This is a big state park; thankfully the campground is secluded from the day use and boating area which made it pretty quiet. There are a lot of hiking/horse trails in the area. Verizon cell service is good. Each site is HUGE and clean. There was a list of activities/programs attached to the picnic table which made it nice to plan out our stay. We camped at Milo McIver State Park in a Motorhome.

Can't say enough about this wonderful State Park. The sites were spacious and a few are so private you can't see your neighbors through the trees. Excellent, friendly service. Hiking trails with many points of interest. The hiking trails could only be improved by having names on the posts and map so hikers could know where they are.

The Clackamas River had easy access and was close by. Very impressive to see so many recycling bins!

Our family will forever have fond memories of Milo McIver and will look forward to coming back! We camped at Milo McIver State Park in a Motorhome.

Easy drive to the town of Clackamas to catch the light rail to Portland and the airport.

9-only because 30amp. Lovely shaded park with walking trails. Extremely quiet and clean! All parking is on blacktop-cars and rv. You will be getting a true "camping experience!" Our site was 86' long. All sites are back-in. We for sure will be staying here again. We camped at Milo McIver State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park was right up our alley. You are definitely in the woods. There are several trails that you can hike on within the park (access to one is right from your camp site). There are almost 1000 acres and access to the River. We hiked to the Bat Barn on the property, and really enjoyed that.

The parking pads are paved, but the sites are pretty much just dirt because you are in so much shade. The way we had to park we were unable to open our awning, but that was fine as it rained the whole time we were there. There is water and 30 amp electric at the sites, and a dump station. The park was very quite while we were here, but it was definitely slow. I hear it is busy during summer. We camped at Milo McIver State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The town of Estacada is just a few miles away, and much larger town of Sandy 25 minutes away. Between the two we found everything we needed, while feeling like we were away from it all.

Sites are all shaded, large, paved level back-ins, electric/water - no sewer (one dump nearby). The park is quiet with good hiking/horse trails. Picnic tables are extra large. Clackamus River runs through the park. Only 30 amp service and low voltage in the early mornings - trips our surge protector between 8-9am. Great, helpful camp hosts. Views are limited because of all the trees, but lots of green. Mount Hood is nearby. Definitely stay here again. We camped at Milo McIver State Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park, well taken care of, sites are nicely spaced, with power and water for $24.00 night. Lots of walking and horse trails, even a big off leash dog area, horse corals, and disk golf course. Very clean bathroom with free showers. ATT cells works well, was able to get internet through the cell, no dirTv. Note to any one going to Oregon State Parks, they're all on one night at a time or by reservations, makes it kind of hard to just stop in and pick a site for a few nights at a time. All in all great park, I would stay again if in area. We have been told the fishing great!! We camped at Milo McIver State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

OR State parks are rented out by reservations or one night at a time, makes it hard to just pull in and find a site for a few days at a time.

Appealing, densely forested park. Helpful hosts, paved sites, good restaurants in nearest town. Would be 10 except for: very low voltage on weekend / no sewer / bathrooms not cleaned daily (all 6 t.p. rolls empty; same trash in shower was there 2 days later). We camped at Milo McIver State Park in a Motorhome.

Sites are huge with a firepit and picnic table. Most sites are fairly level and easy to back into. Large trees surround the campsites and park. There were a few areas that the branches (small) were tight for our 40' motorhome. This park has a huge dog area about a 1/2 mile from the campsites. Cell service was very good, however our satellite would not work. Overall this is a real gem. We camped at Milo McIver State Park in a Motorhome.

This was a beautiful park. The campsites were very large, treed and private with a fire pit and picnic bench. There are lots of trails, and it's easy walking distance to the river and fish hatchery, from the campsite. The roads were paved so the kids could ride their bikes. Everyone was very quiet in the evening. Liked the 1pm check-out time. We would come back. We camped at Milo McIver State Park in a Motorhome.

Great state park, off the beaten path but Portland is only about 14 miles away. Great sites located in tall timber. The only thing we didn't like about this park was the strange reservation system Oregon uses. The hosts don't know which sites are reserved until the day of the reservation. So, if you pull in and take an open spot, you may have to move the next day to accommodate a reservation. We had to move 3 times in 3 days, and decided to go elsewhere. (Barton Park is only 9 miles from Estacada.) The moral of this story is to not go to this park without advance reservations. We camped at Milo McIver State Park in a Motorhome.

Heavily wood park with beautiful large spots. All RV spots have a fire ring and picnic table. Day use area has river access and an 18 hole Frisbee golf course. There are walking trails, biking trails and horse trails throughout the park. I would stay here again. We camped at Milo McIver State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Campground is heavily wooded with trails and open recreational areas, beautifully green, adjacent to an impressive (Clackamas) river, though no riverside sites. Equestrian park nearby. Convenient to Portland area. Sites are sizeable and relatively private. We camped at Milo McIver State Park in a Travel Trailer.
