Knox Butte is a very old and tired “RV park” that needs a lot of TLC. The park is full of permanent residence who for the most part have let their rigs detonate to the point that some require tarps over the roofs. Most don’t keep the area around their homes clean and tidy. Although the owners are very personable and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, they need to put some of that energy into cleaning up the park. I have to say that the bathrooms and laundry facilities were kept spotless during our stay. But, at $35 a night we expect much more that just a parking site. We will probably go somewhere else next time we are in the area. We camped at Knox Butte RV Park in a Motorhome.
We made weekly reservations (for my brother and his rig and ours) several months in advance but upon arrival, the sites were occupied by part of a group that stayed extra days. They put us in temp sites with all the amenities but it was disappointing to say the least. Fortunately, we are adaptable. A lot of long term residents. We camped at Knox Butte RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This place should really be disclosed as a trailer park versus an RV park. Many more long term spots versus vacationing RVers. Very disappointing sites. We reserved a pull through but ended up with a back in. We will never stay here again. We cut our stay short. Only positive comment is that the office lady was very nice. Stayed here for one night while passing through. Only have 2 sites for overnights. Mostly monthly spaces and all rented. Sites kept clean though. Our $28 for the night was Good Sam. We had a 30 amp site with full hookups. The 50 amp sites don't have sewer. Lady in office was very nice. Weak Wi-Fi but our Verizon was strong. Would stay here again if passing through. This was our very first extended stay at an RV Campground. I had contacted the owner earlier by email to reserve a space. When we arrived, we were welcomed like we were old friends. We stayed two weeks and three days and enjoyed every bit of it. We were able to visit the coast and go in to the interior from Knox Butte and were always given helpful advice. We also had wonderful neighbors. We will definitely highlight this part of our trip and hope to get back. We camped at Knox Butte RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
This is an older park with mostly monthly residents. Only had about 5 sites for daily use. Only 4 pull through sites, with 3 occupied by monthlies. Most sites are level asphalt. Park is split in 2 parts with a stream between. There are showers and laundry units on both halves. Owners are very friendly and helpful in setting up and giving directions to local attractions. Sewers have multiple connections between sites. Ours was 20 feet away. Owners have lots of hard pipe to help with the connections. Our Direct TV satellite and mobile broadband worked well. There have a store at the office. Complaint: Restrooms were out of hand soap. Asked to fill. They put in a bottle with antibacterial soap, but it was missing the next day. We were here for a week and the rate is reflected. We camped at Knox Butte RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
