We stayed here a few years back and it was OK but since then the new owners have really made some great improvements. It's a fine place to stay. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small, family run park. The park has been laid out to make maximum use of space. A few sites are what I would consider close. The staff is very friendly and helpful and suggested a local restaurant for dinner. Overall, this was a very good place to stop when crossing Oregon west to east or back on route 20. Looks like they fill up early so it might be worth making reservations to be sure to have a spot. We camped here in a Motorhome. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

A very well maintained park and the last row of pull-thru sites is exceptional. Extra long, level gravel, and ample shade with table and convenient hookups. Easy access to highway. Cable TV was very good analog, no OTA, and ask for a satellite-friendly site. WiFi was fair with a full park, and Verizon cell/data was strong. Quiet and dark at night with little road noise. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

This campground is real easy to find right off the highway. Check-in was quick and easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. Interior roads are gravel and easy to navigate. There were very few full-time sites mostly transients. Parking was easy. Sites are gravel and pretty level. Full hookups were well located and worked as expected. CATV worked well. Verision had 3 bars. WIFI sucked and was not usable. This is a nice campground for short term stays. We'd stay here again. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fantastic, small, spacious Campground in a remote part or eastern Oregon. We were traveling in our 45' motorhome, towing a pickup truck. They had spacious pull- thru that we did not have to unhook. Easy in and out. Kind people and guests. Only stayed one night. Not much to see in the area but this was a Perfect passing thru spot! Would definitely stay again, even more nights. Very comfortable, level, spacious, easy. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

Not a great park, but it is in a strategic location with not much competition, so we'd stay there again. When connecting sewer, they have two dump ports per site. I didn't know which one to use, but the front desk said to use either one. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you're coming in from the west and need gas, go ahead and get it at the Sinclair, Chevron or Shell station. Once you've passed them, there isn't much opportunity to gas up (another station is in town, but trying to get a big coach in would be difficult).

Our visit was a 1-nighter, in-and-out. First Impression: Neat and tidy - nice roadside presentation. Safety: No concerns. Access: North out of Bend on Broadway (US-20) which becomes Seneca Drive. Turn right just "around the curve". Municipal road in good condition, good signage, Garmin GPS is accurate. Office: Friendly staff, token store with snacks, wine, beer, coffee, but no RV equipment items. Credit cards accepted. Online reservations not available. Good Sam and military discounts. Facilities: No pool, spa, fitness room or rec center. Laundry room. Wife reports restrooms/showers as "usable". Propane sales. No playground. No off-leash dog run. Campground: Not in a flood plain. No storm shelter. Moderately wooded. Interior roads are crushed gravel (lava rock) in good condition with gentle turns and no overhead obstacles. Big rig and long coach friendly. Prevosts shouldn't have problems. No tent area, yurts, or cabins. Sites are all very spacious, sufficiently level, crushed rock, mostly pull-through, nice grass landscaping. Utilities at mid-site with 20/30/50 electric; no meters. Low water pressure with acceptable taste. Sewer pipe is 4" threaded, about 6" above ground level. Small concrete patios with good picnic tables. Open fires not permitted; no fire rings. Marginal satellite views (tall trees). Free cable TV (24 channels). Free Wi-Fi with poor coverage (1 bar away from office; pages won't load). Verizon phone at 5 bars; 4G at 4 bars. Recycle aluminum cans, only. Noise: No railroad, aircraft, or interstate noise but local traffic on Seneca Drive is noticeable. Bug Report (mid September): no insects noted. Runners: Gravel CG roads not recommended for running. Yoga: patios are plenty big enough for your mat but you'll have to move the picnic table. Conclusion: Score 6-Nice. Just a smidge too expensive for no "extras". We camped at Burns RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Not much in Burns, OR. A few local restaurants, some shops. Didn't see a hardware store and no RV dealers or service. No national restaurant chains. McDonalds and Subway. No Wal-Mart. Safeway grocery. Diesel at $3.059 at the Shell station. Local banks and a credit union.

Stayed here for 2 nights traveling from Idaho to Lakeview, OR. Easy to find, level, very nice owners. All utilities worked as they should. LOTS of quail - fun to watch. Would stay again when in area. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Burns is a ranching town and has most everything a person could want. Check out Big R for hardware, automotive, clothing, a few RV supplies and a nice big store to wander around. RV park can get packed full during their busy times but everyone is still able to navigate in/out.

A small family park with very helpful owners and staff. Many of the sites were tight and smaller than other parks but there are a lot of trees and plenty of shade. The cable TV only had 20 channels but all were very clear. Wifi was slow at times and depending on load, disconnected. Best time to use it was early morning. Toilets and showers could use upgrading but were kept clean and serviceable. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice enough park with good electric and water quality, FHU sites. Sites fairly small and gravel. We just spent one night. They offered cable but not many good stations came with it. No rec hall or pool. No dog park so we had to walk in the city for our exercise. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a somewhat small, family run park. While small, they have it arranged to very effectively use the space. Some of the sites can be a bit "close" but they help you park and seem to be very effective at using the space. The staff is very friendly and helpful and suggest a local pizza place that delivered VERY GOOD pizza to our site. Overall, this was a very good place to stop. Looks like they fill up early so it might be worth making reservations to be sure to have a spot. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

I made our reservation six months in advance due to the location of this park on our route to Yellowstone. I'm glad I did because we saw nothing else after leaving Corvallis, OR. If you are traveling that way, I recommend a reservation (even same day) because it's the only game in town. We were pleasantly surprised at the amenities of this park. The staff are friendly and helpful, even giving us fresh, homemade sorbet samples when we checked in. The little store offers groceries, a book exchange, and a nice selection of wine. We had a long, shaded pull-through site near the back with full hook-ups and a big, open field with a small creek behind us. Our dog enjoyed that area and the deer that frequented the field. The highlight of our one-night stay was the courtyard with the games. We played ladder toss and cornhole until it got dark. They also have badminton and other games. Other reviewers mentioned mosquitoes, but we only saw them near the creek. We didn't have issues at our site, the courtyard, or other areas. The park is sometimes difficult to reach by phone because of some glitch. I had better luck with their email address, burnsrvpark@yahoo.com. They are responsive, but allow a few hours for a reply. Don't waste your time with the 800 number as it went to another business every time I called it, though the park swears the number is theirs. You might fare better with their local number: (541) 573-7640.

Be sure to check out the courtyard behind the office for all the yard games. It is not easily visible from the sites. Sitting by the creek at the back of the property is relaxing but use bug spray near the water. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

The park has pull-throughs and back-ins some to the sites are small but most are big enough for any size RV. The roads are all gravel an easy to maneuver. The office has a store with limited items. The owners are very nice and helpful. Overall a good place to stay in the area, the only negative is the mosquitoes are terrible, but this is not the parks fault it just the area.
