We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Bisell's. We had a prime spot, very level, and the park was great to explore the area from. Not too far to Niagara Falls, close to the many vineyards and farms of the area. We would definitely go back. Our rig is 38' long. We camped at Bissell's Hideaway in a Fifth Wheel.
No real problem with this place. We'd heard really good things and we did have fun but we weren't blown away. The big pool was nice but bear in mind anytime there's an "accident," the whole huge pool has to get evacuated while they do whatever it is they do to clean it. And there's no other real option at that point. Hundreds of people standing around for an hour waiting. It's located 2 hours from our house and not really worth the drive, so we won't go back for that reason. We camped at Bissell's Hideaway in a Tent Trailer.
Very nice RV Park. Sites are level however close together. Fire pits and picnic table at each site. Very clean Washrooms and showers ($). Very large Pool, splash pad and water slides were a hit with the kids. Nice mini put and playground as well. Picked cherries here, yum! Recommend for families. Close to Niagara Falls and many wineries as well. We camped at Bissell's Hideaway in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $65.00
While visiting the Falls we stayed here. The sites were close together, however, checking out other campgrounds, they all looked about the same. This park has a water park that's a '10'. It's a real cement lake that was very enjoyable and well maintained. There is also a water slide and small child area with water guns and stuff. Also seems as if walking through another's site was the norm up here. I felt bad for the rental cabin behind our site because when they escorted me in, I was backed up within 2 feet of the cabin, pretty much making their rear window view a wall of white fiberglass. We would definitely stay here again. A great place if you have kids. We camped at Bissell's Hideaway in a Fifth Wheel.
Great place to stay near Niagara Falls in Ice wine country. Excellent base camp to enjoy the falls area (20 min), Niagara-on-the-lake (30 min) and Toronto (60 min). Huge and I mean HUGE swimming pool (1 acre-zero entry to 13' deep) with large diving platform and water slides! Campground is a water park destination for many locals (can pay day rate to use the pool/picnic area-mostly separate from the campground). Roads are paved with speed bumps (they love their speed bumps at Bissell's-keeps the speed down to 15 KPH). Many sites have brick patio pad, but some pads need attention. Campground is mostly made up of seasonal campers, but owners are talking of expanding to offer pull-through sites. We camped at Bissell's Hideaway in a Fifth Wheel.
