Small county park at the Corvallis fairgrounds. We there visiting friends in area. Pull through with full hook ups, cable, WiFi. If I was to return I'd ask for space backing up to large green field or the trees area. Saturday Farmer's Market which was nice. Would not return unless I was visiting friends. We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park - with friendly staff. I was in the corner (A-1) which was perfect - not quite level but livable w/o any adjusting/levelers - all part pf the plan to see the Eclipse and the park filled to the gills for THAT event. The park is part of the county fairgrounds (the fair had ended a couple weeks before I arrived). The bath house was fine as was the laundry. Of course being fairgrounds it was out of town but not so far as to be considered "remote" . Next door to a older (a little tired) MHP but no concerns there. Would return for sure. We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We chose a back-in site because those are near the wooded area and have more space between sites than the pull-through area. There were many mature trees in that section and a lot of space for our dog to explore. Our site was on the end of our row, nearest to the corral at the adjacent fairgrounds, so we did have sun on one side, unlike the interior sites. There was a rodeo that weekend at the fairgrounds. The arena is far enough from the campground to not be an annoyance but close enough to walk if you'd like some entertainment. The park has a rustic, campground feel while still being convenient to the city. We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a running and bike trail on the road outside the park and a little grocery store within walking distance. Check out Sky High Brewing on 4th Street for great food, beer, and mixed drinks and cornhole on the roof. Alsea Falls is only 25 miles away and well worth the trip, and the nearby wineries are picturesque.

Good place for an overnighter or two, but not the kind of place we'd want to stay long term... nor would we consider it a destination park. It has a definite "campground" like feel with its large, mature trees and grass between sites. The park is colocated with the fairgrounds, so it could get noisy and busy if something is going on there. During our visit we observed 122 volts AC and 40 psi water pressure. Both AT&T and Verizon had adequate LTE cellular signals, but for some reason AT&T data was extremely slow while Verizon was blazing fast. As far as I can tell, there's no free WiFi available here so you're on your own. We'd definitely stay here again if it fit our travel schedule, but sure wouldn't go out of our way. We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I would echo the previous review except found the concrete shower building rustic but clean. My shower was good enough. I liked the staggering of the full hookup sites. The camp host was very friendly. She did say the park is unavailable part of the summer so phone ahead. Wifi and cable were great! Watch out for a low railway bridge on 53rd. We went left at the roundabout and avoided it! We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Bicycling/walking/hiking paths both into town and to Bald Hill Park accessible from the park. Interesting events were going on in the adjacent Fairground buildings.

About the only game in town. We stayed here while visiting relatives. On the plus side the campground was relatively clean and quiet and had easy access to some nice walking paths. The campground host was friendly and easy going. On the negative side, the bathrooms were located in concrete block buildings with concrete floors and no heat. Cold at this time of the year! The showers have those atomizing, flow restricting shower-heads that result in hot water near your head, warm water at your shoulders and cold water from there on down. I only took one shower and then used our trailer's shower. This is an OK plae to stay but seems over-priced for what you get. We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed for a week while visiting friends. Camp Host was a no show. Had to call the Expo office to find out the procedure for check-in. Parked in overflow, so water and power only. Overflow is on the main road into the full hook up sites and very dusty until it rained then it was muddy. Large oak trees one had fallen across one of the interior roads. Large oak limbs hanging over dump station and several other roads. Actually saw a limb break off and fall. Had we been asked to park any closer to the trees it would have been a deal breaker. Shower and rest room have a strong odor of mold. Shower with high fixture have the spray of a water pick, and low fixture not high enough to get under. We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Motorhome.

I was here to move my son out of OSU at the end of the school year. Due to graduation and prior reservations, I was in the full hookup, lot B, the first night then had to move to the open gravel overflow water and power only, lot E, the next two nights. B sites were gravel and were not level. I needed three to four blocks under the front wheels just to get close. Online reservations were fast and easy but the onsite host, Ken, was non-existent. I had to call the listed number three times just to get the wifi and bathroom codes. Keep calling because he doesn't return calls. Bathrooms, although heavily used, were fairly clean. Free Wifi was over taxed. The host lets you know from the get go that it doesn't work and that "there's nothing I can do about it." The open no shade overflow E lot ($7 less per night) is the gravel lot on the other side of the fairgrounds. There are no bathrooms here and you have to walk through the fairgrounds to get to them. Luckily only every other space in this lot was occupied or else it would have been parking lot tight. You're in the fairgrounds, what do you expect. It's about a 1 1/2 mile walk on the walking / biking path to OSU or just a short drive away. I wouldn't stop here again. We stayed here in a motorhome. We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Motorhome.

Really nice for a fairgrounds CG - quiet, shady, level, very nice host. WARNING: If you are taller than 13' 4" do NOT follow the website directions "From the South on 99W" (turning onto SW 53rd from Philomath Blvd.) There's a low train trestle overpass. Nothing special but certainly OK. Pull throughs, and back ins on west wall, are good for satellite. Verizon data is strong. Park host said WiFi was terrible so we did not try it. Easy in and out. Approach from the south, not from the east through town. Low tree branches coming from the east. Can reserve online. Several biking-walking paths. We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This campground is about your only choice around Corvallis. It is a part of the Benton County Fairgrounds. It is pretty basic but pleasant enough. We were concerned when we first arrived, thinking that it would be noisy since it is right next to the fairgrounds. However, while we were there, their were no events at the fairground, so it was nice and quite. If you arrive without reservations you check with the camp host and he will assign you a site and collect your fee. There are both back-in and pull-through sites. There are only a few sites where you can get satellite. There is Wi-Fi that is fast when it works, but it seems to fairly frequently go down. Verizon air card and cell phones work well. The campground is convenient to the university and downtown and has bike paths that originate from the fairgrounds. Corvallis is a great little city and we will stay at this campground again when we return. We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Motorhome.

We spent a month at this park last year and decided to spend one night there this year on our way home to California. The park is under new management and some improvements have been made. WI-FI works well. Several pull through sites are available. The park is next to the Benton County Fairgrounds. It is quiet most of the time. You have to have a box to get cable and they usually don't give out the boxes to over night guest. We used our digital antenna and got all the local network channels. We love Corvallis and will return. We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is an OK campground: nothing special. Spots are rather close. It's in the Fairgrounds, near the animal barns so there was lots of flies, even though there was no animals at the time. The field next door was being worked so there was a lot of dust. We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is very close to University and town yet it feels like you are in the country. Big trees for the back ins. And no trees for the pull throughs. We were there during a non busy time and it was great. Great Wi-Fi service. Helpful camp host. It is grassy as well. No Mosquitoes so that is good. We would camp here again. This campground is located in the fairground a mile or 2 from the city center. It was very easy to find and very quiet. All utilities plus Wi-Fi and TV cable worked well. Paved sites with no tables and most will require leveling. Several pull throughs available. Camp host was very helpful and knowledgeable. Located very near a great paved walking trail. We found it to be a good value and comfortable. We camped at Benton Oaks RV & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
