This is very pretty and VERY busy park just off Hwy 20 outside of Burns! We got an awesome spot on the edge of the park with natural canopy of trees and enjoyed natural shade for the entire week we stayed there. Showers and bathrooms are clean, nice laundry room. Ladies bathroom have 2 stalls but men's have only one, so you'll have to wait during busy times. There are a couple of full timers in the park, otherwise most of the people as we observed stay for 1 night and then leave - interesting to see how the park can be almost completely empty in the morning and jampacked at night, including tents on the grassy areas and a couple of cabins. They are pretty stringent about 11 am check out and charge $10 for each additional hour. Despite the park being next to the highway, the noise levels are negligible and the park is very quiet at night even at full occupancy. Cellular connection and internet were kinda spotty. Overall it's an enjoyable and cozy park, we liked it! We camped at Burns RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Pros: The park is clean. We had a nice grassy area outside of our door and a nice picnic table as well. It is a good stopping off place that is close to the small town of Burns. Cons: There really wasn't much to do at the park. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wish I could join the other glowing reviews about this park, but from our experience it would simply not be correct, by virtue of the very erratic power voltage. Our electrical management system repeatedly shut down our power due to very low voltage, thereby protecting our appliances from catastrophic damage. Ultimately, we gave up on 50 amp service and switched to 30 amp. We still were not able to operate our air conditioner on a regular basis due to low voltage. Also, the park is located on a very busy, noisy US highway. Noise does abate at night. All the other things previous reviewers have stated is correct: nice owners, plenty of shade, sites fairly level, etc. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We've stayed in this park before. We like the large trees, grassy areas, and friendly staff. The park was quiet at night and sites were roomy. WiFi was good and cable was available. We had no problem with water pressure or electric (30 amp). Every time we stay here we feel safe and enjoy the prettiness of the area. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The Park has 55 sites with various site lengths. Exceptionally clean, manicured lawns, pleasant environment. Owners on site and very friendly and helpful about dinner options. Loved the new large pull through sites in the back area for large motor homes. We didn't have to unhook our toad, which is a nice feature. This was our second time here and we wish we could find this type of RV park more often. We don't need a pool or other recreation options, just a clean, safe and nice place to spend the night and this one has it all. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here 4 times now and each stay has been excellent. they have a very nice quiet park with lots of large trees. The sites are well graveled with well maintained grass areas in between. The owners are very friendly and helpful with lots of information about the local area. They are right on US Hwy 20, but we have rarely been disturbed by traffic noise since it is not a busy highway, especially at night. The only negative thing we could say is the restrooms and showers desperately need an upgrade, but they are very clean. We will always stay here on our travels through this area. Burns has a first class historical museum that we enjoyed very much. The Malheur Wildlife Refuge is not too far away and is well worth a day trip to visit.

Very nice family run park. Wide gravel roads with plenty of space on gravel parking pad. Concrete pad for picnic table and wide grassy area between sites. Most have mature shade trees. Grass is well maintained and several sites have large seasonal flower pots. Utilities were easy to access. Free WiFi is slow. Free cable is nice. Located right on a highway, but there was little traffic after 9 p.m. and it didn't increase in the morning until after 7 a.m. Dogs are welcome and there is a large mowed area for them to enjoy. Its fenced on two sides and they are supposed to remain on leash. Mine "escaped" and had a good romp as did several others. Be smart and don't abuse and you shouldn't have any problems. Really a nicely managed and maintained park. We will return! We camped at Burns RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is not a bad park overall, and good for a one-night stay while traveling US395. Two complaints: The men's shower and restroom were the worst I have seen in 10 years of RVing. It is small and not very clean. I emailed the owner about his, and he replied that they were working on improving the facilities. Also, the circuit boxes for at least some of the sites are hung high off the ground (~5 feet) on a pole. We use a surge protector, and all the heavy cord hanging below it caused the plug to pull out of the box. I had to secure it with a bungee. This park is very quiet at night. We would stay here again. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a lovely park on the East end of Burns. There's a mix of pull through and back in sites. The back row pull through sites will hold the longest of rigs with tows without unhooking. There's a concrete patio with picnic table, a nice green space between rigs, and a large shade tree between most sites. Roadways and sites are gravel. There's a small store in the office that carries Oregon wines, and during the season, has espresso drinks and pastries. Owners are very friendly and have lots of information on the area. Many travelers use this as there base for exploring Malheur Refuge and the surrounding area. Make reservations! The park filled up most every night during our three day stay. Tips for other Campers:

There's so much to see and do here. Take the time to drive out to Malheur Wildlife Refuge; the museum is very informative. Gourmet and Gadgets is a great kitchen shop - one of the best we've seen in all our travels (340 N. Broadway). Bella Java, 314 N. Broadway, works great for a coffee/tea/lunch break. El Toreo, 239 N. Broadway, for a good Mexican restaurant. There are many geocaches in the area, including a night caching one in the cemetery.

Owner is really plugged into his park, and his pride shows. We saw 3 new foundations for TeePees in his development plan. A few long-termers, in almost a separate section of the park. We intended to stay a couple of days, but extended for a couple more after our initial experience. Large unfenced pet area, where even though you are required to keep your pet on the leash all the time, my Aussie kept "getting loose" and chasing a ball with no complaints. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A Safeway a couple of miles away. Typical small town offerings - everything you need is available. Lots of off-road adventures nearby - want to collect obsidian? Head north on National Forest Road #47 (south through Hines on 20, on the right just after a truck stop); take Radar Road to right, then Skull Creek Road to the left - you now have ~20 miles of dirt road with great quantities of various quality obsidian.

This is a small, family run park. The park has been laid out to make maximum use of space. A few sites are what I would consider close. The staff is very friendly and helpful and suggested a local restaurant for dinner. Overall, this was a very good place to stop when crossing Oregon west to east or back on route 20. Looks like they fill up early so it might be worth making reservations to be sure to have a spot. We camped here in a Motorhome. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Motorhome.
