Wanted to give an updated review as last one was from 2016. Agree with the reviews here - very nice park, lots of hiking trails and biking trails, sits on a beautiful lake with access to a lot of other lakes in the area. It is a bit of a haul off the main highway, so if you are just looking for an overnight pull in, you have other options in the area that are right off the highway. But if you are looking to stay a few nights, I would definitely recommend it. We camped at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

Like the other reviewers have said, this campground is about 35 km off of Hwy 17, but well worth the trip to it. It is a huge campground with quite a few sites on the lake. The 200's sites are best suited for MH's but there were many other sites that would also be acceptable, they just wouldn't be on the lake.

If you are using electrical be sure you have at least 75' of power cord as the outlets are spaced between two sites and can be a long ways away from your unit.

They have a very nice Visitor center with canoes, kayaks, and bikes available for rent. There is a beautiful sand beach. Besides the lake, the main attraction in this park is the numerous hiking and biking trails. Some short, some very long and difficult (Sleeping Giant).

The park is so nice we seriously considered staying an extra night, but just couldn't fit it into our schedule. We will definitely return to this park.

About 12km before the park is a road that goes to the Lake Superior Thunder Bay overlook. Warning, do not attempt to drive on this road with anything bigger than a car. It is a winding, steep and pothole filled road, but the view at the end is worth it. We camped at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

This is a remote park on a peninsula near Lake Superior. It is a fair distance from the Trans Canada Highway, but a nice park with lots of areas for hiking. Campground is narrower. RVs fit in the 200 area at the far end, with some campsites having a view of the lake. Campsites on the upside of the lake have a view of trees that are mostly dead from about 8' down, so even though you have privacy, it's not ideal to look at. We were here in September and the roads and trails get fairly muddy. The beach area is pretty and the only place we could get wifi. You can bring your portable there to get good cell reception with pleasant scene. We camped at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived late in the day (5pm) and were lucky to get a lakeside site. We camped in 216: and it was amazing. Beautiful views. Bring an extension cord as the power was over 75 feet away. Quite the drive but worth it. We camped at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in an electrical site at the far end of the campground (204). Make sure you bring an extension cord as the connections are a looonnngg ways away. It took a bit of work to get level. After all that it was a great place to stay. We over looked the water and that was gorgeous. It is a long way from everything so make sure you are stocked up before you go, otherwise you will have at least 30 minute drive to get things. We would definitely stay here again. A large campground with many sites. Some of electric sites are just lined up in a row, and some are scattered in more secluded and larger sites. Most of the sites are in trees with shade. Some may fit larger units. There are many trails, a boat dock, beach, and a store. It was raining during our stay so we could not use all the facilities. But we would go back to explore more. Our site was level with view of lake. We camped at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campsite right on the lake, very private and huge sites. Take a long extension cord, the hookups are far, be sure to note the distance when making reservations. This campground has lots of hiking trails and a wonderful restaurant at the general store; but, it is very far away from anything else. We camped at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in the loop that had electric (site 208) for 5 nights. This is a fabulous campground with very large, private sites right on the lake. The sunsets were wonderful, and we had deer at our site a couple of evenings! We camped at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

The loop with electric sites is fantastic -- most are very large sites with excellent privacy, and half are right on the shore of Marie Louise Lake. Very quiet at night with great skies for stargazing. We camped at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park in a Tent Trailer.
