A thoroughly pleasant park. Its small and about 1/3 of the sites are filled with longterm residents. The best thing about the park is the extremely pleasant and knowledgeable staff. The park is right by the Chetco river and has a large grassy, treed area with benches, horseshoes, and a walkway right overlooking the river. We spent some time sitting in a comfortable glider watching the Pelicans dive for fish and the gulls attempt to steal the catch. The host sent us to a redwood grove one wouldn.t find without help. it was beautiful. Brookings is convenient to the Calif. Redwood parks without being in Calif. She also directed us to a good pizza place and a fun, challenging golf course. The long term residents were fun, happy and welcoming, we even were given fresh rockfish cooked to perfection. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice and clean park in a beautiful location on the North bank of the Chetco River. Well landscaped with native trees and plants. Close to Brookings, Ore, but in a country setting. Entrance goes down a steep hill, but we didn't have any trouble. They are almost always full so book ahead. We had to stay in the overflow, but still had full hookups with cable and wifi. Their showers are heated. There is a small park down by the river where you can sit and watch sea lions and otters fish. People fish there too. I would recommend this park. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tiny little park on the North bank of the Chetco River. Lovely landscape with broad expanses of lawns and flowering plants. Be aware that access to the park is via a very steep one way drive. Narrow roads and many permanent homes. Owners were very helpful and friendly. All facilities (restroom and showers) were spotless. Not very dog friendly as to where they can go is very limited and of course must be leashed. There is a small fenced in pet area (20x20 approx). We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Very friendly staff, good WiFi and basic cable. Gravel lots, fairly level. Did find the travel lanes in the park relatively narrow to drive down but basically no problem with our RV. Would stay here again. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

First of all the name of the park is now Riverside RV Resort, which is certainly a "misnomer ". It is not a resort, but a cute little park that has mostly long term and seasonal residents, very clean, neat and quiet. We were able to get the only available river view site, but only for one night. The other 5 had double wides or trailers. That being said we were still happy, enjoyed our view of the garden and river. Hookups were well placed and it was very quiet. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is small, safe, very clean and well maintained, campsite, nestled on the Chetco river in Brookings, with friendly, helpful staff. Very quiet. TV channel selection was standard fare, as was the WiFi. Small off-leash fenced dog area - but Azalea Park is less than 5 minute on foot for a longer dog/people walk. Driveway is steep and narrow and somewhat intimidating, but it does level out to a good one way system. The sites are concrete/gravel and very close together/tight - we were guided in by a lovely, chatty staff member and that was very helpful. A cement pad housed the picnic table. The river access is a small boat ramp (presumably for small craft/kayaks), there didn't appear to be any river bank trails here, which was disappointing as that was one of the reasons we choose a river based park. Decent lawn area by river's edge (no dogs allowed) surrounded by more permanent mobile homes. You can walk to town (1+ miles) or the harbor (1 mile). If there was more room to the sites and less of a cramped, claustrophobic feel this would be a great Brookings park, but for us personally we prefer a bit more room. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

A small, nice park on the Chetco river. The manager was very firendly and helped us to our site. We opted for a riverfront site. A nice feature of these sites is they have hookups on both sides so you can pull or back in. The utilities worked well. The wifi in off hours worked well but after about 8:00 a.m., it slowed to a crawl. Cable TV required a loaner box be connected to the back of our TV, so we didn't bother. We have DVD's and there is a Redbox closeby at Fred Meyers. The driveway leading into the park is steep and one line wide and the interior roads are tight. We have a 36' MH and we were able to maneuver ok. 40' + might have problems. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Small park right on river. Most sites are to small for our 43 foot motorhome, but pull in river sites are adequate. Not much room to manuever especially when cars are parked. View of the river is great and staff was very friendly. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

You are close to Gold Beach and the mail boat rides which is fun. We ate at the Blue Wave Café near the marina and it was outstanding. You can park at the Beachfront RV and walk the beach and watch surfers.

We have stayed here before and received the same great greeting as before. Owners/managers are more than helpful. We were given a space with a view of the river to enjoy. Only complaint is they have had to go to new system for their cable and they were never able to get it to work for us. They apologized and called the cable company, who never showed up in our three days there. Not the park's fault. the bathrooms, which we didn't need to use, were cleans, but the separate shower which we didn't need either, appeared rather old. Our rate reflects Good Sam rate and "stay two and get the third night free". We will definitely stay again, when in the area. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

I almost hate to write a glowing review about this place because I want to keep it all to myself. It is a little piece of paradise on the Chetco River. The people are wonderful. The restrooms are very clean, as are the showers. Brookings is a great little town. We loved it here, have returned since our first visit and have plans to return again. Friendliest park ever! The owner, staff, and residents were all extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in site #2 which faced the grassy area and river and enjoyed watching the deer in the evenings. This park was smaller than I expected and a bit crowded, but we managed OK with our 40' RV. We would return to this park if we were in the area again. The Town of Brookings was just the kind of town we would like to live in. We ate near the wharf at a restaurant called Blue Water. The food was so good, we went back the next day, too! We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Riverside campground was a little smaller than we expected, so big rigs need to be a little careful getting in & out. This was the only negative! Everything was well maintained and clean, especially the bathrooms and separate shower building. We had Site #2, on the river, with a beautiful lawn in front of us. The apple trees growing there were a banquet for the 4 or more young buck deer that gathered there twice a day. The owners & the office manager were super friendly, as were some semi-permanent campers. Makes us want to "join the group" for part of the year. This August the weather was about 62 and beautiful, while elsewhere it was in the 90-100's. Right off Hwy. 101 and near the lovely Azalea Garden city park and town of Brookings, which has loads to see and do. We belong to the Elks and met nice folks at their Lodge one evening. We highly recommend this little jewel of an RV park. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice little park with quite a few long term guests. This was not a problem. Everything was well maintained and clean. Host (owner) was very friendly and helpful. Cable TV and Wi-Fi worked great. Hill on entrance was a little disconcerting, but not a problem. Be very careful leaving with rig, as the entrance/exit is on a curve. Need good "shotgun" viewer. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.
