4 Parks near South Baymouth, Ontario
Jul 2016 - $45.00
We moved to a waterfront spot on our second day. Incredible sunrise and sunsets. - skidiver
Aug 2011 - $28.00
If you are going to Manitoulin Island in a big rig then this is the really the only place to stay, so you need a toad to get around the Island. New owners purchased it in February 2011 and they have done a fantastic job of bringing a run-down spot back to life. Young couple helped by family and lots of drive. We were in A9 up on the hill. Quiet and private. One of the best we have had for years. We stayed three days. Wi-Fi at the office, not on-site. Dump station easily accessible. - Aftica
Aug 2010 - $40.00
Stayed here 2 nights. We got lucky and had a site right on the water of South Bay with Electric and Water hookups and we enjoyed it very much. There are no Sewer hookups but is a dump site plus a clean out service. They have a few cottages and cabins with housekeeping. Wi-Fi signal is strong in the a hotspot at the office area and it only will reach some of the cabins and sites nearby. The owners urge you to come in and use the signal or you can sit on the deck or even in a car. Roads and sites inside the campground are sand or gravel. We had no trouble negotiating them with our rig. Some sites have grass and most have fire rings. Water in the bay at this spot is quite shallow so there is a lot of swimming and wading. They rent boats and canoes here. The owner/operators are very friendly and helpful about everything we asked. The major downfall is that the restroom/shower building needs to be rebuild and modernized. The roof line is sagging and the floors will never ever be clean again even though they try hard and mop daily with Clorox water. This campground is actually about a 1 minute drive from the ferry terminal in South Baymouth so its very convenient in that regards. Its quite dark at night so would be great for star watching if the skies were clear. We would return. - Bookwormonwheels
Aug 2016 - $40.00
Stayed here while visiting relatives in the area. A wonderful, relaxing place. Top notch in all respects, spacious sites, helpful and pleasant staff, nearby beach on Lake Huron provided excellent swimming. The only negatives are that no cell service is available, Wi-Fi only near the office, 15 Amp only and no sewer hookups although there is an easy access dump station. We would stay here again. - BillandEila
Jul 2014 - $38.00
What a clean, comfy and beautiful place! Fire pit, electric and water on lot. Firewood 7$ for a wheelbarrow that lasts for 3-4 nights! Store with treats, groceries, milk, eggs, etc. Walking distance to the most beautiful beach on Lake Huron. HUGE children's park a short walk away - lots of things to go see near park (Bridal Falls, Cup and Saucer hiking trail, ChiChimaun ferry, etc). Staff super friendly and sites super clean! Thank you! - angelel83
Aug 2013 - $45.00
This place has two separate areas in a wooded area for seasonal full service site - total of 72 seasonal while we were there. The short-term sites are all full service and located near the center of the resort, close to the washrooms and the large swimming pool. Most sites are large square, level gravel areas, typically with trees and bushes between the sites. There are also about 6 pull through sites with minimal privacy. There is a new well setup play area for small children and a large games room with games for teens and adults. There is a large triple water-slide which was not in use, a mini-golf area and a new looking tennis court. There is only a small sand beach on lake Huron but there is a well protected marina with catwalks and 12-14 births. It certainly seems to be the most modern RV park on Manitoulin Island and for many miles in both directions but it is a long drive from Highway 17. - JTD2
Sep 2016 - $45.00
Site was very level with trees each side to give privacy. $45 was waterfront but sewer not available. There is a dump on the way out.
Pleasant and quiet. Internet only at clubhouse which was a walk.
All dirt roads with potholes.
Pricey for what we got. - Tworetired
Aug 2016 - $37.00
This park caters more to full timers or seasonal campers. Not worth the trip if you are a larger RV or motor home.
Next time we'll keep driving, if this is the best the island has to offer we'll stay elsewhere.
30amp power. Sewer available, some sites it must flow uphill. - birdbrains
Jul 2015 - $50.00
Very dusty 1/4-mile narrow road leading in, as well as dust within the park. This campground was built in the 60's evidently for pop-ups and tents. Our 40-ft. motorhome barely fit in a 30-amp w/e site. Only 8 sites had sewer and we booked 2 months ago and couldn't get one. We couldn't get water our last night there, which they fixed with a new filter on their system; then the next morning we were out of water again. They advertised free wifi, but the only place you could connect was at the rec hall. It appeared to be a good family place with a nice beach and small marina. There didn't seem to be many campgrounds to choose from in the area, and it was a good location for exploring Manitoulin, but we won't stay there again. - wallysmom
