Pleasant shady park at the end of a long hot day. Good gravel roads, lots of mature trees, friendly staff.

Just far off the road enough that I-84 road noise is minimal. We camped at Oregon Trails West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Old Park but kept fairly neat given the large number of live-ins. Some back in sites are tight to get in. Full hookups worked well. No Cable and satellite is basically non existent due to the trees. Can get some over air stations from Boise if the tower on the mountain is working. Staff very friendly and helpful. We camped at Oregon Trails West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Baker City nice for it's historical value. Nice refurbished Hotel downtown. Park is close to the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center and entrance to the Snake River Canyon Scenic Byway. Beautiful scenery in the valley.

I travel with two good-sized dogs, and they are a priority. This park has an excellent area for big dogs to really run and exercise after a day of confinement in the RV. Everything about the campground was clean and tidy. Yes, there was freeway noise, but just imagine it to be the roar of the ocean on the sands. Excellent place for a one-night stay. We camped at Oregon Trails West RV Park in a Truck Camper.

This is an older park with a very homey atmosphere. The sites are gravel but are fairly level and the park is well maintained. Most of the sites have shade trees. The folks at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. They were switching to a new WiFi system while we were there and they were having some problems. We camped at Oregon Trails West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The park is right off the interstate, but far enough away that the noise was not an issue. Downtown Baker City is about five minutes away and is worth looking at for its historic downtown. The park also is about five miles from the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, which is well worth a visit.

This park cannot be much more than a minute from I 84 but we did not hear the freeway at all. The staff was friendly and helpful. The site was level and well maintained. The toilet stall in the men's restroom was so small that I could not close the door and I am not very big. That being said everything else was very clean and neat. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Oregon Trails West RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pros: Affordable, convenient right off highway. Laundry -although we didn't use it. Some groceries- although we didn't need anything. Tall trees for shade. Gravel, fairly level drives. Friendly check in. Clean showers and restroom. Large grassy area in front for frisbee, golf practice...

Cons: sites fairly close together. Some strips of grass between sites worn to dirt. Would be muddy in the rain. Long termers have the best shade trees. Right off the highway- some road noise in sites close to office. Spotty wi- fi. Only one toilet stall for men and it is so small the door rested on my knees. No need for a lock because your feet stick out into the hall! We camped at Oregon Trails West RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Gravel sites with no cable but fair Wi-Fi. Laundry room and bathrooms clean but small. Lot of permanent trailers . People coming and going all hours of the night. Too much noise for us. Good for overnight only. We camped at Oregon Trails West RV Park in a Motorhome.

We choose this primarily because of it's location along our drive from Idaho to the Columbia River Gorge. It had decent reviews and was convenient. We stayed only overnight and did not use any facilities. The staff was welcoming and polite. The sites were easy in and out being mostly all pull throughs. It seems many people just stayed the night; there are a lot of semi-permanent people as well as quite a few transient work crew RVs. But most places were neat and orderly and the campground was quiet.

Just across I-84 is a nice Oregon Trail interpretive center. We're glad we chose this campground and visit the interpretive center the next day.

There are many trees in this campground which makes satellite reception a challenge (or nonexistent). We camped at Oregon Trails West RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here before due to location as it across I-84 from Oregon Trails Interpretive Center as well as easy on/easy off access. And once again the area is quiet and office/store has many items in grocery and other sections. Staff is friendly. We camped at Oregon Trails West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park was inexpensive, family friendly (2 loud toddlers and people were still lovely) and had the facilities I needed. There was wifi but it was a pain in the butt to access so I didn't. There was a coin laundry facility available but it was locked up by the time I arrived at about 6:30pm with no one to open it up for me. On the bright side there were pull through slots, picnic tables and a decent loop for my 3 year old son to ride his bike, as well as a play structure that we didn't get a chance to use but would have been great if we had had time. Right off I-84 but almost NO road noise, and still safe for the kids, remarkably. We camped at Oregon Trails West RV Park in a Motorhome.

I love the 15 acre dog run here! Great area to play chuck-ball with dogs. I stumbled upon this gem of a park on our way south in the fall, we would have extended the stay then but it was raining...and we are from BC so trying to avoid that "winter weather." Its a nice unpretentious little park; very good value for your dollar; really easy to find with road signs [and GPS was spot on for the return trip] surprisingly quiet even tho located near I-84. I really appreciate the big old trees - that just makes the experience feel more like true camping. The sites are gravel/dirt and all different lengths - but they know their stuff here and some honest to gawd 'star-size' bus with a trailer managed to be fit in for tonight.

The check in was swift and very accommodating - even has a gas bar [tho NO deisel] and its quite a nice little souvenir and local nick knacks store - all around it is great bang for your buck here. We did note that washrooms/showers were being freshly painted. Next fall planning longer layover and definitely going to check out the area more. We camped at Oregon Trails West RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

An older park but everything was clean and well kept. Far enough off the interstate to be quiet. Wi-Fi was reliable. A big fenced off-leash area was a pleasant surprise, although the pond was pretty funky. There are a few full timers around the edge but you don't get a trailer park feel. Excellent value! We camped at Oregon Trails West RV Park in a Motorhome.

This RV park is adjacent to I-84, but we weren't bothered by the hwy traffic noise. Our pull-through site was OK, but our "lawn" area was dry and dusty. The two primary reasons for the low rating was that (1) the bathroom/shower facilities were antiquated and cramped; women's facilities included only 2 toilets and 2 showers and (2) the Wi-Fi did not work at all (despite the fact that I phoned the tech support and spent about 30 minutes on the phone with them). We camped at Oregon Trails West RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
