This is a wonderful campground. There are 3 loops. Loop A has some 30 amp full hook-ups & loop B & C have 30/50 amp. Also many sites with just electric & water. All are back-in. Almost all the sites are in the trees with some having more vegetation for privacy. Also they have an extended area for the picnic table with room to put a tent shelter over the table. Our site had plenty of room for our slide-outs & rug out front but was at the very edge of being too short. Once we were unhitched, we had to park our truck across the front of the site which made it a little difficult to get in & out. On the plus side that gave more privacy. We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tried in early June to make reservations for early August with no luck. A reschedule to late September showed a couple of sites available and good reviews for site A47 put us on this site. What we didn't know, or missed when making reservations, was that when they say it's a 35' site, that's for your RV and tow vehicle. Plus we missed on the small park reservation map that A47 was a 90 degree back in site, not an angled 45 degree site. Lessons learned for our next Oregon State Park trips. All interior A loop sites were 90 degree back in sites, so beware. A47 was a beautiful site but fit more for a pop up tent, very small Class C motorhome or a very small TT. We had to drive against the arrows to back our 25' TT in due to a large tree blocking the entrance. No noise in the site. Narrow roads. Beautiful campground, but crowded with fisherman (salmon, crab) this time of year. We enjoyed our 2 night stay and will return, knowing better on which sites meet our needs. We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Great state park! Located off 101, but road noise is minimal. Lots of shrubs and trees provide privacy between sites. Inner roads are a little narrow, and some trees sit right at the corners of the site driveways. It can make backing into a site just a bit challenging for those of us with less talent for it. The sites are asphalt with fire rings and picnic tables. The hosts sell both firewood and ice at certain times of the day. There is a great little walking path to the beach, which is long for walking. Plan to be back next year. We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Beautiful campground, with paved sites spaced well (not cheek-to-jowl), some sites with shrubbery between, which offers some privacy. Though just off Hwy 101, road noise was minimal except in sites right near the road. Many sites were nicely shaded, and all those trees provide a windbreak - needed near the ocean. We had a FHU site in A loop, no issues with trees getting into this site, nice afternoon shade. There are quite a few camp hosts - each loop has at least 2, and there are at least 2 or 3 additional ones (more noticeable to A & B loops, not so much in C loop). The park seems very well maintained, and the bathrooms, though they have been there a while, were extremely clean and everything worked properly. Showers are the pushbutton "air shower" type, not my favorite, but they worked reasonably well and got me clean. Great park for bicycles, and definitely pet-friendly. The beach is quite a walk from the campground, or you can drive & park just inside the first dune - very long beach, nice clean sand. The park also offers a horse campground and trails, but horses seem not to be allowed on the park's beach itself, just in the dunes. We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a large, lovely state park with good access to the beach and the town of Bandon. There are 3 camping loops, which are all rv sites and some with yurts. This is the first park we've seen where you can tent in any site and with zero limitations (i.e. number of tents, in conjunction with rv, etc.). There are 175 sites (2 of which are camp host sites), all of which are back ins with water/electric and about half are FHU. Site pads and interior roads are asphalt. The loops are narrow one-way streets which can be tight to navigate if you are in a big rig. We stayed in C loop, site 36, which was a spacious water/electric site, but very difficult to back into. Trees are at the front of most of the sites making backing in a challenge. The majority of sites have a front to back slope (ours did), so you may need leveling blocks. All vehicles must be parked on your site pad, which is strictly enforced. This is a dog friendly park with no restrictions on the number or breed of dogs allowed at each site (they really need to enforce their own rule about dogs being on a leash). Each loop has its own set of showers and bathrooms (which are separated) and consisted of 4 showers and 4 toilets per gender and were cleaned daily. Utilities worked well and Verizon signal was good. Zero OTA channels. Park rangers drove through regularly and staff cleaned sites quickly after campers left. Dump station easy to get in/out of. Trash and recycling located at dump station, so a bit of a walk to get there. We would return but choose a different site. Look at the campground map before booking as the site angles vary and can be tricky. We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Bandon is a quaint town and is worth a visit. Tony's Crab Shack is a must (we had the fish tacos and crab sandwich), then head to Cranberry Sweets for delicious samples of candies and popcorn. Afterwards, go to Face Rock Creamery and sample their local cheese and ice cream. We also spent an afternoon at The Mill Casino in Coos Bay.

