We stay here when we visit family in the area. It's right on the river with several of the sites right next to it. Most of the sites are occupied with long-term residents, but there are a few for shorter stays. Most of the sites are narrow. It's mostly natural landscaping and very 'Oregon'. They could use a little better maintenance. Our Dish satellite worked fine, but they also offered free cable. Their free Wifi worked fine most of the time. It's fairly quiet, being a block off of the highway, but if you're in a site next to the river you'll get some noise as there are a lot of rapids there. We'll stay again, but only because of family. The rate we quoted is based on the weekly rate. We camped at Hoodoo's Patio RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The nine sites along the river were nice if you can get one. The front section as others have said needs to be bulldozer. Old trailer park that now is an old rv park with permanent trailers. Don't know where the ratings came from on this one. We camped at Hoodoo's Patio RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived very late on a Friday evening. As we were in route the camp host called my cell phone to make sure we were still coming. I thought that was very sweet. She was also in the office to greet us when we showed up. Amazing service! We camped at Hoodoo's Patio RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Check the fire conditions before you head up there! We got all the way up there and the Blue Pool was closed due to fires. :( But the surrounding hikes are amazing!! Definitely worth the drive!

The main attraction is the McKenzie River. The riverfront setting is enchanting. The park itself is a bit "rustic". The river at this spot is unsuitable for fishing as it is rushing rapids. Once in a while river rafters soar by. We camped at Hoodoo's Patio RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

This park is directly on the McKenzie River, we could see and hear the river from our site. Most of the park are seasonal or permanent people. However the 2 rows closest to the River are for short stays. We were in a clear site that allowed us to use our satellite TV. WiFi was slow but strong and steady except for the Saturday when the park was totally full.

The office staff was friendly and helpful. Hours after the office closed we knocked on their RV door to buy some firewood.

The bathroom was small and old, but very clean and warm. the laundry was inexpensive with new machines.

There is a nice 'living room' with movies, big screen TV and a jigsaw puzzle table. We camped at Hoodoo's Patio RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were in site #16, which is RIVERFRONT. The view of the river was SPECTACULAR; however we were hemmed in by the rig behind us. The configuration of the park is such that #16 and #17, with the most spectacular views of the McKenzie River, are unhappily intertwined. If the rig in #16 wanted to leave prior to the rig in site #17, the rig in #17 would have to move to let the rig in #16 leave. What a weird circumstance!!! However, we were here with a group, so it worked for us. It would NOT work for individual campers, who were not together. We did not use any of the park's facilities, so could not rate them. The park advertises "WiFi." Do NOT believe it. We were here 5 days and never were able to get out on the internet. Did not need to deal with park employees, so no rating there. Highly recommend for the gorgeous McKenzie River and surrounding natural, heavily forested beauty. We camped at Hoodoo's Patio RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rated 10 just for our riverfront space. Park is a bit run down and the front of the park needs a bulldozer. Get down to the river-front spaces though and the view and sounds are awesome. No highway noise and friendly folks running the place. Try the skillet for breakfast / lunch. Dinner at nearby Holiday Farms Resort was not great. Will return! We camped at Hoodoo's Patio RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The campground itself was small: didn't have alot of grassy or play areas. There were upper and lower sites: the lower ones all located right on the McKenzie River. Heaven! I've been to better campgrounds but the river and the managers of this one made the a place where I would come back too. They were so nice and helpful in every way as we had some problems on our way down from Washington and the host did everything he could to help us with our problems. His wife was also the best, helpful and nice in every way. I've never met nicer people: even hugged both of them upon leaving. I would stay here again if a river spot was open. There are lots of places outside the campground, in the area to explore and hike around. We camped at Hoodoo's Patio RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We were very pleasantly surprised by this park. Even though it is an older park primarily geared towards long term residents, we were surprised to find most of those sites vacant and most monthly/yearly tennants are all together along the west side of the park. The managers, a retired couple staying there in their RV are without a doubt the nicest hosts I have encountered in years. We arrived late and they were very gracious and got us right into a spot even though my reservation had been lost in cyberspace. The next morning they had us right in a premium riverside site as soon as another rig notified them that they were pulling out. They knew it was our anniversary and wanted us to have a great site. And great it was. Right on the river! Needless to say we left them a nice gift and will definitely stay there again. The park's website does nothing to show the beauty there. The park is well kept and the laundry, showers and community areas and facilities although old, are absolutely spotless and in good order. Neat place! We camped at Hoodoo's Patio RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice country park, well away from the highway, beside a rushing river. All sites are well shaded, some on river bank, some with view of river, others bit further back with carports. Nicely kept grounds, a good place to relax. Its off rte 126 East of Blue River. We camped at Hoodoo's Patio RV Park in a Motorhome.
