This park is part of the Lane County park system. It appears to be well maintained and clean. Roadways and sites are paved. Most sites are back in with a few parallel-to-the-road, pull through sites. It appears all sites are full hookups with 30/50 amps. If reserving online, add $10 transaction fee. Office hours are as noted by other reviewers. Check-in is noted at 2pm, but the office closes at 2pm. We checked into the office, but really didn't need to as we had our reservation and knew the site number we had reserved. You'll need to see the camphost to get code numbers for bathrooms and laundry if you plan to use them. We didn't have any problems with non-campers as mentioned in previous reviews. This was our second stay and we will stay here again. We camped at Armitage Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground but it appears that the staff is not in sync with each other. We arrived at about 11 AM and was told that check in was not until 2 PM. Since there is not enough space to wait you have to physically leave the premise. When the other host was on duty he had no problem letting people go their sites before 2 PM. The office hours were a little strange. 10 to 12, 1 to 2 and 4 to 5. However check in was at 2 PM. How does that work? Most of the sites were back-ins and all had FHU. The interior roads and sites were on asphalt. The sites were long enough to accommodate a large rig and tow and were mostly leveled. The electrical voltage was good - hovering around 120 volts. There is a fire ring and picnic table. There is also a large dog run. The bathrooms near the entrance were not very pleasant looking. Steel sinks and toilets and no doors. The floor would use a high pressure washing. The other bathroom was located near the group sites. There are 2 private bathrooms in the front and the other 2 in the back of the building. Next to the bathroom was a laundry. Washers cost $2 and dryers were $0.25 for 14 minutes. Both the laundry and bathrooms had a keypad lock. Wifi was available and somewhat usable. Verizon air card was slow but the cell phone worked well. There is a huge day use area and boat ramp behind of the campground. The gate to this area is closed at 8 PM to prevent people sleeping in the park. There is some road noise from I-5. Overall this is not a bad campground. We would come back to this park if we were in the area. We have a 32 foot 5th wheel. We camped at Armitage Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived after 5 p.m. and there was no camp host on duty to check us in. We were able to find the site fine, but eventually needed to track down the host to get the code for the laundry room (he was cagey about giving it out; apparently they have had issues with the homeless and others using the facilities). The park is spacious but very open without much privacy. Higher-numbered sites seemed to be more in the woods and maybe a little more private (plus closer to the laundry). We camped at Armitage Park in a Motorhome.

We return to this park whenever we are in Oregon. Their online reservation is user-friendly and their cancellation policy is fair. This year we were in SITE 5. It is a back-in with plenty of room for our Big Rig and our towed with full hook-ups. We discovered that we were unable to get the satellite tuned in due to a large tree on the driver's side. We used their local cable. The campgrounds are well kept and the park provides beautiful walking trails. Usually you can just find your reserved site and park. They mark the sites with reservations but make sure you check-in with the ranger to get the codes for rest rooms and laundry. They are a bit picky about giving them out after. We camped at Armitage Park in a Motorhome.

Decent county park lots of trees. We were fortunate that our site had some sky to allow our Direct TV sat to connect up. Sites are "spacious" but very little privacy. Sites seem to be level. The water spigot at the site had a terrible leak which created a huge pool of water. We instead just filled our onboard fresh water tank and used the water pump. We camped at Armitage Park in a Motorhome.

We camped in an RV with full hookups, including very good WiFi and Cable. This extremely spacious County park is the first of its kind we have stayed at. It marvels many of the RV parks we have been too, surpassing a number of them. The entire time we stayed the park was full. Despite that, it was very quiet. Staff were courteous and on top of things, while at the same time being very unobtrusive. There is a great laundry, and the showers and restrooms are fine. We camped at Armitage Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park. Plenty of room in each site. Paved pad. Would give a higher rating except the camp host was a jerk!!!! He probably never had authority in his life, until now, and he's using it. He could have been accommodating but would rather show his authority. Bitched at us when we were hooking up our tow that we were in the WRONG place. It was 7AM and not a sole in site. If he's there, I won't return!!!! We camped at Armitage Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice, convenient park to stay. Quiet, no trains or hwy noise. Would stay again but hopefully get a site where we could get satellite. Space 24 is plenty long for our 43' rig & tow but trees prevented satellite. No pools, spas here, just the basics. 32 RV sites so park can be busy. Try to book ahead. Park host onsite. Shopping & plenty of restaurants in easy driving distance. We camped at Armitage Park in a Motorhome.

Wonderful county park, we have stayed several times. Now that everyone knows about it, it is a bit hard to get reservations sometimes though :). WIFI at some sites, depends on where you are though! There is a dog park and plenty of places to walk dogs. Some spots are too shady for satellite reception. Online reservations are easy, but there is a $10 fee. They do have photos of the sites which is helpful. We camped at Armitage Park in a Motorhome.

We made a reservation online so there was no check-in, we drove straight to our site. Our site was just long enough to fit the motorhome and toad. Fairly spacious between sites, some more than others. Utilities fine, WII FI not so fine(didn't work), Directv fine. Verizon had 4g 2 bars but sometimes our phones didn't work at all. Definite road noise from either Coburg Rd or Beltline but it quiets down at night This is apparently a known high crime area; unbeknownst to us until my husband's bike was stolen in the middle of the night. Both of our bikes were on a bike rack secured with a kevlar cable. The thief(s) cut through the cable, and stole my husband's bike from the inside rack. For whatever reason, they left my bike. They are the same brand except one is for women and one is for men. So only $900 down the drain rather than double that &$#**. The only slight satisfaction is that my husband had previously removed all the bike pedals. So it must have been an interesting escape. The camphosts and sheriff were both pretty blasé about the whole deal. A) the campground needs security/cameras and B) campers should be made aware of the situation before arriving. Such a letdown! Anyway, there is lots of shopping but it is extremely busy - you feel like an ambulance chaser trying to find parking spots at Costco, Trader Joes or Winco. There are also many places to have your RV serviced which was the main reason we were here. We camped at Armitage Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a couple of nights in between service appointments on our coach in Eugene, Oregon area. We spent most of October 2016 traveling in Oregon, and must say that their state and county park systems are outstanding. If your rig will fit, I would encourage you to seek out these parks as an alternative to conventional RV parks.

This particular park had fully paved access and individual sites were paved as well. Very spacious, plenty of room between sites. Full hookups. and even wifi and cable, which worked flawlessly...hard to believe that was available in a county park. Grounds were well maintained and clean. We did not use their facilities, so we cannot comment on that, but showers and laundry were available. Park has very large, fenced dog park which our travel companion loved. Nice walking trail along McKenzie River within park boundaries. We camped at Armitage Park in a Motorhome.

We stay here at least once a year and it is owned and managed by Lane County. Good stuff first, great river walk by the MacKenzie River with the larger day use park next door and a wonderful dog park located at the entrance of the park. NOT so good stuff, filthy restrooms in the am. I will not use them again. Advertised WiFi is non-existent to only a few sites that can pick up the signal. FALSE advertising folks. I was told that they plan to invest in better WiFi over a year ago, still have not done this. This park is always full when we stay, and it got tons of Oregon Duck fans, alumni etc. So what is the problem. Why doesn't the parks administrator HIT up Nike or some similar Oregon state University deep pocket contributor to UPGRADE the WiFi? We camped at Armitage Park in a Travel Trailer.
