Park was closer to Trans Canada than I had expected, although it was quite enough at night. Fantastic-looking playground for kids, but due to weather, we were unable to let the kids play. Showers and laundry were clean, and of sufficient quantity. Sites were a little close together for my liking. We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice place to stay for a short time. We were a long way from the showers and there was a lot of dust around. When it rained that turned to mud, but all was navigable. Nice laundry. Advertise having cable TV but not at all spots and not at the 'full hookups' spot we had. Little disappointing. Big sites, plenty of room for the toad. We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Motorhome.

Great proximity to Ouimet Canyon and Eagle Canyon. We would stay again just for this reason. Close to Sleeping Giant Park if you want a day trip.

Nice large park. Stayed one night. Very few people here since park closing in a week. Nice places to walk nearby. Very cute cabins available to rent too. Large pool and little water park. Large playground for kids. We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Travel Trailer.

KOAs are not our first choice, as we are two adults traveling months at time in a big rig. We generally are not seeking the family-friendly amenities at a KOA. And generally we find that they are overpriced, for our requirements.
However, in some cases, they are the only campground with big rig sites (50 amp).

That said, this is one of the nicest ones we've been in. The big rig sites were well laid out and more than adequate in terms of length. They were satellite friendly, and level.

The folks were very nice here, the location convenient to the highway.

We even broke down and played putt-putt golf one afternoon! We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Motorhome.

Very busy campground. There are many seasonal campers. Some sites were cluttered and some were very neat. The staff was very helpful. We noticed a lot of planned activities for the campers. We stayed in this park to visit with friends in the area for a few days. We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Motorhome.

Very large and nice campground. Many long term units are in many of the shaded sites, but the large, open area near the pool is quite nice. The WIFI is terrible - anywhere in the park. The playground is large and fenced which is great. There are two pools, both nicely warm, a deeper one for adults and a 2-3' one for kids which was great. The splash pad was still being built. The roads to the upper area were steep and rutted but the lower roads were just fine for even the largest RV. We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Motorhome.

A long driveway in, which was very rough and bumpy. Dusty roads all through the park. No direction on where to park for registering, just a mishmash of cars parked, RVs trying to get in, and little kids flying by on their bikes. Wi-Fi was nonexistent at our site and often couldn't reach it in the office. Only 15 out of 160 sites had 50 amp service, and there were very few sites with cable. We will not return. We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Motorhome.

Excellent staff, very helpful. directed us to the right people for emergency repairs on our refrigerator and safety chains. Joined KOA because of the level of service offered by ThunderBay KOA. Turns out Thunder Bay KOA is the exception, not the rule, if you merely have a tent trailer. The highway can be heard from the RV park but it is acceptable. A freight train blasts through the area, horns blaring, around 3 AM though. We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Tent Trailer.

Very good campground. Nice sites, not too close to your neighbor, and not bothered by highway noise. It is really not that loud. Pleasant and helpful staff. Site was nice graded, tidy with picnic table and fire/pit. We would recommend this park and would stay here again. We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Very loud. Right next to the Trans-Canada highway (aka the busiest highway in Canada.) Vehicles are packed like sardines. Neither me or my family were able to sleep because of the excessive traffic noise. Clean park. Your basic KOA. We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The park is clean and well maintained. The store has lots of groceries, souvenirs, and camping equipment. They had lots of activities for the weekend, including hayrides, pancakes breakfast, and an ice cream social. The only things I did not like were the fact that the showers are in the main office building, which is a hike, and Wi-Fi is only available at the office, not at the sites. Taking my laptop down there a couple of times a day was inconvenient, especially since I am from the U.S. and this is my only way to keep in touch with family and friends (and not pay roaming charges on my cell phone). We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Motorhome.

Efficient staff, friendly. Industrial scale campground, with few trees in the main lower area. Wi-Fi only works at reception. Pool area could have done with cleaning due to volumes of users. Very close to the Trans-Canada Highway. We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Motorhome.

Nice site, easy pull through. They didn't take me to it, but the map and signage was very good. Didn't use the pool but I noticed a lot of people did, and they seem to enjoy it. Easy to get to. I would stay here again. We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This park has two levels. The lower level is generally where overnighters go and others without reservations. The sites here have not been maintained for many years. Some driveways are lumpy and others are a water hole when it rains. The upper level sites are much better. This lack of maintenance is a great shame since overall its the best park for miles around. We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Motorhome.

I give it a 3 only for the fact that the staff do make a very good effort to be great about everything. Regarding the place itself. Well, because it is a 'cram them in exercise' I felt the place resembled a "refugee camp." Also when we were here: at around 3 am a young group were roaming around hitting the sides of campers with their hands and feet! Did not complain in the morning, just packed up and left one day early. The place is staffed by mainly under 21's, so what can they achieve when one complains. I have used other KOAs in the USA and they are far, far superior to this one. We camped at Thunder Bay KOA in a Travel Trailer.
