We turned around our small C for comfort only to have the manager and soon owner banging on our door at 8am mad as hell that we parked in opposite direction. He was so mad all he wanted was us to leave immediately and harassed us repeatedly threatening to call the sheriff, so we left early.

Not much grass or shade and most sites appeared not level. The gravel needed grading. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very woodsy, the outdoors is all around you. Easy check-in, they take you to your site. Some of the gravel roads and sites could stand a little smoothing out and leveling. Decent hook-ups. No TV and no WiFi. If in the area would stay here again, very handy for Crater Lake. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place, easy in easy out, great manager and hosts. Great spot, quiet, close to Crater Lake NP. No wifi but Verizon worked ok. Lots of space to walk the dogs. Across the street is a Pizza place and boat launch to Diamond Lake. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here because of the proximity to the north entrance of Crater Lake National Park. Closest location to trail to boat tour. Check in was easy, and we had an escort to our site. Don't follow your GPS to get here--regardless if you are using street address or coordinates, it will try to lead you down NFS narrow dirt roads. Our escort said "the Europeans do fine, they follow the road signs--the Americans follow their GPS and get lost." Sites are gravel and level. We were given a pull through with good satellite reception (be sure to ask if that's important because there is quite a bit of tree cover in the park). No cable TV and no over-the-air channels. No wifi. Verizon cell service was spotty at times; we could text and make calls but were unable to connect to hotspot. Hubby put his IPhone on Black and White which did help data reception. Water and sewer hookups vary in location from site to site. We needed 30' of water hose to connect and used the neighbor's sewer hook up after they left because it was closer than our own. Water hookup was at ground level, and it was difficult to attach our water filter. Small picnic table with benches and small patio area. Bathrooms and showers were in a cement block building and interior appeared to be recently remodeled--a nice surprise. There was a wall space heater on a timer for the shower area which was very welcome on a chilly morning. Spacious dressing area for showers. Very clean bathrooms. Several people talked of being treated rudely. Our check-in and escort to our site were both very personable and friendly. However, we met Mr. Rude when we were leaving. We had stopped in the driveway to hook up our towed vehicle, did so in short order and were in the coach washing our hands when grumpy rode up in his golf cart and asked it we were leaving soon. There was no one waiting to get past us. Best place with hookups to stay in the area. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with friendly and helpful staff. Our site was level with a patio just out of front door. Each site had a table and fire ring. We had a pull through site that was plenty long for our 40 foot RV and toad. All hook ups were working as expected and in a good spot for hooking up. No cable but the site we had got Direct TV from dish. Laundry room was very good and wash was only $1.25 and dryers were $1.75 for 1 hour.

We stayed here to visit Crater Lake and was close to North Entrance with friends. Would stay again and would recommend to any one that needs a location close to Crater Lake. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is very convenient to a visit to Crater Lake NP. It also offers access to Diamond Lake. (I went for a very refreshing swim at the beach.) And in general the RV Park has potential. It is situated among lots of trees and seems to have adequate rest rooms, etc. The full hook-ups worked well. But our site, A-10 was very un-level even though it is a pull-through. Unfortunately, unlike many of our neighboring sites, ours was in full sun all day long, with the western sun baking us so that we had no shade at all. Perhaps I should have tried harder to pick a specific site when I made these reservations 6 months ago. Our site was gravel, unmowed, with some poison ivy thrown in as an extra. And as some other reviewers have noted, despite a previous phone call with the staff that told me there was good Verizon service, we had on and off phone service and very unreliable wi-fi service, not dependable at all. We had a little more luck at the parking lot close to the Diamond Lake Resort. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

