When we registered, we were told to take anything available. No help whatsoever. The pads were uneven. My biggest gripe is lack of sewer, cable and tv at the campsite. For this amount, one would think these would be included. When we went to the dump site (there were only 2), there was a sign that requested we only dump half of our tank. The site was being over used. Everything looked worn out and not up to date. Wifi was only at the welcome center or some other building, not at the site. This was our second Thousand Trails "Resort". It will be the last. We camped at Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver in a Motorhome.

This is by far, the nicest TT park we have been to. The sites are absolutely huge! Easy navigation with big rig, and we by luck of the draw, picked a site where we got rooftop DTV. AT& T, Vz cell, and Vz mifi worked well. Front office staff a little gruff, but we were here to check out the area and go kayaking, not to make friends. Everyone complaining about the speed bumps, guess you were speeding, cause they didn't bother us at all. And those speed bumps help keep down the dust. Only complaint, no sewer sites, so had to use showers at CG. It was pretty darn cold, and the water was nothing more than luke warm. We made friends with several deer that visited us daily, and a ton of squirrels and chipmunks. Tiny bit of roadnoise, but very quiet at night. We will definitely return. We camped at Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver in a Motorhome.

Close to Sun River and Bend. There is a wonderful bike path starting in Sun River that takes you all the way to Lava Lands. About 20 minutes into Bend. Adjacent to the Scenic Byway.

We ar 1000 Trails members. This is a nice park, but the adult pool was unheated due to an equipment problem. We do not recommend being near heavy traffic roads or the office/store area as the dust can be heavy. They use lava rock for the roads and it crushes to fine dust. They need to water or oil the roads. We camped at Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Sunriver is great for bicycling on paved paths. There's a lot of volcanic sites in the area to visit from LaPine to north of Bend. The park has a kayak run available 2x/week and it was fun; also some tubing.

This is a good park for families (lots to do) and its convenient to a lot of outdoor activities. They have plenty of amenities and lots of activities for the kids. The staff works hard and the people are friendly. But it doesn't get much dustier than this park. During the summer, there is little rain and the interior roads are gravel. Although there are 5mph signs everywhere, people drive too fast and there was a constant fog of dirt in the air during the day. We were there for three weeks and the dust was so bad we rarely sat outside. We will probably not go back because of the dirt. We camped at Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver in a Motorhome.

We are not always fans of Thousand Trails campgrounds, but this one is great! We typically like state parks with large and private sites. This TT park is more like a state park than an RV park and we had a great site that was large and private like we normally get at a state park. The park has nice amenities like tubing down the Little Deschutes river. It's also in a great location for visiting Sunriver and Bend. There is so much to do in this area, I wish we could have stayed longer. Verizon and AT&T both worked very well at this campground. The only downside is no sewer hookups at the campsites. We camped at Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver in a Fifth Wheel.

Tubing in Bend at the Deschutes River was lots of fun (not the same thing as the Little Deschutes at the campground). Newberry National Volcanic Monument is very close by.

Don't come here if: 1. You want to be closer than 25 miles from Bend. 2. You hate dust, dirt, and pine sap on your coach. 3. You need Internet. 4. You need full hookups. 5. You watch TV. This is woodsy camping. No frills. Just dirt, dirt, and more dirt. I should have researched it much better. Unfortunately there are few options in the Bend area. Apparently they don't like RVs here. Very disappointed. We camped at Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver in a Motorhome.

We are not TT members but based on conversations with other RV'ers we wanted to check out this group of campgrounds for future travel.  We will remain non members based on this stay. We made reservations 3 weeks in advance, when we arrived, were told there were no specific site reservations, drive around, find an empty spot, come back and tell us where you are, be sure to put something on your site so no one else will take it before you can get back. We drove a round the campground, it was very full, lots of really large sites occupied by small travel trailers. This is a large campground and we spent almost 45 minutes trying to locate a site we could get into. Only TT members can make a reservation and be assigned a specific site everyone else gets a self guided tour of the park . Very dusty, site was dirt, no gravel.  If you need Internet, full hookups or plan to watch TV it would be better to skip this park. We camped at Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver in a Motorhome.

