Convenient campground, close to I-5. Sites were not too close and were paved. Laundry, showers and restrooms were very clean! Seems like a lot of sites were occupied by long term residents, but there was not a lot of junk laying around and the park was very neat and clean. We camped at Knox Butte RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mostly full time older units and it appears they use vacant lots for transient travelers. I had a wasp nest in the phone box that did not appreciate me hooking to the cable under them. I told them at the desk and she came out immediately and sprayed the nest and knocked it out of the box. The park was very clean and organized. We camped at Knox Butte RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is located across the street from an entrance to the Linn County Fairgrounds, and was convenient for our visit to an event there. However, it is not a particularly attractive RV park. It has many, many spaces filled with long-term tenants, and most of the pull-through sites have been "siamesed" with RVs backed in from each end. There were adequate sewer connections, but a shortage of power posts. We were instructed to use a 50 amp outlet (for our 30 Amp RV) with (park-supplied) "dog-b0ne" adapter. Water had a "Y" splitter to allow two RVs to connect to the same faucet. When I pulled in I was confused by the mash-mash of wires, hoses, etc., and noticed that the power post marked with our space number was on the "wrong" side. After turning around (I was initially told to back in) I then discovered that the power-post with our space number on it was fully utilized. I went to the office to inquire... and the pleasant lady (Manager?) showed me the correct post and that I had to use the dog-bone adapter on it. She was pleasant about assisting (even "waved" her arms helpfully as I turned around an backed in again...) but the flaky set up and connection uncertainty was off-putting. The grounds were open to the sky, with some trees along the edges (satellite users would be happy) but I'd have preferred some shade. Sites each have a wooden picnic table with a patch of dead grass at the edges of the paved parking area. The overall impression was a parking lot. I had called ahead for a reservation and it was ready and waiting when we arrived. We were given helpful directions to a local attraction. We also were given directions to a coffee-shop style restaurant for breakfast. All interaction with the staff was pleasant and polite. While I would never suggest this as a "destination" RV park, it was clean, quiet, but with little charm or ambience. For an event at the fairground, it's OK, but there are likely better choices in the Albany area. (Class B, no toad) We camped at Knox Butte RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a park where a relative stays during the summer months. The park is crowded and other RVs are dirty and messy. Lots of items out side of the trailers underneath and in the yards. the Wifi didn't work in our area. I could not recommend this spot but it was convenient to visit our relatives. The bathrooms, while old, were quite clean and large. We only stayed one night. it was quiet at night, no noisy neighbors. We camped at Knox Butte RV Park in a Motorhome.

I like this place. There are many full-time residents, but the park is well-managed and the residents very nice, too. It's very convenient to the freeway and there is a great dog park just beyond the fairgrounds. You should call ahead to be sure there is a space for you. As stated by others this is an older park that is really tight and need to be modernized. We had to have a pickup moved so we could get into our site and will need to do that again to get out in the morning. Our pad is level and paved with shared utilities, which means our neighbor got the 50 amp service while we got the 30. The cable works well with close to 50 channels. I could not log on to the wifi. Overall Rating:

Knox Butte is a very old and tired “RV park” that needs a lot of TLC. The park is full of permanent residence who for the most part have let their rigs detonate to the point that some require tarps over the roofs. Most don’t keep the area around their homes clean and tidy. Although the owners are very personable and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome, they need to put some of that energy into cleaning up the park. I have to say that the bathrooms and laundry facilities were kept spotless during our stay. But, at $35 a night we expect much more that just a parking site. We will probably go somewhere else next time we are in the area. We camped at Knox Butte RV Park in a Motorhome.

We made weekly reservations (for my brother and his rig and ours) several months in advance but upon arrival, the sites were occupied by part of a group that stayed extra days. They put us in temp sites with all the amenities but it was disappointing to say the least. Fortunately, we are adaptable. A lot of long term residents. Overall Rating:

This place should really be disclosed as a trailer park versus an RV park. Many more long term spots versus vacationing RVers. Very disappointing sites. We reserved a pull through but ended up with a back in. We will never stay here again. We cut our stay short. Only positive comment is that the office lady was very nice. Stayed here for one night while passing through. Only have 2 sites for overnights. Mostly monthly spaces and all rented. Sites kept clean though. Our $28 for the night was Good Sam. We had a 30 amp site with full hookups. The 50 amp sites don't have sewer. Lady in office was very nice. Weak Wi-Fi but our Verizon was strong. Would stay here again if passing through. This was our very first extended stay at an RV Campground. I had contacted the owner earlier by email to reserve a space. When we arrived, we were welcomed like we were old friends. We stayed two weeks and three days and enjoyed every bit of it. We were able to visit the coast and go in to the interior from Knox Butte and were always given helpful advice. We also had wonderful neighbors. We will definitely highlight this part of our trip and hope to get back. We camped at Knox Butte RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is an older park with mostly monthly residents. Only had about 5 sites for daily use. Only 4 pull through sites, with 3 occupied by monthlies. Most sites are level asphalt. Park is split in 2 parts with a stream between. There are showers and laundry units on both halves. Owners are very friendly and helpful in setting up and giving directions to local attractions. Sewers have multiple connections between sites. Ours was 20 feet away. Owners have lots of hard pipe to help with the connections. Our Direct TV satellite and mobile broadband worked well. There have a store at the office. Complaint: Restrooms were out of hand soap. Asked to fill. They put in a bottle with antibacterial soap, but it was missing the next day. We were here for a week and the rate is reflected. We camped at Knox Butte RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
