Excellent Southern Oregon Park. Very friendly office staff. The trees and bushes are growing up very nicely. I had planned to stay 2 nights but the smokey air was so bad we left a day early. This park is 7 hours from Sacramento so a perfect days drive for us. We camped at Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park) in a Motorhome.

We arrived unfortunately during the fires so we decided to stay only one night. We had reserved 3 but were told everywhere we wanted to go had a fire so there was no point in staying longer. Visibility was terrible. The staff when we checked in was very sympathetic and we were told our next two nights would be cheerfully refunded; which they did. The sites were clean, new and nicely maintained. The restrooms were clean. We didn't take in much else because the fires had almost burned to their property liens. We camped at Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The signage is a bit tricky into the park because it's part of the fairgrounds. GPS doesn't actually get you into the driveway but be patient and you'll get there.

Overall Rating:

Park is next door to the fair grounds Park will NOT accept mail or packages for RVers. This is a beautfiul park right on Bear Creek with a nice big pond. Very well lined up with nose and tail of the RV facing East and West. Park was built in 2017 so trees are small but each site has large grass area on each side and beautiful landscaping. Access of Hiway 5 was easy and entrance to park is by gate 5 of the fairgrounds. Park is close to Hiway 5 and an airport but not too much noise from either one RV pads are black top and level. Sites are very wide so no problem with big rigs opening slides and awnings. The electrical utility box (20/30/50 amp) and water are located in the middle and the sewer connection situated at the back of the site. The voltage was good - hovering around 120 volts. The premium sites are the back-in rather than the pull-thrus. Each site had a concrete patio with a picnic table and a fire ring. Free WiFi that actually worked. Verizon air card and cell phone reception was good. There is a dog run and 2 fishing lagoons. The street lamps do a good job of lighting the roads around the campground. There are no bugs in July. We will definitely return to this park. We camped at Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Located north of Medford at the county fairgrounds this park is by far the best in the Medford-Ashland area. It's a relatively new park so the trees have yet to mature so there is no shade which will improve in years to come. Access is good right off I-5 with a Pilot-FJ at the exit. Did not us use WI-FI, or bathrooms. Sites were large enough for our MH and toad. Services and restaurants were nearby. The park was well cared for with maintenance and staff very friendly. Two lakes with fishermen were right out our windows. Crater Lake less than two hours away. We camped at Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park) in a Motorhome.

This could almost be a perfect park. No cable TV and laundry room has ONLY two washers and two dryers and that is why I gave it an 8. Not enough for 92 spaces. Had to find laundromat in town. The best thing is NO permanent or long term residents. 14 day maximum stay in any 30 day period. I felt rate was too high for amenities offered. This park is new and well laid out. Freeway noise barely detectable from our space. We camped at Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park) in a Travel Trailer.

This is more money than we like to spend on campground fees, but with it being only one mile from our friends' house, we took a chance. This is a full-timers dream stop-over. Easy to navigate, level asphalt sites, great wifi (our site was close to the office), beautiful landscaping, and a big dog park with lots of room for the pups to run. Verizon worked very well, but we were able to get by using the wifi for our week-long stay, and didn't need to use any data. Our site had its own patio and yard with nice landscaping, which the kids and dogs enjoyed. Very laid-back environment, people fishing in the two ponds. We saw ducks and turtles and just really enjoyed our stay. Wanted to pass along the info! We have a 36 ft. 5th wheel. We camped at Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is very nice, but for what is offered and the area, it is over priced. We have paid as much in California, but those parks had pools and sites were fairly level, not the case here. Also the road noise is quite noticeable. Had some problems checking in because people who were suppose to have moved, were at an event at the Expo Center and hadn't left the sites by 2:00 pm. Made for problems with others coming in. With a motorhome get sites in the D-H rows which are better because they slope towards the front. Our site sloped towards the rear and we don't like to have our tires off the ground. Just barely made it without having to put blocks under the tires. People at the desk don't understand the difference between trailer and motorhome in terms of front to back slopes. We camped at Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Nice area. Good golf nearby, try Eagle Point and Centennial. 20 mile bike trail along a stream just outside of the RV Park. Central Point is a nice little town with a couple good restaurants.

Nice new park but very little shade. As the planted trees mature this will change. We heard the freeway at night but it was not bad. Was a good spot for 1 night while driving back from California. My dump connection on my C RV was barely higher than the sewer connection on the site I was assigned but made it work. Bear Creek bike path is very close and we will use it next time if we stay more than overnight. We camped at Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park) in a Motorhome.

Newer park next to the fairgrounds. Easy of & on I-5, good utilities, good Verizon signal, close to freeway but not to noisy, friendly staff, a little high for what you get, ok sized site's, a couple fishing ponds, right by a nice walking and bike trail, sites are pretty level but not perfect and they are angled so you are not just looking at your neighbor. This is a very nice RV Park. A little expensive, considerng no cable TV and weak Wifi. But nice grounds. RV pads are black top and not exactly level. Most folks have to level side-to-side and bring the front way up. Roads are easy. Overall a nice setting and great for a short stop. On our way home to California in our new motorhome, we decided to try a new to us R V Park. Friendly office person, clean park. Costco gas is just 2 miles away and Flying J is just across the street from the entrance. Turning left out of Costco is a little scary so just be patient. Great Dog area with furnished pick up bags. This park looks new- No trees but grass in between the sites. 60' std pull thru or 75' back in sites that are level and grass in between them. Restrooms were spotless! Saw quite a few folks fishing in the ponds. We had trouble finding the entrance, it's by gate 5 of the fairgrounds. Easy on/off Hiway 5, but not too much noise. Great place to stay over night on the way home. We would stay here again. We camped at Southern Oregon RV Park (Jackson County Park) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you go to Ashland, watch the parking time limits. They are really zealous with ticketing. Got a parking ticket (which I begrudgingly deserved for parking longer than 2 hours); went across street to pay the $22 and had another on my windshield when I got back! Had to send in a request in hopes to have it dropped.
