This park is on the river, not the ocean. It is about 2 miles from the harbor. Nice park, but a little pricey for what you get. A lot of older full-time RVs in the back area and one very old fifth wheel had to be removed by tow truck while we were there (don't know the circumstances, but think it might have been an eviction). The road into the park is very narrow and downhill, so if you meet another RV coming the other way, you could have issues. Verizon Home Connect phone worked, but not our AT&T cell phones. The bathroom code would only work on the main bathroom so apparently the bathroom by the little cabins is only for their use. It would have been nice to know that. All in all, it was good, but would probably try another park next time just for variety. We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This place has a sleazy little practice when it comes to making a reservation. They require a $50.00 deposit over the phone, of which, they do not inform you that they charge a 3 1/2% fee for the CC transaction. I did not become aware of it, until we got there, and went to pay the balance. And again, they do not say anything about it. There is a paper attached to the desk, and if you do not read it, they wil not tell you. I ended up paying with a check, but had a fee added onto the $50 CC reservation hold.
This is a decent little park. There are very nice views of the river, and the full time residents were quite nice. The park wi fi worked pretty well, but they only give you two codes to access it, so the max you can use on their inet is 2 devices.
We were in a pull through, which, if we would have had a neighbor, and if they had slides, we wouldn't have been able to extend our awning all the way. The spaces were pretty tight.
The other problems we had, other than the CC fee, was the CG host at the end of our row, by the field. They had 2 dogs that barked anytime anyone walked or drove by, and if the owners were gone. Thank goodness we were not around much.
There was a very loud group that lives in the 1st mobile home, that were partying till after midnight, quite loudly, a couple of nights.
Verizon mifi, Verizon phone, and rooftop satellite dish worked fined, but my hubby's AT&T phone was not consistent, so he had to use the Wilson Sleek booster.
I am not sure what other reviewers are talking about in regards to the " noise " across the river. We will most likely not return. We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The office has a book exchange, and you can get mail delivered to the rv park, which is a bonus. We used this park as a base to check out the Redwoods. It works if you have an economical toad.

The person I spoke to on the phone was a bit off putting, while we were making a reservation. Very vague about which site we would have. Not being willing to provide particular campsite, though they have a campground map on the web site. When we arrived the host was very accommodating give us 3 campsite options, escorted us to view each one, we chose 103 for the view. There is constant noise from grading at a rock quarry across the river. Also there were lots of gunfire going on. Don't know if private or a gun range near by?? For river view sites you should know when the tides out there is not much River to see, may be due to the drought this year, not sure. They charge $.25 to use the wide open shower area that has no privacy. Don't think I would stay again. We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Truck Camper.

Nice place, great location. Little bit of noise from the plant across the river but overall it's great. Cell reception is mediocre and the water tastes funky, bring bottled. We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our 3rd stay here and once again we weren't disappointed. Beautiful riverfront space, clean bathrooms & showers, helpful staff. We're staying 2 nights instead of our usual 1 so we can do a little exploring. We will definitely stay here again! We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects a monthly rate of $485. Electric is extra and very high. Ours was $105. Still think they read the meter wrong as I have never paid that much anywhere else, the most we ever paid was $72. Nice park right on the river. We enjoyed the views. Wi-Fi is iffy depending on how many people are in the park. 40 channels on the TV. Clean laundry room, did not like the showers, though. There is no privacy and you have to pay to use, which is ridiculous at a RV Resort. Needless to say, we did not use them. Would probably come back if we got a spot on the river, but they will not guarantee these spots. If you are staying a month make sure you read the meter when you check in. Nice RV Park with a front window view of the Chetco River. Wide spaces both back-in and pull through. Friendly Staff. The road coming into the park is kind of steep, but we managed it well in our 40ft RV. Cute little cabins to rent. Excellent WiFi and plenty of cable TV channels. We had Cell service, also. Far enough from the coast so as not to get the winds and the fog. But close enough to do some sight seeing and lunch. Clean and manicured yards. Nice place and wished we could of stayed longer. We will definitely be back. We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nice park, probably the best in Brookings. Off the beaten path. Quiet, but a gravel plant across the river so a little noise but only during the day. Very quiet for sleeping. The managers were very nice and very accommodating. We got there a day earlier than our reservation and got a spot without any problem. When we saw the park, we liked another site better than the one we had reserved. We asked if we could have that one and the office staff was very obliging, in letting us move with no problem. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a well organized and clean park. They are not kid friendly neither is the owner but the staff were nice. The Wi-Fi is touch and go and they won't accommodate you by letting you use more than one computer per site! They also don't like to take your plastic because of bank fees but they will. The park is a bit noisy in the day as there is a quarry across the river so can hear rocks being dumped and the back up beep beeps of heavy equipment. You can't get to the river from the parking areas because the bank is really steep and high but it is a nice view. Still one of the better parks around We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is probably the nicest park in Brookings, although the section with the permanents is not as nice as the transient section. We had a river view site which was just gorgeous. We saw deer daily and picked wild blackberries. The weather is usually nicer than in downtown Brookings, as the fog will lift sooner. There were problems with the Wi-Fi, and phone reception is poor. Good cable. Excellent staff. We would stay here again. We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects monthly rate plus electric. Park was clean, well maintained and easy for us to maneuver our 40' coach around. We (and our dog) enjoyed the beach. Deer, Otter, Osprey and lots of birds to view. However, there was quite a bit of noise from the road across the river, 2 neighboring gravel pits and a dog across the river that barked all night. We were quite put off by the fact that only one of us could use the WiFi at a time unless we paid extra. Pay showers. Laundry was expensive. However, it was the nicest park we saw in Brookings and would stay there again if in the area. We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects the monthly amount. This is a top-notch first rate park. Friendly staff run this place well and are very accommodating. The utilities are very good, the sites are level and the river is beautiful. It's a five minute drive into town and the harbor, and they are both charming. The complaint about the driveway is nitpicking. Sure, it is one lane and it is steep, but it is far from being a problem. The only thing that might approach being an annoyance is the road across the river is a little noisy. It is about 150 yards away and occasionally you hear a logging truck jake-braking down the slight grade. Road noise has not been a problem for me, I just thought it may be noteworthy to some. Golfers, you'll love Salmon Run. Get the discount card if you're here for long. The migratory fish were not running yet, but the trout were biting. We really enjoy staying at this park. The staff is friendly and it is very quiet here. I'm not sure what the Oct. 2011 reviewer was complaining about. Our Verizon cell phone and air card work flawlessly here. (perhaps they should pay for a better service provider) We fished the Chetco River right here in the park and the owners offer a private boat launch and fishing beach to all guests. Just because you can't catch fish doesn't mean you should give the park a bad rating, sheesh!. The driveway into the park is steep, but it is easily navigable if you are a competent driver. There is ample room, although snug, for two rigs to pass if necessary. There is also a pullout area for any outgoing RV to give way to the incoming RV. All it takes is common sense and courtesy. Perhaps the October reviewer should buy a park model in Arizona. Brookings is a great town to visit during the winter months and we have looked at all the parks in the area. We like this one the best because it is out of town a ways and it's quiet here. We camped at AtRivers Edge RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