Oregon State Parks (that offer camping) often have nice RV facilities. This trip was planed close to departure time, and we had limited selection of spaces... our Class B RV is only 22 feet long, so that let us find a "short" space that had gone unreserved (during the week prior to the July 4 holiday). The park facilities were in good condition and well cared for. The restrooms and showers had been updated (Loop B) within the past 3 or 4 years. A new trail to the beach had been added since our last visit -- but it requires a fairly long walk though a lot of soft sand. The site itself was slightly challenging for our 22 ft Class B (Sprinter Van) to back in as it was on an inside corner and actually aligned opposite the direction of the one-way access road. Most of the sites have adequate privacy, but the rear of site B24 (around the corner) was directly visible from the rear of our RV. (Perhaps a tree died?) Noise and smoke from that site was a minor inconvenience (and is not typical of most sites in this park). The campground is a significant distance from the ocean, so you won't hear crashing surf during the night. Bullards Beach SP is one of our favorites and we've stayed here several times. "Standard" sites are W&E only at $29 per night, "Full Hookup" (W&E+sewer) are $31 per night. Our last minute reservation for a busy summer week gave us little choice. We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

New "Pearl's Trail to beach" is a tough slog through a lot of soft sand. Though a little longer, walk out past the camping area gate and walk along the path next to the "day use area" access road. This is a MUCH easier walk over pavement and hard soil/sand.

This could be a state park in anywhere in the US. Although the beach is beautiful and the hike to the beach quite nice, when I'm on the coast I like to feel like I'm on the coast. Reserved a week but only stayed one night because of the lack of the coastal experience and too wooded for a satellite signal. I would like to give a big shout out to the folks in the office - they were more then understanding and a refund was no problem. We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is an outstanding state park. We arrived in April without reservations. They had plenty of space. The overall look of the park reminds me of a city park with tall evergreens and smaller shrubs neatly trimmed. There are several trails including two that lead to the beach. The trail from the B loop to the beach had some water obstacles we had to get around. The lighthouse is 3 miles away, and we drove to that. The A loop has tall evergreens (not deep shade inducing) and shrubs between many sites for privacy. The B loop is similar to A but doesn't offer as much privacy. The C loop also has tall trees, but is open at the ground level. C doesn't offer visual privacy, but it is a scenic loop. Our favorite sites are: A20, A32, A36, A40, A42, A43, A47, A48. We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Big park, with a few loops, and closing season was going on for some sites. Full park every night, but salmon where running, and a lot of fishermen. Big park to hike, some trails for horses too. Lots of day use areas, and a nice hike to lighthouse along beach from park. I believe 3 miles each way. Rangers were really nice. Site level, ok cell coverage. The hike to beach is aways away, but you can drive or bike. The town of Bandon is close, as well as the golfing. We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

Three fantastic state parks in a row. Oregon knows what it's doing. The campground roads were fairly easy to navigate but a little tight as with most state parks. The campsight had strong 50/30 amps. Some sites have sewer. There's no OTA but cell is strong. Verizon 10+ d/l and ATT 10+ d/l unboosted. T mobile was on ATT roaming so no joy on the data for T mobile. Staff was friendly and the rangers drove around occasionally. The beaches here are gorgeous. Check out face rock..it's worth the 15 minute drive. As with the other places in Oregon, this is a very dog friendly area. Dogs are allowed to run on the beach off leash and on all of the nearby trails. The walk to the beach was about 1.5 miles in deep sand but there's plenty of parking if you don't want to walk. There's also a nice offroad paved bike path from the campground to the beach. Rays grocery was small and a bit pricey but got the job done. There are plenty of restaurants in town and trinket shops. Laundry (Lidia Anns) was clean but there were homeless people hanging out smoking in the back doorway filling it with smoke. We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

My spouse and I traveled the Oregon Coast for a couple weeks staying at 5 State Parks, 1 National Park, and 2 RV resorts. This campground took top rank. Sooo very well maintained. Yes we noticed that the grounds at our campsite were "freshly raked"/ grass and dirt. The showers and bathrooms were immaculate. Truly enjoyed our stay. Definitely would come back again but for a longer stay. We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice, well maintained campground. There are three loops, and each loop had two camp hosts, all were extremely friendly. After staying at several over-crowded RV parks in CA this was a refreshing change of pace. We love state parks and the privacy we get at the sites compared to RV parks. We were in site B37 at Bullards Beach and it was very woodsy and private. Of course woodsy means mosquitoes, but I still appreciated the seclusion. We were close to the path to the beach which is a 3/4 mile hike. This park is in a beautiful location and even has a lighthouse! We also loved visiting the town of Bandon. The roads around the campground are tight and can be tricky with a big rig, but we were able to do it with a 41 ft 5th wheel. Verizon and AT&T both worked well. We camped at Bullards Beach State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

May26, 27 Bullards Beach State Park, Bandon, Oregon site A20 $33 no discounts Full hookups. This State Park is located in Bandon, Oregon the Cranberry Capitol of Oregon. There are three loops in the park A, B and C. I felt the A loop sites had more privacy. There is a mixture of full hookups and w & e sites spread around the loops. The bathhouses were clean with showers. The campground is three miles to the old lighthouse and beach. It is a nice park where one can fish, put in a boat on the river, horseback ride with your own horse if staying at the horse camp, bike, picnic, go to the beach and visit the historic lighthouse. We were there Memorial Weekend for two nights so it was full on the first night. Pets are welcomed on the beach. The old lighthouse stands where the river and ocean meet and you can walk out on the jetty. This was a great spot to camp and heading into Bandon two miles away with its historic district and scenic drive along the Beach Loop just adds to the experience. We would return to this park!