The spots at this park are very big and privet. It is fairly heavily wooded with pine trees between the spots with forest type undergrowth. It gives the feeling of being in the woods all by yourself. I mean these spots are HUGE! The Verizon service was good enough for us to stream movies no problem. Also despite the trees we were able to get some digital TV channels with our antenna and I did see some of our neighbors using their satellite TV dishes and tailgater dishes. I assume they were not having problems. When we were there the adult pool heater was broken and it was open but not usable. The hot tub was open and hot and very usable. The Kids pool was also open and heated but still a bit cool but definitely not UN-usable. There is also a small children's wading pool in lieu of a hot tub inside the children's pool fence. The showers and bathrooms are very clean and usable which is good since this park has NO spots with sewer hook ups. Only electric and water and a 25 dollar honey wagon witch you sign up and pay for at the store down by the office. There are two dump sights at opposite sides of the resort for those campers that choose to dump their own poop instead of paying the 25 bucks. Water pressure is a bit low but not bad. Electricity was 30 amps and was very usable with no problems. It is a bit of a dusty resort with no paved roads but it is a forest and dust is expected. There is a laundry mat with a good selection of machines and a modest price. Propane seemed to be a bit pricey so I would not fill propane here as there is probably a cheaper spot on your drive to this resort. The resort store is small but very well stocked (probably the best stocked Thousand Trails store I have seen). There is great pickle ball courts, a clean and well managed pool area, a super nice lodge, very nice horse shoe pits and a cafe that serves breakfast for a modest price. The resort while we were there seemed kinda short staffed but well managed! We camped at Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If it is hot go into Bend down by the "Old Mill" district and float the river in a tube, ride your bike, shop, paddle board or kayak, hike or just drink beer at one of the bazillion brewerys. Bend is an outdoor lovers paradise

This campground is one of TT's better campgrounds, in my opinion. Spacious sites, most near level, abundant amenities in satisfactory condition. We were there before high season, the pool wasn't open yet and was pretty nasty looking. The spa could have used a cleaning, too. Staff was very polite and helpful. Much of the campground had flooded in the hard winter, and was still muddy and puddling; therefore closed. We have learned to call ahead and discover conditions prior to going to TT parks to avoid bad surprises. We picked a site near the brand new restroom in E loop, and it had only one toilet and one shower...hmm...in season it will be very crowded. A portable electric heater provided warmth in the very small building. We were able to use our satellite, but it is very site-dependent because most of the sites are heavily wooded. We camped at Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver in a Motorhome.

One of the best Thousand Trails parks were have stayed at, unfortunately the roads are dirt/gravel and we had no sewer hook ups if they paved the roads and added sewer hook ups this would be a 5 star resort we will stay here again regularly. We are not TT members, nor will we be based on this stay. We made reservations 3 months in advance. 38' Class A, 50 amp. We arrived, were told there were no specific reservations (see below). Go drive around, find an empty spot, come back and tell us where you are. We drove around, campground was very full, lots of really large sites occupied by small travel trailers. Only a few sites we could fit in. Mostly 30 amp. We found one 50 amp site, next to bath house, set up, went back to office, told them the site #, they said, oh, you'll have to move to another site tomorrow as that site is reserved starting tomorrow! I said "I thought you said NO RESERVED SITES!?! Oh, not for YOU, only TT members. Very dusty, site was dirt, no gravel, our reservation conf. stated 50 amp, but we ended up being forced to move to 30 amp site. Miniature Golf Course was in a SAD state of disrepair. "Grass" on putting greens deteriorated, or missing. Boundary rails rotted or broken, the putter they gave me was bent. I asked for a straight one, they said, they're all bent! See below for comments on the sewer dump. We camped at Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver in a Motorhome.

As others have reported, this RV Park has some real positives. Sites are big, pretty well separated, nice clubhouse, plenty of activities, and it is close to Sunriver (but not Bend). The biggest issues we had was that they had no sewer hook ups (apparently they have a problem with their sewer lines), only two dump stations (45 minute wait in the morning), no campfires (Ok, understandable) and no internet (except for the clubhouse). Now, these are not deal breakers if you are paying less than $30 for a basic water and electric site, but at $52 a night, they are! Just not a good value for non-members. We camped at Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver in a Truck Camper.

.We've been to AK, East Coast, Western BC Provinces, and all the mid-Western and Western States and have never paid more for so little. All but three sites require backing in on the passenger side. No sewer hook-ups and only 2 dump stations. Dusty, winding roads with speed bumps about every 50 ft. Best thing was, the site we got was almost level. We camped at Thousand Trails - Bend/Sunriver in a Fifth Wheel.
