This RV Park is situated in the harbor area of Brookings and is within walking distance to a beach area. It does not overlook the sea. The sites are large and we choose a back in site No 36 which gave us a bit of extra privacy. A cement pad on gravel bit fairly level. It is probably one of the nicest parks between Crescent City and Gold Beach. It is very clean, nice dog walking areas, good laundry $1.25 per load and $1.50 per dryer. Very close to many restaurants further along the road and of course the town center is a ten minute drive i.e Fred Meyers. Picnic tables and a communal deck area are there for your use. Secluded from heavy wind in the back ins. Pull through as are available. Nice friendly office staff and new owners make it all a pleasant place to stay. We would stay again. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed 2 nts in Class A 43' motorhome with tow. Pull thru site was just long enough for RV. Vehicle had to unhook. Paved streets, gravel sites with picnic table. Not all that level, but workable. Tight turn into park from northbound 101 at the office. Helpful owners state they are selling the park, so changes may be on the way. Just enough room to park tow next to RV. Easy walk to restaurants, beach, Boardwalk, seafood market, coffee shops, gift shops. Overall park is nice, but showing its age. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

There are several places to stay in Brookings, and several at the harbor or on the water. The state park is a little cheaper, but limited facilities, The Port's Beach front property sounds good, but you are on a public area with no privacy and any joe blow coming thru the campground all day and night (high probability of theft or damage to your stuff) also very tight spaces. Driftwood RV Park has some tight spaces and some roomy ones. The owner's/ Managers have developed a really nice place here. Little wood deck to socialize on. Gas Fireplaces on them to keep warm. Clean restrooms, Nice Laundry room with reasonable prices, A little cabin/ room for socializing when it is cool out. Great Cable, (my Satellite did not work here but yours might.). Verizon phone service was about 3 bars for me. Also pretty good WIFI, actually better than most. This place is close to everything in the harbor, and Easy to get to shopping, gas, etc. Just have to say again that the ladies that run this place and their staff were just great , Exceeded our expectations 110%. Would stay here again any day. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

This RV park is just across the road from beach access; about a 2 minute walk. The manager was very friendly. We stayed for two nights and would stay again. Sites are very cramped with no grass, but there is a nice area to walk your dog. Wifi was average but other reviews say excellent. My only complaint is that there is nothing much but the beach within walking distance. The few shops at Chetco were mostly closed. You cannot easily walk to Brookings town because you need to cross a large bridge that is not walker-friendly. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

This was a wonderful park on the bay. Within walking distance to the beach and bay side venues. The owners are so nice. The site was spacious and even had a storage shed. We were there for 10 days. Got a weekly discount and then a Good Sam discount for the other three days. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is in a great location right across from the marina. It is not a fancy park, but has a lot of nice amenities. The people are very friendly, they took us around in a golf cart to look at all the available sites before we checked in. We chose the one we wanted, checked in and were still escorted to our site. Each site has a wooden platform that says welcome to Driftwood RV to use as a step into your RV. There are beautiful sunsets visible from the park. The sites are spacious, and the hookups were great. We were in a 40' motor home and had several choices of sites that had plenty of space for our coach and tow car. We would definitely return to this park! We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

The last time we stayed in Brookings, we stayed at Portside, so we decided to give this park a try. We had a very tight, gravel, a bit off level, FHU site with almost 50 channel cable TV. Many sites are satellite friendly, but some may not be. The sewer hookup was unusual. It was a plastic black pipe coming out of the ground and running about 20' toward the front of the site. It then turned upwards so you could hook up to it. At this point, it was 12" above the ground, so there was a sewer drainage vs. gravity issue. The sewer was not like this at every site but I did see it at several sites. If I could have simply attached my hose to where the black pipe came out of the ground, everything would have been fine. So the sewer was impractical from both gravity and position (too far forward in the site) perspectives. The electric was fine, but the water spigot was leaking upon arrival. The whole park is very tight. After we checked in around noon, I saw just about every RV that came in after me have to wait 5-10 minutes for the customer in front of them tried to back in to their site. Upon leaving the next morning, I was blocked from leaving twice by folks hooking up their trailers as their tow vehicles blocked the road. A building in the middle of the park contains the bathrooms and laundry. These facilities were older, but clean. I think there were 3 washers and 3 dryers for $1.50 - $1.75 each. The staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. The only recycling I saw was aa small garbage can labeled "bottles and cans". That's not very clear as to what kind of bottles - glass or plastic? We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Park was convenient to the harbor. WIFI worked extremely well.

Follow your own directions for backing into a site. Gentleman who guided us, and we watched many others, had us backing and pulling forward numerous times to get in to our space.

Our site was basically level, although observed many others that were not. Sites on the far south side would not be roof satellite friendly. We assumed we'd be given a 50 amp because of the size of our rig. Did not think to ask and wound up with 30 amp even though there were 50 available. We could have asked to be moved, but had already set up, when we discovered the mistake. Also, appeared the 50 amp sites were not as level as the one we were assigned. Odd configuration for sewer connections as mentioned in previous reviews.

Appeared to be quite a few long time residents. Price was reasonable, considering the location and what other parks in the area charged. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Brookings is a fairly small town, so most everything is convenient. Fred Meyer gas station is fairly easy to navigate for big rigs with a toad.

Quite a few restaurants and shops at the harbor.

Really nice RV parks with a 5 minute walk to the beach. The staff was extremely friendly at this campsite. Clean, well maintained, and the best WiFi I have yet to encounter. There are over 40 channels of cable TV. Most sites are Directv friendly. We were in a pull-thru which was very spacious. There was a potluck with everybody invited. They escort you to your site and help you park. All of the utilities worked well. There are 4 washers and 4 dryers for $1.50 - $1.75 each. The harbor is just down the road with several restaurants. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I moved to this park after leaving the Beachfront park.

This place is right across the Port road.

I was assigned a small narrow slot (A-7) which was just fine for my truck camper unit.

I do not have a lot of RV park experience and I wonder if it's common to just pack in RV's like sardines in a can?

The bathroom/shower room (men) was awesome.....stunningly clean and even with a heater on a timer.

Wi-Fi was a thousand times better than the Beachfront park I left, just for that reason.

Office staff very friendly and helpful.

Even in the middle of summer (August) it was COLD and often foggy with everything outside being dripping wet come morning.

I was escaping the heat of Las Vegas and Brookings did the trick. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Truck Camper.

The staff was extremely friendly at this campsite, which is located very close to the harbor. Mostly back ins on an elongated paved loop, but a few pull throughs in the middle. The spaces are gravel, cable TV and WiFi were good. Surprisingly peaceful with hardly any noticeable traffic or ocean noise. Pet friendly, the campsite was clean and tidy. We didn't use the restrooms or laundry facility, but they appeared to be functional and clean. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

The beach is less than a 5 minute walk at a strolling pace, and the harbor area has some excellent seafood restaurants. 'Sporthaven' has the best Fish 'n' Chips for miles around.

Clean, well-maintained, quiet, but no personality. The usual cement slabs. Friendly, helpful front desk. Pet friendly, also. Did not see any children. No playground. They were having a potluck, with all RVers invited, which was a nice touch. Across the street from parking lot, restaurant, motel, another RV park and the beach. A nice place to stay for a brief visit on the way up and down Hwy 101. Would stay here again. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. The park was packed as to be expected. The restrooms are a bit rundown but clean. Utilities worked fine but pull throughs are narrow. It was quiet at night. We had a good time here. We camped at Driftwood RV Park in a Motorhome.
