Overall Rating:

We think this park is overpriced at $30 a night. The sites are very narrow, and the stone walls on each side of the drive made it impossible for us to open our living room slide. We could barely open our narrow street side slide. On the plus side: the WiFi is good, 50 amp service is good, Verizon signal is good. On the negative side: very windy, no discounts even though park is listed on Good Sam. A large grain elevator separates the RV park from the river, so no river view. Quite a few trains. Although the park is advertised as first come, some sites were reserved with cones.

This would be a good place for wind surfers--we saw some on the river--and it has a large area for dog walking. There are a couple of large areas for dry camping at $9 per night. We camped at Port of Arlington Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We felt very fortunate to find a spot. After reading that there was only 12 spots in the park we were nervous. When we arrived we found that there were mostly permanent stays living here and only 3 spots available to campers and one was already reserved. There was an extended area designated for dry camping so that might have been an option had we needed it. The office was closed so we used the after hours registration. Overall while the space was tight and no drive throughs we unhooked our tow and backed in. It is definitely a small park but clean and quiet other than the train noise, traffic wasn't a problem. Nice area to walk our dog too. We camped at Port of Arlington Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Small first come first serve park with a nice marina. We were in #3 & had a pull through with a patio. Very warm - 103 - but no wind, however we woke up to small black ants in the rig. Overnight they came from the tree to the awning & into the rig, first time that's ever happened. Lesson learned now we carry ant baits & spray & will watch where we deploy the awning. Had a nice swim in the marina with the dog, green spaces for dog walking also & a park close by & market. Good Verizon signal also but no antenna TV reception. We camped at Port of Arlington Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small park, but it can handle big rigs. We are 62' long including our car hauler trailer, and we fit perfectly in site #5 with 2 feet to spare. They do have 50 amp service, and free Wi-Fi that is blazing fast. I am writing this review using that Wi-Fi. There was no wind today. There are nice restrooms, but no showers, and no laundry, which is fine; we have our own. This is a first come, first served park--no reservations. There appear to be several permanent rigs here, but all are in nice condition. There is also a dry camping area with long pull throughs for $9/night. A nice overnight spot, especially when the wind is not blowing. Walking distance to town, and nice sandy beach where swimming is allowed. We camped at Port of Arlington Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

Because of the design and width of the pull through spaces, I would say that this place is NOT big rig friendly. I can't put out one side of my slides because the site is too narrow. Since this place is next to the river, the wind is a constant 35+ mph and it's dusty! Better off finding a rest stop or a WalMart . Way over priced for what you get. We camped at Port of Arlington Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

Just way too windy here because it's right on the river. Rocks the RV like crazy. Sites are surrounded by landscaping rocks that are about 2 feet high and very narrow making it hard to even step out your door in a 40' RV. I'd rather boon dock somewhere else. Not really big rig friendly IMO. We camped at Port of Arlington Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice spot for an overnighter. It's right off of the freeway and near a train track, so it can be noisy. But it's a nice clean, well maintained RV Park with full hook-ups. Self-pay honor system. Next to the Columbia, and overlooking a Marina. Adjacent to Earl Snell Park, which is a beautiful park with a swimming beach. Walking distance to small grocery store. Would definitely stay there again. We camped at Port of Arlington Marina RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
