The customer service at guest registration was excellent. The park is clean. The laundry room was decorated in a cute western theme and was very clean. The bathrooms and hot tub room were clean. We appreciated that the Park recycled aluminum, bottles, and plastic. It was a quiet place to camp, with no freeway noise. Only an occasional train whistle could be heard, which we liked hearing. There is a small store for supplies and sundries. There are a few full-time residents on the perimeter, but they are quiet and their sites are clean and kept up. They have cable TV hookup, but we didn't use it because we had many Air TV channels with our antenna. We were only going to stay 2 days, but decided to stay 4 days total. Water pressure is 100 psi, so use a water pressure reducer at the faucet connection. We would definitely return to camp at Mt. View RV Park in Baker City, OR. We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Safeway and Albertsons for groceries. Maverick diesel #2 $2.73/gallon. Great Mexican food at El Erridero. Visit the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center. Lunch at the Geiser Grand Hotel was delicious. The hotel is historic and beautiful. There are over 100 buildings. Nice Library and the Powder River flows by. Walking path along the Powder River in town. Baker City is a very friendly and nice town! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

They were doing some spring cleaning so we heard a lot of chainsaw activitie which just showed they take care of things!! The overall appearance is nice and decorative with "old time town" things... really cute! Nice people! Close to downtown with shopping, museums and resturants. Cell service good and wifi was above average. Plenty of grass areas for dogs. Nice fenced in play area for children. As you pull in, it looks like a mobile home park.... once you get all the way to the back you see the nice R.V. area. We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice RV park we found in Baker City. Plenty of RV sites. All have full hook ups. All electrical posts appear to be in good working condition. Sewer clean and covered up. Park owners were helpful and kind. We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Motorhome.

The access to the park is very convenient. The spaces are large and fairly well spaced with level gravel pads. All the utilities work well except for the WiFi which did not work at all for us. Fortunately our phone hotspot has great service. The over the air TV worked fairly well once we got the antenna adjusted correctly. There are quite a few permanent residents that have some clutter. We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Motorhome.

Long level pull-thru; Easy in, easy out. Behind mobile park but that did not detract from the RV park. Good for walking our dogs. Sites were a bit closer than we prefer. Sprinklers were turned on when we arrived and we got a little wet while we were setting up, but not a huge deal. Overall, a fine, convenient overnight stop. We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Check in person was very friendly and helpful with a lot of information. The sites are tight. Quite treed. There was grass at each site.

Could not get satellite because of the trees. Their cable was "in transition" so no cable. There were a few over the air stations that came in well. Could not connect to their WiFi.

I think this place is overpriced for what you get. Was okay for an overnight. Probably would not choose this park again. We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Motorhome.

Very pleasant park. Trees, grass, blacktop and good wifi. Pleasant staff and clean. Far enough off the interstate to be quiet but not too far. We would stay here again. We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an older park with quite a few permanent residents, but the pull-thru sites are wonderful. Lots of trees, a clean laundry, near town, but off the freeway and no noise to speak of. There are a few barking dogs, but that doesn't bother us, and it is infrequent barking. They picked up cable while we were there, and it is good. Nice grass on both sides of the RV and a picnic table. Nice long site. We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Go to Vale and see the murals. Go downtown and see the old buildings from 1800's. Eat at Sumpter Junction, which was great. The nachos are amazing. Take the scenic drives thru the gold rush country.

We made our reservations 2 months ahead and were not told that the main park was full with a convention. We were put out in the mobile home park with only 30 amp service and no cable TV. Park advertises 50 amp and cable. We had to use gas for our water heater and only 1 air conditioner. No TV during Olympics!! Owner just said nothing he could do about it! We camped at Mtn. The Interpretive Center is wonderful, but skip this campground. They were not honest when we made the reservation. Our view from the front is mobile homes and the view from the picnic table is worse!

Those of you who know me on here know I do not give a 10 as no place is perfect! :-)

That being said, I would give this wonderful place a 9.9 for sure. It is clean and just wonderful. Owner and the staff cannot be beat.

Of the now 182 different RV parks we have stayed at, it is definitely in the top 10 for sure; maybe top 5 (can't rely on memory so well anymore). We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Western theme, MH and RV park. Sites are mostly level gravel, patchy grass separating sites (don't try to put out a mat or carpet on the grass). Utilities are placed in the middle of the site. This time of year the pool is still closed, hot tub needs repair. Laundry ($2 each) and restrooms clean, store well equipped. Staff mostly pretty helpful and friendly, guide to your site from check-in. The price is a little excessive for the site. Permanent residents along the fences, mostly tidy sites. We enjoyed our stay here and would return if in the area. We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice quiet park in the back of a mobile home park. Roads and sites are asphalt with grass and a picnic table between sites. Utilities worked well. Water pressure may be a little high. There were two sewer hookups - one was near the front of the site and useless for most rigs and the other in the right place near the center of the site, but recessed below a concrete frame which makes a good connection nearly impossible. WIFI worked well, but we had to disconnect and reconnect several times in 3 days. Cable TV also worked well, except for the ABC channel that was intermittent. Easy access from the park to Baker City and to the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center. We camped at Mtn. View RV (formerly Mtn. View Holiday Trav-L-Park) in a Motorhome.

This is your average RV park, decent sights, fairly level with lots of big shade trees. Some sights can get satellite signals and some can't. Tips for other Campers:

Hell's Canyon, Baker City Interpretive Sight. It's a long drive from Hell's Canyon Damn but it is from just about anywhere you stay in the area. Around 100 miles from Baker City to the damn. If you make the entire loop scenic drive around the entire area it is about 230 miles. The trip to the damn is very scenic and worth the trip.
