Beautiful park with paved roads and interlocked sidewalks. Sites are large with mature trees for shade and concrete pads. Indoor pool is adjacent to the office. This was our first trip to this park - we will plan a return trip next year. Our only criticism is the lack of proper WIFI. We had to rent a modem from the office @ $5/day - not what I expect for such a well-run park with premium fees. We camped at Woodland Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The park itself is very nice and clean. The issue we have is with the management, the co-owner we dealt with was one of the most ignorant people we've ever dealt with. He has zero people skills and would highly benefit from some customer service training. If you are looking for a nice park then this could be an option but if you are also looking to be treated with respect then look somewhere else. There is an indoor pool at this park and playground but other then that there wasn't much activity wise. If your campsite isn't at the front of the park, expect to have to walk 15 to 20 minutes to the beach. You are almost better off driving and paying for your parking. We camped at Woodland Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Landscaping is complete (reference to a past review), so we found this to be the quietest, and best-maintained park we've ever stayed in. It's a different experience with no evergreens: hardwood trees provide ample shade. The park has a residential feel, with luxurious sod and double-size concrete pads for each site. Staff was friendly, and appreciative of our positive comments regarding appearance of the park. Easy walk to the lake! Hubby loved the cable TV access; we didn't pay for WiFi (used our vehicle's WiFi). We enjoyed our week so much we're going back later this summer. We camped at Woodland Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Try the antique shop east of town or Sauble Beach Raceway (weekends only). Sand beach is fabulous, but pay-to-park. Main strip is touristy but clean! Drive to Wiarton for a patio lunch; drive north to Tobermory for diving, kayaking, glass-bottom boat tours, lots of restaurants, or ferry to Manitoulin Island for the day. If it rains, Owen Sound offers a movie theatre and big-box store shopping. This area has it all.

Overall Rating:

Very clean and updated sites with all amenities and many more activities.

Very far from beach and unless you are at the front of the park, all the activities and pool are at the front. Many extras that are not explained during the reservation process, like each person is an extra $20 per night. Only 2 adults covered under the $60 nightly site fee. Very expensive for any extras required. We camped at Woodland Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice campground. Landscaped beautifully, everything is very clean and well kept. Indoor pool. Charged $5.00 a day for WiFi for up to 3 devices. Only complaint; there was a tractor driving by all day long doing landscaping and planting trees in another area of the park. Overall though, one of the nicer Ontario parks we have stayed in. We camped at Woodland Park in a Tent Trailer.

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

The cement pads and patio were very nice as was the landscaping. (1 rating point for the pad, and 1 point for the landscaping.) But that is where it stops. We found the management to be very poor and the cost to be very high. I tried for over an hour to configure the box of wires, cables and modem (which they charge $5.00 a day for) to get the internet at my site. Could not get it to work nor could I get any help from management, so I packed it all up and took it back for a refund. They had a computer set up in the office for campers but there was a charge. They have a rule about dogs being on a leash, but they don’t enforce it. Three campers around me, let their dogs to run free all the time we were here. I complained and it fell on deaf ears. It’s posted to shower with soap before going into the pool and guess what: they charge to take a shower. To do a load of laundry will cost you $6.00. Firewood $10.00 if you can arrange to be here during the limited time it’s open. The advertised 5 minute walk to town and the beach is not possible. It took 7 minutes from our campsite to the front gate and another 23 minutes to the beach. We would only go back if there was a change in management and more realistic prices. The people who have rated this park as being in the top 10 have obviously only driven through and were impressed by the cement and flowers. We camped at Woodland Park in a Motorhome.

We have been camping here for the last 10 years, and it is one of the most beautiful campgrounds in Ontario. Almost every site has a double wide cement pad. The Internet is not Wi-Fi, but you can rent a modem and plug in through the CATV. Staff is friendly and helpful, check-in is easy and fast. The beaches in Sauble are simply amazing. We camped at Woodland Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fancy RV park with mostly seasonals (100 sites for daily use). Very nice grounds, well kept. Concrete pads with grass. Nice pool. Rented a cable modem. Quiet park with a security gate controlled by a card. 2 laundries (don't use too much soap, water is soft) Sauble Beach is a long sandy beach. One area is available to drive (park) on so you can set up your beach chairs right in back of your car (or motorhome). Enjoyed this park. We camped at Woodland Park in a Motorhome.
