September 8, Blue Lake Provincial Park, Dryden, Ontario - 198 sites, site 231 electric, with or without electric, on dirt good size sites but many not level, $41, dump station, bathhouse with showers This park is located 5 miles off of Hwy 17 in Ontario. It is a beautiful park located on the glacier Blue Lake. Nice beach and the lake is crystal clear. Fishing, swimming, boating so it is a very popular family campground. Roads are not easy to drive on with an RV but doable. It was a little confusing to get to the dump station. The bathhouse with showers looked new. This was a one night stop for us and it was very enjoyable. Great sunsets overlooking the lake. We could see the lake in the distance from our site and it was a quick walk to the beach. Check in was easy and the girl was very nice. There are a number of hikes leading out from the campground. In the summer they have guided hikes and programs. This park closes at the end of September. It was a nice stop but it is very dark at night. We camped at Blue Lake Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Overnight stay while driving to the East. We reserved an electric site, but it turned out the power post was shared between two sites, and it was on the other site. Our power cord was not long enough even with a 25ft extension cord. We were there on Canada Day, and the campground was full. As a result, the bathroom / shower was dirty. We camped at Blue Lake Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Just back (July 15th). We stayed at site 106 (strange 45 degree pull thru) As prev noted great Provincial Park - we brought 175 feet of water hose so we could fill the doggie pool and refill on board water after 4 days). Used the showers - they are GREAT (free) and washrooms for the first 4/5 days. Then used on board for a "home shower - awwwwh - better water pressure) Apparently our secret dog swimming area has been found - as it is quit small - once someone else is there - your outta luck - DARN. During JULY - AUGUST staff will deliver your wood (pay with MC/VISA at the office) or CASH when they drop it off - between 6 -9 pm YAAAA. Site was very unlevel side / side and quite low at the back - took ALL out leveling blocks. We camped at Blue Lake Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

9 km in from the highway. Signage within the park could be a little better. Lovely clear lake with great fishing. Sunset was spectacular. We camped at Blue Lake Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice Ontario Provincial Park, services are OK. Excellent idea that Friday - Saturday evening staff drive around on ATV selling firewood. Typical Canadian price, but convenient. Beware sites are difficult due to narrow roads for bigger 5th wheel or MH. It was even a challenge getting our old 20 foot TT in a few back-in's. Trust your GPS because the entrance road is extremely poorly marked. So North just ~ 100 feet west of the SHELL. Very popular, always full with a great beach with even an unofficial dog swimming area. We camped at Blue Lake Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

One of the nicest provincial parks we have stayed at. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Very impressed with the comfort station which was not only exceptionally clean but boasted granite counter tops. Lovely beach and incredibly clear water. Lots of hiking trails and a very nice playground for younger kids. About 40 kms from Dryden but we found that Vermillion Bay which is 9kms away offered all the shopping that we needed. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Blue Lake Provincial Park in a Motorhome.
