We really liked this park and would return. But like every park it has it's pros and cons. Pros: Manicured, small (only 18 sites), clean, with lovely owners who are friendly and accommodating. Nice long, level pull throughs with high clearance and strong 50 amp service. Wifi was free and top notch. A garbage can at each site with daily garbage pick up, nice!! Location is close to Wabigoon lake. Cons: The park is next to the Trans-Canada highway with a tree barrier but if noise bothers you it may be an issue. There is also a railway nearby but trains are infrequent. A surprise for us...it is recommended that you don't drink the water at the sites. We luckily had a half tank of fresh water when we arrived. If you are coming off an extended dry camp this could be an issue. It would be helpful if the owners gave you information about the water before you arrive. We camped at Wabigoon Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The city of Dryden is about 14 miles west. It has grocery shopping and fast food. There is an Extra foods and a Wal-Mart. We had some mechanical difficulty with our diesel pusher and took it to Solomon and Sons west of Dryden. Excellent! Cummins shop, responsive and know their stuff.

Price indicates Canada $ inc taxes. Friendly helpful owner, level gravel pull thru sites with FHU, some grass and picnic table, fire ring. Alongside Hwy, but not too noisy, trains nearby. reasonably good wi-fi, no TV access. We camped at Wabigoon Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Internet was iffy. Owners were very friendly. Office/club house has one washer and dryer but it is a small campground. Always open. We had a big pull through lot...80'. Flower gardens are beautiful. We camped at Wabigoon Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Space 3 was level and a pull-through. Just stayed overnight. Water not for drinking, because Ontario has some rule that the water has to be tested weekly; go figure. Gravel spot, with a picnic table, good power. Mgmt likes classic cars. If you are into that, you will have something in common. We would stay again. We camped at Wabigoon Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Wabigoon Lake RV Park Management excellent and friendly. No store or staples on site but within a mile are 2 stores.Site was excellent because it was level gravel with new utilities 30 / 50 amp. This is a small very clean park next to the highway. So you have large trucks for most of the night. They are on a grade and going up to the town so they are up or down shifting , slowing down or speeding up. At the southern boundary of the RV park are the train tracks and they blow their horn each time throughout the night. Very loud noise and rumble. Because of the train and truck noise the park rates 6/10. We camped at Wabigoon Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Friendly and efficient. 10/10 for a very pleasant park. Showers are ultra modern and in the office building. Wi-Fi excellent if you take a pitch near the office. The park is right next to the TC and there is a rail-road near by as well. Sweet little under 9s playground at the park as well. We camped at Wabigoon Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This was a nice little park for only 18 sites. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. They have Wi-Fi at the park but it does not reach the pull-through site we were in but one can go the office and the Wi-Fi works very well there. There is also no cell service available at this park so you can't use your own wireless Telus modem. You are about 13kms outside of the nearest town. We walked down to the lake with our drinks and sat on the bench seat they have on the dock. It was a very nice setting. We camped at Wabigoon Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is an OK park for a one or two night stay. The only 'destination amenity' is a child's playground. Very easy access from highway and good access/internal roads. Sites (a mix of pull-through and back-in) are of generous length, level and well-graveled. Sites are not overly wide but each one does have lawn and most are separated by trees. The park is very clean and well manicured with nice flower beds. No security at entrance but we felt very safe nonetheless. Unfortunately, Canada's version of I-40 parallels the park less than 100 yards away. And somewhere nearby is a very busy 24-hours-a-day railroad. My rating would have been "7" (OK for stop-over) had the person who checked us in told us the water was not potable BEFORE we paid and got parked. Every faucet in the park carries a plastic tag reading "DO NOT DRINK THIS WATER." I suggest you check on water situation before committing to stay. We camped at Wabigoon Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Well-maintained small park with easy access to all sites. Services were in good working order, and water pressure was especially good. Friendly staff. Road noise could be a distraction for some, but it calms down after sunset, and we were able to sleep through it. Others had no problem with road noise either. Wi-Fi available in office, and some were able to access at sites close to office. We used data stick which worked fine. We stayed here one night and would stay again. We camped at Wabigoon Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Small fairly open campground on TCH between Thunder Bay and Kenora. Could easily miss the road to the campground if not looking for it. Good area to park to register. Owner friendly and efficient. Access roads within campground well maintained. Good large gravel flat sites all with full hook-ups including 50amp electricity. 50amp variable. Water pressure good. Quite a lot of noise from TCH. OK for an overnight stop. We camped at Wabigoon Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.
