Nice new small park. Not a destination, but a good wayside to take a break for a day or more. The campground is next to a nice day use area with a large structure for groups. Campground and day use area is adjacent to a small earth dam and reservoir. Sites are level and gravel. New trees and shrubs planted and will provide privacy and shade as they grow. We would camp here again. We camped at Bates State Park in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $5.00
New park with small trees and new grass areas. Will be a great park in 4 or 5 years. Hiking trails and bike trails. Have picnic area that can handle large numbers of campers. Vault toilets with potable water. Stop and check it out for your next get together. Off US26 Auston Junction to Hwy 7, well marked. We camped at Bates State Park in a Motorhome.
