needed it a couple of days ago. Wild flowers were beautiful. Beautiful!

If you understand these limitations, you will enjoy the place. No WiFi but you are close enough to Starbucks. We camped at Bronte Creek Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: August, 2010 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a pleasant surprise since it is so close to the city and yet so quiet. It is convenient for travel into Toronto. The only issue we had was the distance to the power point. The posts are shared by two sites and whoever gets there first gets to use the plug they need and the other gets the leftover. We got a 50 or 15 amp plug when we needed the 30. The park is very clean and the workers were all friendly. We will stay there again when in the area. We camped at Bronte Creek Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: July, 2009 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The park has two parts, the first one is the camping site off Bronte Road. And second "Day Use" park off Burloak Road, which is about 10-15 minute drive away. Not all camping grounds have tree coverage, and pads are gravel based and level. The camp ground had lots of children and some dogs. Some sites require long electrical cord, our site required two 25 feet extension cord to reach the power post. The power post had only 15A and 50A sockets, but the park office had courtesy rental of 50A to 30A converter. Separate dumping area also has potable water to fill the fresh water tank. The day use area has lots of activities for children with petting farm, pool etc. You will have to pay extra to use the pool ($2.50 per adult and $1.00 per child, if you are camping). There are nice trails to walk the dogs as well. We camped at Bronte Creek Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.
