Sites are gravel/grass but we had no problems with a 45 foot. We were easily able to level - but there are other sites that look more difficult. If you need satellite- ask in advance as there are only a few spots that will work. I throughly enjoyed the on site manager - helpful, engaging - fun - so I have no idea what some of the other comments refer to. We had a view of the lake and mountain - filtered thru the trees. You are in the woods and it really is a nice atmosphere. If you need GPS - use the coordinates on the web site - any others are incorrect. Some of the patio's are in good shape - others broken up but all in all we would stay here again. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

A little too primitive for me. Lots of bugs and no cable, Wi-Fi and most of the time no cell service. Most sights appeared very unlevel. Needed lots of blocks to bring up low side. RV connections a very far apart IE: sewer, electrical and water. All sights and interior roads are gravel. Very beautiful setting in the forest. You may love it, but I prefer a little more conveinience. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

If you enter the address 3500 Diamond Lake Loop you will be routed onto a narrow, rutted dirt road that ends up at a cluster of private campsites. There are no spaces available and all the sites are occupied by permanent units. If you are driving a 40 foot motorhome towing a vehicle it will not be an enjoyable experience. The subject campground is 3 miles further down the Diamond Loop Road. If you go to the campground website there is a statement in red warning of this. I missed that but called the campground and received the correct directions. You will find the Diamond Lake RV Park entrance and sign at the following coordinates 43.13891, -122.13684

We camped here two nights to visit Crater Lake and love the campground and the area. We have a 40 foot motorhome towing a car and were in site A-1 in front of the office. Our Direct TV worked and we had two bars of 4G on the Verizon. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

The staff here is very helpful and showed us to our pull-through site. Very woodsy, like a campground should be. Old picnic table with peeling paint. Fire pit and concrete patio. Very affordable wood in the office ($5.00 for a large bunch), as well as $1 DVD rentals. No WiFi. Cell reception (Verizon) was a struggle at times, even with our booster. Dirt/gravel site with spotty grass. Quiet at night. This was a very pleasant park to stay in. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Crater Lake National Park is a 15 minute drive away and beautiful. Diamond Lake is across the street and has a wonderful bike path (11 miles) around it. Pizza place across from the entrance. Not much to do and no large grocery stores nearby, so stock up before staying here for more than a couple of days.

The main advantage of this campground is location and setting. It is in a beautiful woods, within a mile of Diamond Lake and an easy drive to Crator Lake. Nature abounds! This is pure camping: no internet and bring bug spray. It might be a bit tight for the biggest rigs. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with friendly and helpful staff. Our site was level with a patio just out of front door. Each site had a table and fire ring. We had a pull through site that was plenty long for our 40 foot RV and toad. All hook ups were working as expected and in a good spot for hooking up. No cable but the site we had got Direct TV from dish. Laundry room was very good and wash was only $1.25 and dryers were $1.75 for 1 hour.

We stayed here to visit Crater Lake and was close to North Entrance with friends. Would stay again and would recommend to any one that needs a location close to Crater Lake. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here because of the proximity to the north entrance of Crater Lake National Park. Closest location to trail to boat tour. Check in was easy, and we had an escort to our site. Don't follow your GPS to get here--regardless if you are using street address or coordinates, it will try to lead you down NFS narrow dirt roads. Our escort said "the Europeans do fine, they follow the road signs--the Americans follow their GPS and get lost." Sites are gravel and level. We were given a pull through with good satellite reception (be sure to ask if that's important because there is quite a bit of tree cover in the park). No cable TV and no over-the-air channels. No wifi. Verizon cell service was spotty at times; we could text and make calls but were unable to connect to hotspot. Hubby put his IPhone on Black and White which did help data reception. Water and sewer hookups vary in location from site to site. We needed 30' of water hose to connect and used the neighbor's sewer hook up after they left because it was closer than our own. Water hookup was at ground level, and it was difficult to attach our water filter. Small picnic table with benches and small patio area. Bathrooms and showers were in a cement block building and interior appeared to be recently remodeled--a nice surprise. There was a wall space heater on a timer for the shower area which was very welcome on a chilly morning. Spacious dressing area for showers. Very clean bathrooms. Several people talked of being treated rudely. Our check-in and escort to our site were both very personable and friendly. However, we met Mr. Rude when we were leaving. We had stopped in the driveway to hook up our towed vehicle, did so in short order and were in the coach washing our hands when grumpy rode up in his golf cart and asked it we were leaving soon. There was no one waiting to get past us. Best place with hookups to stay in the area. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very woodsy, the outdoors is all around you. Easy check-in, they take you to your site. Some of the gravel roads and sites could stand a little smoothing out and leveling. Decent hook-ups. No TV and no WiFi. If in the area would stay here again, very handy for Crater Lake. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We turned around our small C for comfort only to have the manager and soon owner banging on our door at 8am mad as hell that we parked in opposite direction. He was so mad all he wanted was us to leave immediately and harassed us repeatedly threatening to call the sheriff, so we left early.

Not much grass or shade and most sites appeared not level. The gravel needed grading. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We were excited to arrive at this park on July 3 this year. We were shocked by the unfriendly employees/owners in the office and around the grounds. We were given an unlevel site without power and were required to run an extension cord (which they provided) to the site next door, which was to be vacant during our stay (why not just give us a site that had power to begin with?). Yet we were rudely told that we could not park our second vehicle there. A man even came around as we were setting up and unloading and told us to move our second vehicle to guest parking immediately. We went into the office to speak to the lady at the desk about they, but she was adamant that we could not park our car there even though it was a vacant site. There was no mosquito abatement which made it impossible to be outside in the evening without being eaten alive by mosquitos. We had to buy mosquito foggers just to get from the car to the rv without getting bitten. My two girls were yelled at by employees for riding their bikes on the main road, even though I was supervising them. The people who run this place are unfriendly and rude. They drive around in golf carts spying on all the campers to keep them in line. There is nothing for kids to do here. There are no views of the lake. And, once you pay your money, there are no refunds, so even if you check out early they keep your money for the entire stay. Makes you think they are mean to people on purpose just to get their money. I would never recommend this place to anyone and we won't be back. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I have seen some bad reviews about this park but I have to say, I experienced nothing that would make me not want to come back. The staff was helpful and made a point that as long as you follow the rules, you'll be fine and that's exactly what I found. I was warned that the mosquitoes have wing numbers but the only ones I saw only had tail number. Not too big and not really that many of them. This is a private park that looks like a federal park. Nice sites and beautiful setting. Satellite service is very iffy due to the large trees covering most of the park. The park is very close (3 miles) to Crater Lake National Park so it's a good spot to stay if you want to see Crater Lake. I would certainly come back here. This park is very convenient to a visit to Crater Lake NP. It also offers access to Diamond Lake. (I went for a very refreshing swim at the beach.) And in general the RV Park has potential. It is situated among lots of trees and seems to have adequate rest rooms, etc. The full hook-ups worked well. But our site, A-10 was very un-level even though it is a pull-through. Unfortunately, unlike many of our neighboring sites, ours was in full sun all day long, with the western sun baking us so that we had no shade at all. Perhaps I should have tried harder to pick a specific site when I made these reservations 6 months ago. Our site was gravel, unmowed, with some poison ivy thrown in as an extra. And as some other reviewers have noted, despite a previous phone call with the staff that told me there was good Verizon service, we had on and off phone service and very unreliable wi-fi service, not dependable at all. We had a little more luck at the parking lot close to the Diamond Lake Resort. We camped at Diamond Lake RV Park in a Motorhome.
