Really nice park on the water. Boat launch, swimming area and piers. Gravel sites with great services (even the Wi-Fi is strong) and grassy areas. Staff are welcoming and helpful. The park is near perfect but I may not return. The 3km access road from the highway is extremely rough and even going 10km/hr threw my furniture around. It will certainly give your rv suspension a workout. We camped at Sturgeon Falls KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
Tips for other Campers:
Less than 4km from Sturgeon Falls with good restaurants and services.
Owner seemed put out that we would dare show up after 7 PM in the off season. Even though they claim to offer free wifi, we were asked for an additional $2.00 for the access code. Long trek to washroom/showers through swampy land. Very quiet though as it is 5 miles from highway. We camped at Sturgeon Falls KOA in a Tent Trailer.
Wondered why there aren't more reviews of this nice park. Good access. Nice wide, open sites with full hookups. Excellent, fast WiFi. Owners on site and extremely welcoming and helpful. Great overnight stop and fills up on weekends. We camped at Sturgeon Falls KOA in a Motorhome.
One of the best RV parks we've stayed in and way ahead of most KOAs. The kids loved the slide at the lake for swimming, it was a great part of our holiday there. The owner was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The extra facilities offered are great and we appreciated them a lot e.g. lake visit, free campsite BBQ. Washrooms amongst the cleanest we've seen. Overall this stood out as one of the best campsites we've stayed in and the best in Northern Ontario. We camped at Sturgeon Falls KOA in a Motorhome.
Par for the course campground - good number of seasonal sites (they all have waterfront) owners expanding and adding sites - good length and width. Gravel sites with grass between. Quiet location - we had an issue finding them as street signage off highway was poor. They have kayaks for rent or bring your own boat. There is a playground for kids. Typical KOA overpricing for what you get. We camped at Sturgeon Falls KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
Friendly, helpful staff; clean office; clean site, level; strong & dependable wi-fi . . . all that I was needing! Very quiet. The only thing keeping me from giving it a 10 was that the pull-through site was impossible to get in & out of without going off the gravel, but the owner warned me so I presume he's going to fix that. (So it's very likely that the next time I'm here I'll be able to give it a 10!). We camped at Sturgeon Falls KOA in a Motorhome.
