This park is fantastic. We stayed here for four nights. The view from almost all of the sites is great (of the lake), full hookups, the remainder of the park is great for boating or fishing. T-Mobile and Verizon were both strong here. The park is about 5 minutes away from town. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful spot, stayed 2 nights, right on the water. Places to hike, swimming in the lake was very nice, pet friendly. Ashland was a fun town to explore and had nice restaurants and a farmers market. We will come here again! We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Super nice spot. Open with very few trees. Some shade trees starting to grow in each spot. All with view of the lake. 5 miles to Ashland. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here several times. Campground fairly new and all utilities very good. Not much shade so rooftop satellites very good. All sites have picnic table and fire ring. Terraced so all sites have great view of lake. This lake is seasonal so depth varies, but some sites are within 25 feet or so of water if lake is high. Very good paved roads and sites. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice RV park. Most sites overlook Immigrant Lake with beautiful views. All sites are asphalt paved and fairly level. Most are an easy back in although a few are pull through. The RV park is adjacent to a water park with water slides, a pool and a beach. The water slides were supposed to be open while we were there, but no one was around and so I can't comment on them. There are trees and some shade, but not much yet; in a few years there should be plenty of shade. It was hot while we were there but in the evening there was a very nice cooling breeze. At times it was almost too breezy and we took our awning down. There is another area in the campground where you can park your RV as well as tent camp, but they have no hookups. On weekends it can be noisy on the Lake during the day with various powerboats, but it was very quiet in the evening and on weekdays it was always very quiet. One drawback of this RV park: they have one very well kept and clean bathroom and shower facility. It is a fair walk if you're in one of the sites located near the entrance. The showers were free, at least while we were there. We would recommend this site if you're planning to be in the Ashland area. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There are numerous things to do in Ashland. Of course, there is the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. They do plays throughout the year and a number are not Shakespeare. There are other venues in town that do theatre. Check out the Oregon Cabaret; they do musicals and other plays as well as having a dinner set up. Take a walk in Lithia Park; very beautiful.

This is the best campground we have found for a visit to Ashland. Just a short drive into town. We stayed here during an Airstream rally. We were in site #18 and our curbside and picnic area were right on the lake - beautiful setting. Excellent privacy given the way the sites are laid out. Not too many trees and mostly sunny.

The facilities were well maintained. Great Verizon and ATT reception, no T-Mobile. Campfires are allowed, at least this time of year. It does get hot and dry here later in the summer.

Nice hiking around the lake but be aware there is poison oak and there are rattle snakes.

We stay here every year at this time to attend the suberb plays produced by the Oregon Shakespeare Theater. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We camped above the lake at the RV Park. Not too many trees for shade and the wind was strong. Huge playground for the kids was nice. There is a water park/slide too. County run facility, not a lot of amenities. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Not much has changed since our stay in December. Except for the water level in the lake. It looks so much better now.
As for the camping experience it's still an excellent getaway from the I-5 with paved sites and full hookups. Quiet and lots of privacy this time of the year. Only two other campers around.
We'll be back later this year. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

One of our 'must stay' parks on the way south. Just five miles from the I-5 this park offers a great getaway from the travelling routine. Paved and level sites with hookups in good order. Very quiet and nice views. Unfortunately the lake is almost nonexistent by now. We hope for some rain and snow.
Verizon signal was good. Gas station right at the freeway and grocery stores in town.
We'll be back on our way home (and next year ...) We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Really nice park with great views from most sites, especially sites 16-24. Site 21 or 22 would be my choice if available. Full hookups, nice showers and restrooms. But, most sites appear to have leveling issues. We had to move from #5 to #23 because we couldn't get level, and even then had problems. Good AT&T data, no OTA reception.

The rest of the campgrounds in the park close Nov. 1, so it was really quiet and great dog walking when we were there. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

This campground is great, especially for larger rigs. We have stayed at the private campground close by in the past, and would not go there again. This place is clean and has a lake view. All of the spaces are paved (but not necessarily level) and have full hookups. They are not too close together, but you can see your neighbors clearly. That's because it is a fairly new campground and the trees are still small. The only negative (not the campground's fault) is that we camped here in August. Not only was it hot, it was smokey from the forest fires in Washington and Oregon. The fires were not close, but the smoke was thick. One local told us that this is typical every summer. We left two days early because of the smoke. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is really a gem of a campground. The campground is situated on the banks of the Immigrant Lake surrounded by the Siskiyou Mountains and is part of the Lake County Park system.

For a small county park, it has a lot to offer. There is a water park, a couple of playgrounds, picnic areas and boat launch areas. Area F is reserved for tents and popup trailers. Area G is reserved for RV's and is named Point RV Park. From Point RV Park you can barely see the tent area. The lake also provides usual water activities.

Point RV Park has a total 32 sites. Of which, site 1 and 26 are reserved for the two camp hosts and the handicap site was #18. During our stay site 31 and 32 were not available. Sites 26 through 32 were situated on a small hill overlooking the lower campsites as well as the lake.

The entrance to Point RV Park is narrow. The interior roads and sites were on asphalt. The utilities (FHU) were situated on the appropriate side. There was both 30 and 50 amp electrical service. The voltage was good, hovering around 119. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring.

There was a bathroom with 3 private showers. The bathroom as well as the entire campground was spotless. There is no WiFi service at this park but Verizon air card and cell phone worked well.

The evenings were very quiet and peaceful. This is a great park - off season. With all of the activities this park has to offer I can see it becoming a zoo during the summer months. We would definitely come back to this park off season. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ever since the county built this RV park, we have been staying here on our annual visit to the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland town. It is 6 miles out of town but quiet and scenic. Have full hookups, but not many pull thru sites. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Motorhome.

Absolutely lovely campground. Each site has a water-front view with plenty of room. Nice, clean, hot showers with great water pressure. We took the children fishing and used the swimming area. Also a great playground with a large picnic area for gatherings. The waterslide was closed and I imagine the crowds get large in the summer, but the RV park is well removed from the recreational area. We never met with any of the employees, so we cannot speak to service. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

A five mile drive from the I-5 exit will earn you a very quiet place for the night. All sites have nice views over the lake. However, the water level is very low. There is a campground halfway in, this RV Park is at the very end of the road. Paved sites, mostly back in. There was only one fellow camper staying, so we could pick one of the few pull through sites. All hookups in excellent shape and where you need them. Friendly camphost. Verizon MiFi worked well. We did not use the restrooms. This is one of our preferred places to stay when traveling south or back. We camped at Emigrant Lake - The Point RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
