This is our second time in this park having traveled through Burns last spring. We really enjoy this privately-owned park for its friendly management, good maintenance, and large pull throughs for big rigs. Any size RV with tow could fit into the long, back row sites without unhooking. The park is closing for the season after tonight (Nov. 11) and will reopen on March 1. The owner told us this afternoon that they will be taking reservations throughout the winter. This area is very popular with travelers visiting SE Oregon and the Malheur Refuge, so definitely call for reservations. Verizon cell and MiFi had a strong signal. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

We highly recommend Gourmet & Gadgets, a wonderful kitchen shop at 340 N Broadway. The Big R Store, 13115 Hwy 20, in Hines has RV supplies.

The only reason I didn't give this park a 5 star is because the sites are packed gravel. But the pads are level, long, easy in and out, wide interior roads, and the spaces are wide. We stayed in Nov so the grass was in hibernation, but looks well cared for. The cable TV is readily available. There are a number of long pull thrus that are big rig friendly. We will stay at this park again when we pass thru the area. All the picnic tables have a concrete pad. Each site has solar powered lights. There are at least 3 or 4 dog walk areas with waste bags. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

When reviewing RV parks I think it is important to rate the park based on parks in similar locations and what they advertise. This park is 5 star for what it is. Yes it is older but it is well kept and well maintained with fabulously helpful and friendly management. No they don't have a pool, spa or workout room but they don't advertise that they have. The layout is a bit funky - sites face in odd directions and fit in where they can. The utilities all work well and the sites are level and plenty big enough. The restrooms are old and small but clean and well kept. The cable TV worked well but we used our Satellite which got signal easily. The Wi-Fi was great but my Verizon 4G data wasn't very strong. The town has a Safeway, a Rite Aid, and some decent restaurants. This is the only real RV Park with FHU for many, many miles in any direction. We'd stay again. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

One of my favorite parks this summer. We had a long, level pull through gravel site located under a couple of trees. Good spacing between sites. No problem getting Direct TV. WIFI was adequate, power and water were good. Wide interior roads. The very friendly new owners have had this park for two years and are making many improvements. The office has a nice supply of Oregon beer and wine, and the owners are happy to give you suggestions for dinner and attractions in the area such as good paces to rockhound. In addition to RV sites they have three teepees which look brand new and two dry cabins. Laundry and restrooms will be added next year. Dry camping available in overflow. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

Site "59" an overflow site not on the map. $32, 30 amp and water. No reservation. Didn't realize that this park is full every night year round because they are essentially the only game in town for many miles in either direction. Make a reservation! Great park, immaculately kept by very genial hands-on owners. All sites (except 59) are fresh gravel with ample separation. Most are partially shaded, some are not. Cable picture was poor but probably just our connection, didn't try Wifi or use the showers or laundry. Good ATT data. Easy in/out, bargain propane. Decent dog walking. More to Burns than we realized, but this isn't a destination park; most sites turn over every day. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice RV Park with easy access from Highway 20, just outside the town of Burns, Oregon. There was considerable highway noise during the daytime, but nights were very quiet. Park was clean with nice level gravel based sites long enough for trailer and tow vehicle. This park makes a good base from which one can explore the Malheur Wildlife area and the Steens Mountains. We spent three nights here exploring the Malheur Wildlife area and the northern part of the Steens on one day and then exploring the Southern Steens all the way to Frenchglen the second day. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Go see the Historic Pete French Round Barn and its nearby Visitor's Center. It has a very interesting history and is quite unique. Be sure to explore the nearby almost ghost town (Population 5) of Diamond, OR and perhaps schedule an evening meal at the Diamond hotel.

Good for overnight. This is an older, basic park just off of OR-20. There is road noise during the day, but it is pretty quiet at night. We had a back-in gravel site that barely fit our 32 ft. fiver and truck. The site was not level from side to side, but easily remedied with risers. The restrooms were old, but ok. Did not use the shower. There is an area to walk dogs at the back of the park. We will stay again in a couple of weeks on our way home. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Small campground right on US 20 at east end of town, very convenient, but does have road noise (not too bad at night). Very nice staff, small office has a few tasty treats & souvenirs, tourist info, even a book exchange. We had requested a site with PM shade when we made our reservation, and got it. Sites are open to each other (not much privacy) and the bathrooms are definitely old, but they are very clean. They are a bit of a walk from much of the campground. Laundry older, but the machines worked well and were clean; located by the bathrooms. A great overnighter. Gravel pads are well kept; some use of leveling boards may be needed. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Roads in the campground are very wide and easy to navigate, but getting to one's site can be a bit tricky - definitely follow the signs upon entry about where to park when checking in, and follow their instructions on getting to your site.

This is a delightful park owned a very nice couple. We were lucking enough to have one of their best pull-through sites, #53, and it was great for an over-night and would have been nice for several days if we had wished. Our site was ~100 feet long and twice the width of sites at most commercial parks. The park has mature trees that might block satellite signals on some sites but we were fine on ours with our rooftop Trav'ler. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

I received a warm and friendly check-in. They do offer Good Sam discounts. I chose to disconnect from my trailer, but did not really have to. There was room for my 30' trailer and truck. The campground has plenty of trees, but my site was shaded only in the afternoon. This site is about 100 yards from the road but I didn't notice any noise during the day with the AC running, or even at night when the AC was off. A few other sites are much closer to the road. My sewer connection included a recessed, threaded connection below ground level, but it was a bit too small for my threaded 'elbow' sewer connector. I was able to use a rock to secure my connector into the above ground part of sewer pipe. This worked fine. No issues with power. This site only has 30A. I stayed here for 2 nights and would stay here again if I come through this area. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is very pretty and VERY busy park just off Hwy 20 outside of Burns! We got an awesome spot on the edge of the park with natural canopy of trees and enjoyed natural shade for the entire week we stayed there. Showers and bathrooms are clean, nice laundry room. Ladies bathroom have 2 stalls but men's have only one, so you'll have to wait during busy times. There are a couple of full timers in the park, otherwise most of the people as we observed stay for 1 night and then leave - interesting to see how the park can be almost completely empty in the morning and jampacked at night, including tents on the grassy areas and a couple of cabins. They are pretty stringent about 11 am check out and charge $10 for each additional hour. Despite the park being next to the highway, the noise levels are negligible and the park is very quiet at night even at full occupancy. Cellular connection and internet were kinda spotty. Overall it's an enjoyable and cozy park, we liked it! We camped at Burns RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