I have seen some bad reviews about this park but I have to say, I experienced nothing that would make me not want to come back. The staff was helpful and made a point that as long as you follow the rules, you'll be fine and that's exactly what I found. I was warned that the mosquitoes have wing numbers but the only ones I saw only had tail number. Not too big and not really that many of them. This is a private park that looks like a federal park. Nice sites and beautiful setting. Satellite service is very iffy due to the large trees covering most of the park. The park is very close (3 miles) to Crater Lake National Park so it's a good spot to stay if you want to see Crater Lake. I would certainly come back here. We were excited to arrive at this park on July 3 this year. We were shocked by the unfriendly employees/owners in the office and around the grounds. We were given an unlevel site without power and were required to run an extension cord (which they provided) to the site next door, which was to be vacant during our stay (why not just give us a site that had power to begin with?). Yet we were rudely told that we could not park our second vehicle there. A man even came around as we were setting up and unloading and told us to move our second vehicle to guest parking immediately. We went into the office to speak to the lady at the desk about they, but she was adamant that we could not park our car there even though it was a vacant site. There was no mosquito abatement which made it impossible to be outside in the evening without being eaten alive by mosquitos. We had to buy mosquito foggers just to get from the car to the rv without getting bitten. My two girls were yelled at by employees for riding their bikes on the main road, even though I was supervising them. The people who run this place are unfriendly and rude. They drive around in golf carts spying on all the campers to keep them in line. There is nothing for kids to do here. There are no views of the lake. And, once you pay your money, there are no refunds, so even if you check out early they keep your money for the entire stay. Makes you think they are mean to people on purpose just to get their money. I would never recommend this place to anyone and we won't be back. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Diamond Lake RV Park -- like the owner says -- is not at the address indicated on your GPS. It's also NOT at the spot as indicated on Google Maps. Bing maps is at least in the neighborhood. We had to stop at the Resort to ask directions. To make it simple: it's at the far south end of the lake. (The lat/long shown on the website is accurate.) Besides the issue of finding it, the park is fairly nice in most ways that they have control over. It's large, roads can be navigated easily, the sites are gravel and fairly level, hookups are good, has a picnic table and dumpsters are nearby. If there is a sore spot, it is the TOTAL ABSENCE of WiFi, and cell phone coverage is poor-to-none. If being connected is important to you, this is not the place for you. Contrary to other reviews, the two office people we interfaced with were polite and helpful. They even warned us that there are no refunds for any reason. So, that got us to thinking: did we want to stay "un-plugged" for 4 days? Hmm, maybe not. But the other aspect only briefly touched on in other reviews: when we were there (June 7), there were swarms, clouds, invasions of mosquitoes... everywhere, no matter the temperature, no matter if it was raining or not. It was a major fight to keep them off you when hooking up, or doing anything outside. And when they get inside, you spend a lot of time hunting them down. So, that made what was going to be a borderline decision into an absolute choice: we would not stay here. We did stay one night (our deposit -- one night's stay -- would not be refunded) and just imprisoned ourselves until we had to go out and unhook in the morning. Unless it's October-March, I doubt we would ever stay here. Again, it's decent park in most respects, but lack of Internet connectivity and the mosquitoes made it non-viable for us. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

I was leery about this park after multiple reviews mentioned rude staff. We had no problems with staff at all. This park was the most convenient location for Crater Lake- 4 miles to the north entrance and a nice drive from there to views of the lake. Here's the problems: swarms of mosquitoes. So bad that we could never sit outside despite beautiful weather. They literally cover the screens trying to get in. We left early and forfeited a night's cost because of this. Also, could not get satellite because of trees and no cable or local TV. No AT&T cell or phone service anywhere. Sites are adequate, took a little leveling, hook-ups were fine. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stopped here for one night because we could not get into the National Park campsite until the next day and had a boat reservation early the next day.
A nice campground and the managers were great. Directed us to our site and helped us back in. When we told him we were not going to unhook he suggested that he take us to another site that would work better for us. Helped us again.
The site was level enough that we did not have to worry about adjusting the legs. Plenty of space and easy to get around.
They even offered their overflow area to park the camper the next day if we wanted to drive the park without the camper.
Would stay here if in the area again. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
